The line ‘my bones may creek’, ‘I fall asleep’ (bar 11-12), the ‘soft shoe shuffle in order to keep fit’ (bar 15-16) and bar 18 are just asking for some action and the facial expressions could make this song memorable as much as fun to perform. ‘Sixty is a number that anyone can be’ – for the younger members of the choir (or by personal choice) the last alto bar cold be change to ‘Not ME’ and different voices can use that line.
