Flute Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.865251 Arranged by Chris Cooke. Christmas. Individual part. 29 pages. Chris Cooke #3542557. Published by Chris Cooke (A0.865251). , This early intermediate collection provides Christmas cheer for secular settings. These duets (or even the melody line) can accompany carols) since these selections are within reasonable vocal ranges. Enjoy the Christmas cheer as you play carols that cover at least three centuries. Find a little merriment as the tune from Jolly Old St. Nicholas pairs nicely with several measures of Pachelbel’s cannon, for instance. Other books in this series are transposed for clarinet-trumpet, alto sax, French horn and trombone-baritone-bassoon. Since all are written in the same concert key, they can be mixed and matched for duet purposes. The songs and their concert keys are as follows:   The Boar’s Head Carol, B-flat Carol of the Flutes, G Minor Christmas is Coming, E-flat Deck the Halls, E-flat Good King Wenceslas, F Here We Come A-Caroling, C Jingle Bells, C Jolly Old St. Nicholas Visits Pachelbel, F Oh Christmas Tree, F Toyland, F Up on the Housetop, C Wassail Song, F We Wish You a Merry Christmas, F

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1157142 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Classical,Contemporary. Octavo. 15 pages. Sally Whitwell #757469. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.1157142). Written in the Stars -- text and music by Sally Whitwell Written in the Stars was originally conceived in the aftermath of the 2019-2020 bushfire season, the most destructive Australia has yet seen. At the time, we thought things couldn’t get worse, but then followed more extreme weather events, insect and rodent plagues, and a deadly pandemic that brought the world to its knees. All these things are connected, the result of humanity’s exploitative relationship with the planet and its other inhabitants. But we continue to deny the problems and to fail to act. As a species, in our more optimistic moments, we talk about having great opportunities to reinvent, that to live the status quo means that we will be faced with an untenable future. Talking about it is one thing but as far as I see it, we are not taking any opportunities to act. It is clear that we do not learn from our mistakes. As Spanish American writer George Santayana once said “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.†It is from this notion that this song was born. Written in the Stars is about society’s propensity to go through cycles of behaviour, never learning from the mistakes of the past. Written in the Stars was originally commissioned by Adelaide Chamber Singers, directed by Carl Crossin. Sally Whitwell January 2023.

By David Babyface Foster and Linda Thompson-Jenner. Arranged by Michael Pilley. Christmas,Contemporary. Brass Band. 62 pages. Michael Pilley Music #4848833. Published by Michael Pilley Music (A0.746222). Written for Silvie Paladino and the Melbourne Staff Band, this arrangement is adapted off the John Foreman version from Melbourne’s Carols by Candlelight. Scored for Vocal Solo and Salvation Army Brass Band with Piano and Bass Guitar with optional Children's Choir, this stunning version of a very popular tune will be a perfect end to any Christmas program.Grown Up Christmas List is a poignant reminder at this special time of year of the trouble and strife that exists in our world. The lyrics ask for instead of presents to be given to this grown-up, that wars will never start, and time would heal all hearts, a stark contrast to the selfish nature that can pop up in during Christmas. We should all take the time to contemplate what our wish for our world is, and set aside our own desires to help others during this period of celebration. With a simple Piano part and and optional Bass Guitar and Children's Choir, this arrangement is able to performed with most bands at an Intermediate level. Beautifully laid out in A4 size, the score and parts are easy to read and available NOW for digital download. We suggest you print on 80gsm paper, to ensure that the copies last longer in your bands library. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1019370 Composed by Kevin Longley. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. Kevin Longley #6532899. Published by Kevin Longley (A0.1019370). Bring His LoveInspiration (below is a note I sent to my sister) Hi Karen! In the fall of last year I started working on a new church anthem for FUMC. Over the years your choir has sung several pieces of mine; so I felt I should do something in return. I quickly got an idea for the music only (sometimes I will get some lyric ideas also, but didn't this time.) By the first of the year I had the basic structure sketched out on paper but then put it aside for Easter Rehearsals. When the pandemic stopped all church choirs I returned to the music and by early May had the score in the computer, close to completion. At that point I still didn't have any lyrics but began feeling that it should be about God's creation. All I could envision was a singer with his arms stretched out to the sun, the ocean, the moon, etc. while singing this piece. So I started searching for a possible prayer that might fit and came upon Canticle of the Son. As I read it through I liked the structure and began sketching out the lyrics. I couldn't help but wonder what our response should be to God's creation. How should we thank him or praise him or take care of it? I then turned my thoughts to FUMC and considered this - what phrase would sum up this churches mission? I almost immediately got Bring His Love. From there the balance of the lyrics fell into place. So attached is the recording and the music. I have no expectations but hope you and the choir enjoy the music. The Music The piece starts with 16th note broken chords in the upper register of the piano which lead to the opening theme. A tenor soloist begins by singing God's praises for all he has given us; ending with the thought How can we thank such kindness?; The answer Bring His Love the B section. At its conclusion we are returned to the opening theme, this time sung by the choir which again leads us to the same questionHow can we thank such kindness?, The answer Bring His Love the B section. A C section is then introduced with a change to a more beat driven accompaniment with the vocals alternating between the upper and lower voices. A return to the opening theme, with minimal chordal accompaniment, features the original soloist but then adds a second voice leading to a duet and a return to the broken chord accompaniment.. Finally the B section,Bring His Love is repeated and concludes in a rousing fashion.. Program Notes The piece could work very well for Earth Day celebrations.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1327476 By Cheryl Prazak. By Lyrics: Cheryl Prazak and Music by Jon Burr. Arranged by Jon Burr. Contemporary,Country. Score. 15 pages. Cheryl Prazak #915493. Published by Cheryl Prazak (A0.1327476). If Only In My Dreams is a song of longing for a far away spouse sung by soldier stationed far away.Music, arranging and production by Jon BurrThe Lyrics:The moon shines bright, drifting through the pines tonight, The meadow lies blanketed with dew,Stars take their flight, chasing ‘way the lingering night, And I lie here dreaming, dear, of you.Lonely the nights, when I long to hold you tight, In my dreams, I linger and pretend.Ev’ning draws nigh, pensive fantasies take flight,My eyes close, dreamy visions descend.  Nights are cold and lonely; I’m so in love with you.Wrapped up in your arms, I surrender to your charms, If only in my dreams, can I hold you.Mournful day long, I am trying to stay strong.I can only sit here, dear, and dream.  Please play our song, you remember our love song,And together we will dream our dream. The moon gives way, breaking forth another day,And the last star’s twinkle has fade.I see your face, with the dawn of each new day, Morn breaks through, and I’m dreaming again.  Candles in the window, yellow ribbons on the door,When I see the glow and the ribbons I will knowThere you are, I will leave your arms no more.Every day will be a dream, dear, when I am there with you.Although we’re far apart, you linger in my heart, love of my life, my wonderful, amazing wife; my wonderful military wife.

Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576757). The melodies in this work are based on my unpublished 1979 setting of The expotition to the North Pole from A A Milne's book Now we are six in the Winnie the Pooh series (under the title The Poohratorio). Clearly the Poohratorio itself cannot yet be published due to copyright on the text, but the melodies that it inspired have led to various pieces including a Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis (Canticula Ursae Minoris) and various sextets (Songs of a little Bear) including this flute sextet/flute choir. As suggested in the score, the ideal positioning would be to have all flutes in choir 1 on one side of the stage and all flutes in choir 2 on the other side (ie antiphonally). The pdf file contains score and parts and also includes an optional piccolo part to take the place of flute 1. The sound sample is an electronic preview.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.723171 Composed by Hewitt, James. Arranged by Jacklich, Joel. Holiday,Patriotic,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 26 pages. Joel Jacklich #6222869. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723171). In 1817, James Hewitt set Francis Scott Key's poem The Defence of Fort M'Henry (which we now better know as The Star Spangled Banner).  Hewitt's original song gained some local popularity; however, throughout most of the country, people began singing the poet's words to a popular drinking song then known to many Americans, English composer John Stafford Smith's To Anacreon in Heaven (originally written for a popular gentleman's club of amateur musicians in London, the Anacreontic Society).  Whereas John Stafford Smith's music was borrowed for the poem, Hewitt's music was especially composed for the poem.  I was asked by Mitch Sturman, the band director of the Wilson Junior High School Warrior Band in El Centro, California, to arrange the original piano music for his band to play at his annual spring Concert of Premieres where he presented new works he had commissioned for his band from well-known band composers, and arrangements of neglected works he felt were worthy of performance.  This was one of those neglected worthy pieces by an American composer for an American poem.  It is orchestrated for flute, oboe, clarinets 1-3, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, bassoon, French horn, trumpets 1-2, baritone horn, trombone, tuba, timpani, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, and glockenspiel. .

Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1285513 Composed by Arcangelo Corelli. Arranged by Kamada, Mikio. Baroque. 6 pages. ACORDO Sheet Music #876618. Published by ACORDO Sheet Music (A0.1285513). Corelli's Op. 5 consists of 12 sonatas for violin and basso continuo. Sonata, Op.5, No.10 has five movements: I. Preludio, II. Allemanda, III. Sarabanda, IV. Gavotta, V. Giga. The fourth movement (IV) is especially well-known.Basso continuo is usually played by harpsichord and cello. However, Lumiere Duo has released a beautiful CD recording of Op. 5, No. 7, performed as a duet for violin and cello. The sheet music we're sharing here is arranged for duets of Op. 5, No. 10, for violin and viola.Viola is tuned one octave above the cello. As a result, the viola can't faithfully replicate the cello part from the original. There are notes that are too low for the viola's range. In the arrangement for violin and viola, we strive to stay true to the original notes. If the notes aren't in the viola's range, we raise them by one octave. However, following this rule too strictly can lead to unnatural sequences. In such cases, even when the note is within the viola's range, we use a note one octave higher to maintain naturalness. While there's no rigid rule for this treatment, we're trying to imagine what Corelli might do if he were arranging for violin and viola. Additionally, in the third and fourth movements, we've swapped the solo part and basso continuo part in the repeating sections. Shifting the melody to the viola brings a fresh sound. In the audio samples below, we've used a flute sound for the violin part and a clarinet sound for the viola part. This should help you better understand how the swapping works.
