Small Ensemble Flute,Piano,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882258 Composed by G. F. Handel. Arranged by A. Douglas Biggs. Contemporary,Easter,Sacred. Score and parts. 11 pages. Adrian D Biggs #5723707. Published by Adrian D Biggs (A0.882258). Agnus dei for high or medium Voice, Flute Solo and Piano uses as an inspiration the melody from the aria Ombra mai fú from Handel’s opera Serse. The long, lyrical melody borne forward by the steady, quiet, powerful accompaniment conveys a tranquil sacredness. The sense of entreaty and desire for benediction expressed in the Agnus Dei seems a natural fit with Handel’s famous melody. An introduction featuring Solo Flute precedes the voice calling out agnus dei, qui tollis peccata mundi. An instrumental meditation follows leading back to the conclusion of the piece. Arrangements for other ensembles are also available (Vocal Solo, SSA, SATB) as well as featuring, Solo Violin, Flute, Oboe or Clarinet and soloist with chorus. Difficulty is moderate for both the singer, instrumental soloist and pianist and is suitable for a sacred setting or the concert hall. Duration approximately 4 minutes. Score and part included.

Voice Duet Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.578441 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. 10 pages. David Warin Solomons #4804947. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.578441). Mysterious duet based on this poem, with much use of harmonics on the guitar:(Technical note: the unusual chord in bars 7, 10, 11 etc is produced by placing fingers 1 and 2 of the left hand on the 6th and 7th fret of the G and D strings respectively and sweeping down as harmonics over the 19th fret with the right hand (index finger lightly touching the strings over the 19th fret and annular finger plucking the strings a little higher up). The result is unclear harmonics on the G and D strings, which is intentional, and clear octave-and-a-fifth harmonics on the other strings).

Guitar,Medium-Low Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1205814 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Simon James. Chamber,Classical,Opera. 11 pages. DML #803997. Published by DML (A0.1205814). This charming serenade is taken from Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni. Although originally a type of madrigal by the 18th century the term Canzonetta came to mean a song for voice and accompaniment, usually in a light secular style. The Canzonetta appears at the beginning of Act 2 of Don Giovanni. Wanting to seduce Donna Elvira's maid, and believing that she will trust him better if he appears in lower-class clothes, Don Giovanni orders Leporello to exchange cloak and hat with him. Leporello, posing as Don Giovanni, leads Donna Elvira away to keep her occupied while Don Giovanni serenades her maid with his mandolin - Deh, vieni alla finestra – Ah, come to the window. The original instrumentation was for mandolin and pizzicato strings and so transfers to two guitars very well. I have dropped the key from D to C as otherwise the baritone part is rather high and the key change makes it more comfortable. The guitar parts are not difficult but do need a really good sense of ensemble. I have altered the chord voicings occasionally to better suit the guitar and sometimes changed octave for guitar 1 which is essentially the mandolin part.
