Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818377 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple. Praise & Worship. Score. 35 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6753169. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818377). Infinite, Eternal, Invisible, Undetectable God ♫ original song by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ based on 2 Chronicles 2:6, John 1:18, John 4:24 ♫ CCLI song # 7193328 ♫ Does God, the Creator of the Universe, have a face, eyes, ears, hands, arms, and feet? (Eze 39:29, Ps 34:15, Isa 59:1, Ps 98:1) Does He have wings like a chicken that He uses to comfort us? (Ps 91:4) Does He travel on the back of a cherub? (Psalm 18:10) Are the clouds a hiding place for God? (Job 22:14) Is His residence a place called heaven? Is the earth the footstool of His throne? (Isaiah 66:1) Does God change His mind? (Ex 32:14) ♫ The poetry of the Bible, (like other ancient literature) is full of figures of speech. Figures of speech explain things in words and ideas we can understand. The Bible abounds in figures of speech such as simile (comparison using like or as), metaphor (comparison not using like or as), synecdoche (using a part for the whole), deliberate hyperbole [obvious exaggeration], verbal irony (the tone of voice tells that the speaker means the opposite of the words he or she is using), personification (attributing human features or feelings to animals or inanimate objects), anthropomorphism / anthropopathism (gives human attributes, feelings to God.) [or animals, inanimate objects, cartoon characters.] ♫ God is spirit. (John 1:18, John 4:24) He is infinite, eternal, invisible, undetectable. The humanlike descriptions of God are actually figures of speech that help us understand and identify with Him. Descriptions of God’s eyes, arms, feet, wings, etc. are all figures of speech that tell us God is present everywhere, sees everything, hears everything, and cares about every part of his creation. (God is imminent). ♫ The heavens, even the highest heavens cannot contain Him. (2 Chronicles 2:6, 6:18) God is separate from the universe. (God is transcendent.) Scientific measurements cannot detect Him because He is not in the universe, the universe is in Him. ♫ Just as you can feel your fingers and your toes at the same time, God knows what is happening in every atom of the universe simultaneously. Back to the original question. ♫ After swimming laps in our local pool, I like to float on my back a bit. It reminds me that as the water surrounds me and supports me, so I am constantly encircled and upheld by God’s actual presence ♫ music © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymploe♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ presentation © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ sequenced by the composer ♫ This .pdf file includes 1) labeled copies for up to 7 printed copies of the vocal with piano accompaniment and 2) vocal with piano accompaniment for 10 inch tablet. Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767270 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 13 pages. Lyons Music Services #3218673. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767270). As part of my continuing project to transcribe Monteverdi's madrigals onto winds, here is the 6th book. In this book we see a much greater development towards dramatic representation. In a way, this book is divisible into two Scenes with a number of single items in between. The vocal lines are all much more complex and we can also see the beginnings of monodic writing appear in the semi-recit sections of some of the songs. Also clearly developing are delineations of the voices into soloists and chorus. Several songs in this book are almost akin to arias, with clear soloistic writing for the higher voices (Cantus/Tenor). The first four songs form a kind of introductory scena, which Monteverdi calls Lamento d'Arianna. The first of these is Lasciatemi morire which translates as Let me die or, perhaps, Leave me to die. There is almost a conversation between two groups of voices, with the tenor leading one group and the Cantus leading the other. As with all things madrigalian, the lyrics are rife with double entendres. Monteverdi uses some very close dissonances to describe death and release.

