Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1215082). O dulcis Virgo Mater (O sweet Virgin mother) is a petition to Mary, the mother of Jesus, that we might know her pain as witness to the passion of her son and thereby understand his pain, his sacrifice, and his love for us. Especially fitting for Holy Week, the text by Rev. Fr. Edward Fitzhugh, an Anglican priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas (ACNA) pleads:O dulcis Virgo Mater, Maria sanctissima: Adiuva nos ad dolorem tuum sentire. (O sweet Virgin Mother, Mary most holy: help us to feel your pain.) Through your tears we will know his pain; through your woe we will know his love. Adiuva! Adiuva! Adiuva nos sciamus. (Help us know.)O dulcis Virgo Mater, Maria sanctissima: Adiuva nos ad dolorem tuum sentire. For a mother to see her son betrayed, scourged, and hung— Adiuva! Adiuva! Adiuva! Adiuva nos sciamus.O dulcis Virgo Mater, Maria sanctissima: Adiuva nos ad dolorem tuum sentire. To know your boundless sorrow is to truly know our Savior. Adiuva! Adiuva! Adiuva nos sciamus. Adiuva! Adiuva! Adiuva nos sciamus. Amen. The tune, also by Fitzhugh, is arranged for unaccompanied SATB voices by Todd Marchand.Text and tune ©2023 Edward Fitzhugh. Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1323225 Composed by Cornish folk tune. Arranged by Todd Marchand. Advent,Christmas,Folk,Holiday,Sacred. 10 pages. Con Spirito Music #911489. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1323225). “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen†is an English traditional carol dating, perhaps, to the 16th or 17th century. A manuscript, ca. 1650, contains a version with the first line, “Sit you merry gentlemen†and the refrain, “O tidings of comfort and joy.†The earliest known printed edition of the carol is a London broadsheet dated 1760, in which the first line is the familiar “God rest ye merry, gentlemen.†By the 19th century, the carol was well-known, with Charles Dickens referencing it in his 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol. The phrase “God rest you merry†in the first line is an archaic idiom meaning “God grant you peace and happiness.†William Shakespeare used the phrase “rest you merry†in his plays, “As You Like It†and “Romeo and Juliet,†both from the 1590s; but Dickens recorded the phrase as “God bless you, merry gentlemen†in A Christmas Carol. The tune adapted for use in this arrangement was at the time of its notation a wordless, nameless melody noted in 1905 by folk song collector E. Quintrell from the singing of a Mr. Boaden in Cornwall, England. The tune was sent to Lucy Broadwood, editor of the Journal of the Folk-Song Society, who decided that it fit the ballad, “The Maid in Bedlam,†and published the tune and text together. Gustav Holst later arranged the tune as Song without Words ‘I'll Love My Love’†in his Second Suite in F for Military Band, Op. 28, No. 2 (1911) and again as “I Love My Love†in his 6 Choral Folksongs, Op. 36 (1916). Set in F minor (Dorian), the tune brings a contemplative tone to the text, with the high point of the refrain being the subdominant Bb major chord on the word “joy.†The rich, dark timbre of solo clarinet (part included) on introduction, interludes, and ending adds to this tone. SATB voices (with some divisi on soprano and tenor), piano, Bb clarinet©Copyright 2023 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP). Vocal Solo,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.701678 Composed by Kevin G. Pace, Mark R. Fotheringham. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. 2 pages. Kevin G. Pace #3245553. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701678). An original hymn with text by Mark Fotheringham below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/xRnYpEOK4w4Let all ye mountains and valleys cry aloud And all ye seas and dry land shout it out. Let all the dead speak forth anthems of praise For the Lord in His glory shall open the graves. Then shall the righteous remember and see; For the prisoners shall surely go free.   Sun, moon, and stars sing together to our Lord. All sons of God shout for joy at His Word. Let all creation remember His name, Since the day that He made them, He still is the same; Purging our stains when from darkness we flee, For the prisoners shall surely go free.   What do we hear in the gospel we receive? Voices of truth to the souls who believe, Angels of God crying truth is restored, Ancient words rising from the dust as the prophets implored, Line upon line heard in grand harmony For the prisoners shall surely go free.

Choral Choir (3-Part Mixed) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.575594 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Octavo. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #2026225. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575594). This version of Wine and Water (based on the satirical poem by G.K. Chesterton about Noah and his drinking habits) is written for three part men's choir (or three soloists) (Alto Tenor Bass). It is quite challenging - especially where voices pretend to be rain going pitter patter very fast, but great fun. The sound sample was performed by Matthew Curtis of choraltracks.com. A video of this version can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMLhnZUf6F0 Other simpler versions of this song (solo voice with piano or guitar chord) are also available here.
