String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742474 Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Easter,Standards,World. Score and parts. 50 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4601825. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742474). Antonio Lucio Vivaldi  4 March 1678 – 28 July 1741) was an Italian Baroque musical composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher, and priest. Born in Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic, he is regarded as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread across Europe. He composed many instrumental concertos, for the violin and a variety of other instruments, as well as sacred choral works and more than forty operas. His best-known work is a series of violin concertos known as the Four Seasons. Many of his compositions were written for the all-female music ensemble of the Ospedale della Pietà, a home for abandoned children. Vivaldi had worked there as a Catholic priest for 1 1/2 years and was employed there from 1703 to 1715 and from 1723 to 1740. Vivaldi also had some success with expensive stagings of his operas in Venice, Mantua and Vienna. After meeting the Emperor Charles VI, Vivaldi moved to Vienna, hoping for royal support. However, the Emperor died soon after Vivaldi's arrival, and Vivaldi himself died, in poverty, less than a year later. Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Vivaldi

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764643 Composed by Giuseppe Verdi. Arranged by James Pybus. Opera,Romantic Period. 11 pages. James Pybus #34867. Published by James Pybus (A0.764643). La donna è mobile (The woman is fickle) is the Duke of Mantua's canzone from the beginning of act 3 of Giuseppe Verdi's opera Rigoletto (1851). The inherent irony is that the Duke, a callous playboy, is the one who is mobile (inconstant). The canzone is famous as a showcase for tenors. Raffaele Mirate's performance of the bravura aria at the opera's 1851 premiere was hailed as the highlight of the evening. Before its first public performance (in Venice), it was rehearsed under tight secrecy: a necessary precaution, because it proved to be catchy and soon after its first public performance every gondolier in Venice was singing it. The present arrangement written in 2011 for Saxophone Quartet has been transposed to the more saxophone-friendly key of Bb from the original B major. Duration 2:37 contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com.

Descant recorder (flute/oboe/violin) and basso continuo - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q778820 Composed by Diogenio Bigaglia. Downloadable. Musikverlag Robert Lienau - Digital #Q778820. Published by Musikverlag Robert Lienau - Digital (S9.Q778820). Key: C major. German • English • French.Diogenio Bigaglia (approx. 1676-1745) does not only share similar biographical data with Vivaldi (who was two years his junior), but he also came from Venice and was a musician and member of the clergy. After joining the order of St. Benedict in 1694, Bigaglia spent his life in the monastery of S. Giorgio Maggiore and even became the monastery's prior in later years. The major part of his religious works has been lost; but we do know that their performance had not been restricted to Venice alone and there is reason to assume that his secular music met with the same widespread popularity. This new edition now presents yet another of Bigaglia's sonatas which has so far been neglected and is now available in print for the first time. The manuscript source is part of a volume which contains copies of further Soli, one of them being a violin sonata by Vivaldi which had been neglected for quite some time. Bigaglia's sonata is especially suited for soprano recorder but can also be performed by other instruments.

Treble recorder and basso continuo; cello ad libitum - easy to intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q15848 Composed by Benedetto Marcello. This edition: Sheet music. Original Music for Recorder. Downloadable. Op. 2/7. Schott Music - Digital #Q15848. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q15848). Key: B flat major.Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739) comes from an old patrician family in Venice. He received his musical education first at home from his father who gave him his first violin lessons, and later from Francesco Gasparini who taught at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice. The 'nobile Veneto dilettante di contrappunto', as he called himself to point out that he did not regard music as his main profession, wrote and published a vast number of vocal and instrumental works. His flute sonatas, twelve well elaborated compositions, which make rewarding musical and technical demands on lovers of the flauto dolce, were printed several times during their creator's lifetime. This new edition contains the text of the clearly improved edition by E. Roger instead of the Venetian first edition.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742476 Composed by Benedetto Marcello. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Easter,Standards,World. Score and parts. 43 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4602679. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742476). Benedetto Giacomo Marcello (Italian: [beneˈdetto marˈtʃɛllo]; (31 July or 1 August 1686 – 24 July 1739) was an Italian composer, writer, advocate, magistrate, and teacher. Born in Venice, Benedetto Marcello was a member of a noble family and his compositions are frequently referred to as Patrizio Veneto. Although he was a music student of Antonio Lotti and Francesco Gasparini, his father wanted Benedetto to devote himself to law. Benedetto managed to combine a life in law and public service with one in music. In 1711 he was appointed a member of the Council of Forty (in Venice's central government), and in 1730 he went to Pola as Provveditore (district governor). Due to his health having been impaired by the climate of Istria, Marcello retired after eight years in the capacity of Camerlengo to Brescia where he died of tuberculosis in 1739. Benedetto Marcello was the brother of Alessandro Marcello, also a notable composer. On 20 May 1728 Benedetto Marcello married his singing student Rosanna Scalfi in a secret ceremony. However, as a nobleman his marriage to a commoner was unlawful and after Marcello's death the marriage was declared null by the state. Rosanna was unable to inherit his estate, and filed suit in 1742 against Benedetto's brother Alessandro Marcello, seeking financial support.
