Brass Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522189 Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 129 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #6403993. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522189). These arrangements of favorite Christmas carols are sure to brighten up your next Christmas event. The publication consists of full scores for each hymn plus separate instrumental parts and an optional simplified keyboard part. All the arrangements are in four parts, reflecting the traditional SATB voicing. The parts include 1st trumpet in B flat; 2nd trumpet in B flat; horn in F; horn in E flat; trombone and optional tuba; optional bass in B flat and bass in E flat. There are also two optional baritone parts in B flat (TC) and C (BC) in case you need them. They are the same as the tenor part. In some carols, you might prefer to assign any baritones to doubling the bass or doubling the melody an octave lower. The baritone part in C is also playable by trombone. The trombone and tuba parts appear on a single staff. Of course, you can use any number of instruments to a particular part. The optional keyboard part has been simplified and whenever possible limited to single notes in the left hand part and no more than two-note chords in the right. Using the keyboard part, you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. The scores and all the parts are contained in a single 129-page PDF file.Because the music has been set in brass-friendly keys, the arrangements are not necessarily with other Colin Kirkpatrick arrangements published by Glyn Joseph Editions. This collection includes the following favorite carols: Angels We Have Heard On High (Gloria); Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming (Es ist ein Ros entsprungen); O Come, O Come Emmanuel (Veni Emmanuel); The First Noel; Ding Dong! Merrily on High (Bransle de l’Officiel); O Come All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fidelis); Hark! The Herald Angels Sing (Mendelssohn); Go Tell It on the Mountain; O Little Town of Bethlehem (St. Louis); O Holy Night (Cantique de Noël); Silent Night (Stille Nacht); Away in a Manger (Mueller); Joy to the World (Antioch); O Christmas Tree (Tannenbaum); We Three Kings (Kings of Orient); I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day (Waltham); What Child is This? (Greensleeves); God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen; Good King Wenceslas (Tempus Adest Floridum) and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The audio downloads code is given in the publication.Groove Zones Christmas! (like the other titles in the Groove Zones series) are designed to grow with you as you explore from street (around grade 2-4) to town (around grade 3-5) and finally to the city (grade 5/6+) and embraces a more commercial saxophone sound that will be highly appealing and a great motivator for personal practice. The five pieces in the book (Jingle Bingle Bells, Carol from Sussex, In Dulci Jubilo, We Three Kings of Old London, and Deck the (Terry) Halls) each appear in the three difficulty levels (so really there are fifteen pieces in the book) and have been carefully notated/articulated to provide that authentic commercial sound (in many styles from Big Band, Metal/Rock, Jazz Waltz, Blues, and even Ska - think of the band Madness or The Specials and you're on the right wavelength!). Jingle Bingle Bells begins as a luscious ballad in a style inspired by some of our popular Crooners like Michael Buble (with regards to the other Crooner, the clue is in the title!) but soon launches into a joyous upbeat big band swing before finally returning from whence it came. You can almost see and smell the gently falling snow! The three versions are included: Jingle Bingle Bells (Street) - around grade 2-4, Jingle Bingle Bells (Town) - around grade 3-5, and Jingle Bingle Bells (City) - grade 5/6+Carol from Sussex is a Metal/Rock twisted arrangement of the original (Sussex Carol) and features the vocal talents of Mr Nick McCarthy with his fun interjections! This arrangement really romps along, though the Street edition is cleverly arranged to make the tune basically half the speed for lesser experienced players. Conjure up an idea of the mysterious Carol from Sussex as you enjoy this festive showpiece! The three versions are included: Carol from Sussex (Street) - around grade 2-4, Carol from Sussex (Town) - around grade 3-5, and Carol from Sussex (City) - grade 5/6+In Dulci Jubilo is a sweet and laid back number arranged in a Jazz Waltz style with oodles of space to soar on notes. Enjoy the little musical quotes at the end (how may Carols can you pick out?). The three versions are included: In Dulci Jubilo (Street) - around grade 2-4, In Dulci Jubilo (Town) - around grade 3-5, and In Dulci Jubilo (City) - grade 5/6+We Three Kings of Old London is a darker Cityscape in a Blues/alternative style. Full of sound effects such as the rumblings of the underground and an echoey sax down a deserted street (and do we hear Father Christmas somewhere in the distance?!) there are some really sleazy play offs between the sax and the guitar at the start and end (inspired perhaps 'Lily was Here' - Candy Dulfer and Dave Stewart). A really satisfying play! The three versions are included: We Three Kings of Old London (Street) - around grade 2-3, We Three Kings of Old London (Town) - around grade 3-5, and We Three Kings of Old London (City) - grade 5/6+