Although the recorder is often the instrument with wich children will make their first musical discoveries, it is also an instrument of the highest artistic merit. This series of books tries to link these two extremes, providing a carefully planned pathway between first, playful contact with the instrument and professional recorder playing. The three Tutor Books are suitable for use both with small groups and for individual tuition. Progress is methodical and is made in small steps placing great value on consistent work with breathing, sound production and the development of rhythmic security. In the Tutor books we speak directly to the child and provide carefully planned, precisely formulated exercises. We recognise that some children learning the recorder will not yet be able to read, but hope that this will provide an opportunity for a parent or teacher to become involved in the learning process. Each step in this process should be fun and accessable to both the parent/teacher and the child. Tutor Book 1 is intended for children from about six years of age. Previous musical experience is not essential but undoubtedly would prove useful. It concentrates on the notes B, A, g, E1, C2 and D2, leaving sufficient time and space for the development of articulation, rhythmic security and breathing techniques. Tutor Book 2 adds the notes C1, D2, F2, E2, F2 and B flat, whilst Tutor Book 3 completes the range up to C3 - at which point the treble recorder can be introduced. Tutor Books 1, 2 and 3 are complemented by Tune Books 1, 2 and 3. The tune Books are matched to the stages of learning process of the Tutor Books and provide additional practice pieces and exercises, sometimes with accompainment. In the Teacher's Commentary we explain the teaching methodology behind the tutor and provide stimulation for ideas for lessons. It will be helpful if the child has a manuscript book of her or his own, or some manuscript book. Dotty's Note Book (ED 12641) is specially designed for the purpose, with large staves suitable for children as well as plain pages for words and pictures. We wish users of this tutor every success and happiness with their recorder playing.

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767268 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 324 pages. Lyons Music Services #3218659. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767268). As part of my continuing project to transcribe Monteverdi's madrigals onto winds, here is the 6th book. In this book we see a much greater development towards dramatic representation. In a way, this book is divisible into two Scenes with a number of single items in between. Several songs in this book are almost akin to arias, with clear soloistic writing for the higher voices (Cantus/Tenor). The first four songs form a kind of introductory 'scena', which Monteverdi calls Lamento d'Arianna. A little later, there is a set of 6 songs which he grouped together under the title Sestina. A Sestina is a complex poem made up of 6 stanzas each of 6 verses with rules regarding hoe the last line of the first verse is repeated. Obviously, we are not using the lyrics, but we need to be aware of the structure so that when the music reappears we can treat it appropriately. As with all things madrigalian, the lyrics are rife with double entendres, despite the fact that all of the lyrics deal with loss of one kind or another. Monteverdi uses some very close dissonances to describe death and release. Often with wrenching results for the harmony. Please note, there are two extra parts for No.13, which is for 7 voices. Part 6 is an Alto voice (Horn/Alto Sax/Clarinet) and part 7 is a tenor voice (Trombone/Baritone/Tenor Sax/Euphonium).

Recorder Solo,Soprano Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1347183 Composed by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown. Arranged by songbooks.info. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Standards. Individual part. 4 pages. Songbooks.info #931979. Published by songbooks.info (A0.1347183). Singin' in the Rain is a hit film written in 1929 by Arthur Freed (lyrics) and Nacio Herb Brown (music). Gene Kellys dances and sings in the 1952 sound film of the same name.Already after the Second World War, the song became a jazz standard and was performed by artists such as Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, John Serry Sr., Sammy Davis Jr. and Doris Day, just to name a few artists. In 2004, the American Film Institute ranked the song third in its list of the 100 best American film songs. The song was adapted for the Soprano or Tenor Recorder and provided with fingering images. These images are briefly explained in the appendix. The classic musical notation and/or the lyrics help to develop the song, so that even those unfamiliar with music notes can learn to play the song with this arrangement. The sound of a Vibraphone was used in the setting, so the sound does not mix with the sound of your own instrument. The melody is backed by a metronome and quietly by an organ.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1354521 By Traditional Song. By Traditional Song. Arranged by Bacco Baccanels. A Cappella,Folk,Multicultural,Traditional,World. 7 pages. Bacco Baccanels #939239. Published by Bacco Baccanels (A0.1354521). English--------The original version of this emigrant song is quite simple: same melody repeats throughout the song. More, the existing vocal arrangements I've heard are quite steady and not so rhythmic. So I tried to add some movement: there is a musical introduction with little lyrics and then we move on to the main theme, where the bass gives rhythm to the main melody.Shortly after, with a Queen-inspired variation coming from Bohemian Rhapsody the score modulates in a close key, to underline the singing of the brothers of the song's sad heroin and immediately after the theme softens to leave room to the sad mother heralding the coming tragedy.A tragedy that is sung immediately afterwards, in minor, and then returns to the main melody until the finale, where after a choral phrase we return to the main theme.
