Concert Band - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927173 Composed by George Willson. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 98 pages. George Willson #4601563. Published by George Willson (A0.927173). Creature began as a joke in high school between a friend of mine and me where we described the radical mood swings of our band directors as a creature coming forth from inside of them. Think about the alien from Alien 3 where it opened its mouth and its tongue was a little alien head with teeth of its own. I thought it would be fun to write a piece of music around this creature, so I wrote a short series of story beats and then some music around it. The full story is, unfortunately, lost to history, but the music survived the twenty-five years since its original composition, and in honor of my young self, I merely edited any typos and left it just as I wrote it when I was a seventeen-year-old high school senior. This was my first, solo-written, full band composition, and one can hear that I was a huge fan of Igor Stravinsky. This is not an easy piece to play. It has time changes aplenty, fast runs in the upper woodwinds, very exposed parts in nearly every section, large interval leaps, and spares hardly anyone's range. The eighth note remains constant across the 4 and 8 time signatures, and the breakdown of the complex time signatures is apparent in how the eighth notes are barred. As a conductor, it will be challenging as well, but I survived it on two occasions as both a senior in high school and in front of a military band, so it can be done. So enjoy the musical story of a creature who attacks people in its rage and hunger before it is chased and defeated by an angry mob ... but did it really die? George Willson has been an performer, composer, and conductor for thirty years in various mediums and ensembles.Mp3 provided is a midi extracted from the composition program.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Instrumental Duet,Recorder - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596499 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards,World. Score and parts. 9 pages. Juan Maria Solare #3213415. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596499). Tagoriana  three pieces for recorder (or flute, or any melodic instrument) December 2016 - February 2017 I - Kailash, the witty cashier (2:45) II - We read the world wrong and say that it deceives us (3:15) III - Friendship is like fluorescence (1:20) Total Duration: 7:20   The titles are references to the life and writings of Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) I We had an old cashier, Kailash by name, who was like one of the family. He was a great wit, and would be constantly cracking jokes with everybody, old and young; recently married sons-in-law, new comers into the family circle, being his special butts. There was room for the suspicion that his humour had not deserted him even after death. Once my elders were engaged in an attempt to start a postal service with the other world by means of a planchette. At one of the sittings the pencil scrawled out the name of Kailash. He was asked as to the sort of life one led where he was. Not a bit of it, was the reply. Why should you get so cheap what I had to die to learn? Rabindranath Tagore: My Reminiscences | Chapter 2: Teaching Begins (1912)  II  We read the world wrong and say that it deceives us. Rabindranath Tagore: Stray Birds (1916) III The real friendship is like fluorescence, it shines better when everything has darken. Small Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.701806 Composed by Kevin G. Pace, Kathryn W. Hales. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 4 pages. Kevin G. Pace #3478101. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701806). An original hymn with text by Kathryn Hales below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/n9CtBcR21ts Revelation is the removal of the veil Between God and mortal man. He parts the heavenly curtain to share His will, revealing what He can. To each may be given answers or direction, Comfort, warning or protection, Hoping we will choose his Divine Plan.   Through a prophet He speaks to all mankind Spanning distance, time, and space so wide, Establishing truth through commandments That we may in Him abide. Power to overcome temptations, Comes by heeding revelations, That we may ever be found on the Lord’s side.   Revelation comes to the prophet For directing Church affairs; To young and old come calls to serve, To relieve daily needs or desperate cares, Or to teach or lead, Clothe or feed; In God’s work we’re called to share.   Worthiness to receive God’s will with A sincere and contrite heart, Is necessary for each one of us, That we might see His curtain part; Knowing God’s work fills all time and space, For every nation, tongue, and race, Revelation parts the veil, God’s knowledge to impart.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.928405 Composed by Noah Fire. Contemporary. Score. 5 pages. Noah Fire #6115683. Published by Noah Fire (A0.928405). In Search of Lost Time  This is really not a good time for this virus to show up. Not when I'm 68 years old. Couldn’t it have arrived ten years ago before I became                                     elderly?   I can make myself ten years younger. (Maybe twelve or fifteen. Why stop at ten?) My mother did that   during the war. After she said we were safe they couldn't get to us because of the ocean.   Now six feet                                                apart no ocean protects us. Too bad we didn't learn to                  breathe under water.   I watch television wonder why people are standing so close to each other. I walk in zigzags. My ponytail pulls at the strings of the mask                                                             suffocating me.   At night I check the doors. But who will sneak in now? The                                                                              virus is the only one                                                                        out and about.   How old will                                                   my grandchildren be when I hold them again? Will the youngest be surprised to see we have bodies attached to our heads that we don’t live                                                                   on a.