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1402823 Composed by Daniel Alomia Robles, Jorge Milchberg, and Paul Simon. Arranged by Alan Frazer (arranger) & Peet du Toit (orchestrator). Folk. 10 pages. Peet du Toit #986049. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1402823). This song started out as an Andean folk melody that Paul Simon came across in 1969 when he played a week-long engagement at a theater in Paris along with the South American group Los Incas, who played an instrumental version of the song called Paso Del Condor. Said Simon: I used to hang around every night to hear them play that. I loved it and I would play it all the time, and then I thought, Let's put words to it.The Peruvian songwriter Daniel Robles recorded this song in 1913, and copyrighted it in the United States in 1933 during his travels in America. When Simon recorded it with his added lyrics, he thought it was a traditional song, as that's what Los Incas told him. When Robles' son filed a lawsuit, Simon had to give Robles a composer credit on the song, with his estate getting those royalties. In discussing the song, Simon always talks about it as being based on a traditional Peruvian song, and we've never heard him mention Robles. This wasn't the first time Simon got tangled over songwriting credits on traditional melodies: Simon & Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair / Canticle was based on a folk song, but his arrangement came from a singer named Martin Carthy. Simon was always clear on his influences, but legal misunderstandings were a problem in these cases.Los Incas, who were the group that introduced Simon to the song, provided the instrumentation when they recorded it in Paris with Simon. Their leader, Jorge Milchberg, played a charango, which is an Andean string instrument made from the shell of an armadillo. Simon played acoustic guitar, and other members of Los Incas played flutes and percussion. When Simon brought the track to America, he added his lyrics. This was one of the easier songs to record for the Bridge Over Troubled Water album, since the backing track was already mixed together - it was just a matter of adding the vocals. The title translates to English as The Condor Passes. The lyrics Robles wrote to the song in 1913 are about returning home to his native Peru.Los Incas leader Jorge Milchberg got a composer credit on this song along with Simon and Robles. Milchberg later became the head of the group Urubamba and remained friends with Simon, who toured with them and produced their first American album. >>The Wainwright Sisters covered this for their 2015 Songs in the Dark album. Lucy Wainwright Roche explained to The Sun: I chose 'El Condor Pasa' because it was one of the first songs I ever learned to play on it guitar and it has a childlike quality to it, but it also has a darkness and sadness that fit in well with the album.Paul Simon performed this on both Sesame Street (in 1977) and The Muppet Show (in 1980).

Lyrics No, no, no, no, no! Can't hide it anymore, She's happy but I'm hurt, I want to be her joy; She said I'm so annoy'ng, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! She has no hope in me making it big, She saw no future in me becoming rich, She chose luxury over me; Baby I'm so sorry! She saw no happiness with me so soon, She chose money over me Because I was broke; We ate together, We laughed together; We loved each other: She said she love me I am everything to her, She said I meant the world and the life in her, But she chose luxury over me, Baby I'm so sorry! Luxury so sweet; the life she feels I cannot give, She chose money over me Because I was broke; I was out in the colds Just to gist with you, I know my failures Made me look senseless And my path rejections Made me look worthless; I buried my labour just to make you so happy And sweet smile on your face gave me joy and hope on my dreams I will never forget you, I will always remember, For the memory of you Had consumed my thoughts, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! I thought I was the one for you all this while, I hope your luxury will love and care for you More than the way I would love and care for you, Because I thought my little love was just enough She chose money over me Because I was broke; No, no, no, no, no! Can't hide it any more, She's happy but I'm hurt, I want to be her joy; She said I'm so annoy'ng, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! My dreams of promises to her is gone with her For it never became a reality, I told her to never leave me. She said I'm giving her tough times. I called her my Belov'd the one in whom I am well pleased, I told her it will be all right for one day we Will make it to the top of the World together, But she never believed me Because I was broke; She started feeling bored for texting and chatting with me; She started laying False accusations against me; I denied pleasure and Distance just to be with her And made her so happy But she could not do same for me, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! She suspects me for what I do not know, I had to let it go For her to be happy Because that's what she wants! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! It's hard to say the word Because I was broke; Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry!

