Lyrics accredited to Patrick Gilmore & tune to Louis Lambert, 1863.

It is a practice seeing how long one can hold each note written while the chords play underneath. I titled this energetic piece to help the early intermediate pianist to feel the two big beats in each bar.  Feel the strong drive forward as you say, Galloping onward, galloping onward, galloping onward, galloping on.  Watch out for the dotted eighth notes in the bass...that last sixteenth note should land right after the last eighth note in the right hand.