String Quartet String Quartet - Digital Download SKU: A0.529234 Composed by John Henry, James Murray. Arranged by Lorento Golofeev. Christmas. Score and parts. 20 pages. Lorento Golofeev #4985953. Published by Lorento Golofeev (A0.529234). The first carol in the medley is We Three Kings of Orient Are, written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857. It is followed by Away In a Manger. There are 2 music settings for the text; the one used in the medley is by James Murray (1887). The last piece, Go Tell It on the Mountain, is an African-American spiritual, and is considered a Christmas carol because of the lyrics celebrating the birth of Jesus. The song was compiled by John Wesley Work Jr. around 1865. The medley is designed to be played as one piece with transitions between the carols. However, I also introduced alternate endings so every carol can be played as a stand alone piece if desired. The running time of this medley is around 5 min 20 sec. All of my arrangements include bowings, dynamics and precise articulation for easier sight-reading. Many more arrangements, both pop and classical, are available for purchase. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1143904 Composed by Igor Korneitchouk. 20th Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Religious. Octavo. 37 pages. Studio at the Post #744209. Published by Studio at the Post (A0.1143904). Duration: 16 minutes, 33 pp. Description: Exodus is a great story that belongs to everyone. Not only is it central to Judaism, not only is it integral to the Christian Bible, it is an immortal story that has been, and continues to be, an inspiration to oppressed peoples everywhere on this planet. It is relevant not just as ancient scripture but as living text, to be rediscovered by each new generation of an ever-widening Family of Man. The theme of struggle against oppression and slavery was just as relevant to the early Christians persecuted in Ancient Rome as it was relevant to the American Civil Rights movement of the 1960's, just as relevant to the Soviet Jews wishing to emigrate as it is to the South African Blacks resisting Apartheid. From the Dark Ages and the Spanish Inquisition, to Ghandi's emancipation of India, to the Holocaust, to, full-circle, the ongoing struggles in Palestine today, the story of Exodus is a guiding light in a dim and often grim world. According to the composer: The Story of a Leader is a collection of ‘re-chorales’ I created one summer when I was totally immersed in a post-educational obsession with the 371 Chorales by Johann Sebastian Bach. We used to study these to learn the rules of harmony and voice-leading (no parallel fifths, avoid crossed voices, etc.) at the Cleveland Institute of Music where I began my compositional career. That summer, now a professor of music in my own right, I discovered many broken and bent rules by the master himself and, along with the glory of being able to work through these Chorales myself at the piano, I felt an incredible feeling of liberation and possibilities unmediated by instructors of music theory. I began by stripping away all that Bach wrote, leaving only the hymn tunes which were not his to begin with. These tunes existed long before Bach used them for his tonal experiments, some attributed to Martin Luther, or someone else, others simply listed as ‘anonymous’. The same is true for the texts, which were then translated into English mostly in the 19th century (the provenance of each can be found herein on the first page of each of my reharmonizations). In some cases I modified the text to fit the context. I selected 12 of these ‘re-chorales,’ linking them together based on their texts in a kind of logic that worked for me, and created a narrative that told The Story of a Leader (Moses). This story is highlighted in the music with such techniques as cross-modal harmonies, points of imitation, a beer drinking song in one instance, and in another, to symbolize the parting of the seas for Moses’ people, an inversion of the soprano line in the bass..

Small Ensemble Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.978194 Composed by Jason A. Heald. Contemporary. Score. 16 pages. Call of the Wild Publishing #6265333. Published by Call of the Wild Publishing (A0.978194). THREE LABE SONNETS for mezzo-soprano and piano is a collection of settings by Louise Labé, (1520-1566), a female French Renaissance poet. Labé was fluent in Latin and Italian, and a trained musician. She wrote twenty-four sonnets.  TRANSLATION Sonnet VIII - I Live, I Die I live, I die, I burn with fire, I drown. It matters very little what I feel; All life is now too real, now too surreal; Joy comes and endless boredom weighs me down, And suddenly I laugh and then I cry; With grief and bliss I’m weeping for the past; Good feelings go away and yet they last, And suddenly I bleed and then I sigh. That’s how it goes. Strange, ever changing love Has worn me out. I wish I were removed From such a star-crossed fate! I need a truce With Lady Luck. Again and yet again, Her wheel is spinning madly to produce This wanton, wild, intense, exquisite pain.     Sonnet XVIII - O Kiss Me O kiss me, kiss me, re-kiss me, and kiss! Be reckless, impudent, hot-headed, bold! O woo me! Pursue me! Kiss me like this: And I’ll give back fifty as hot as red coals. There, is it hurting? Come, let’s soothe the pain. I’ll give you sixty others just like these. And so we’ll kiss again and then again, While we enjoy each other at our ease. I know there’s fire within your unshaped clay, And so, allow me, love, to share my happiness: O let’s make burning passion rule today. I’m fond of doing what I love to do, Yet cannot feel supreme delight unless I have my other wild encounters, too.     Sonnet XIV - As Long As Tears As long as tears can well up in my eyes I’m saddened that our nights are marked by pain. And now my voice expresses once again A plaintive melody I’ve improvised. As long as I can pluck the lute, I try To sing about your charms in my refrain. As long as I can think, my fevered brain Is burning with an ardent zeal. I cry And cry a hundred thousand times for you. But when I feel my whirling thoughts grow still, And when both hand and voice won’t work their will, Because your treachery is piercing through My heart, I’ll know there’s just one final way. I’ll ask for Death to darken that bleak day.

Published by David Kai (A0.1105037). This song is a reflection on Psalm 46. Like many Psalms, it contains elements of questioning, challenge and finally, faith. It is written in a Contemporary Christian/Christian Rock style. BE STILL AND KNOW (Psalm 46) BE STILL AND KNOW Chorus: Be still and know that I am God, Be still and know that I am God Be still and know that I am, Be still and know that I am God You are the Word beyond all words, a holy mystery, A presence in the universe that I can’t touch or see, A force in space and time with no beginning and no end, A spark of inspiration that I cannot comprehend. In a world that’s so embraced by pain how can Your love be shown? In life that’s short and fleeting, can eternity be known? My questions have no answers for I’ve painted You too small, So I will cease my babbling and worship You in awe. Be still and know that I am God, Be still and know that I am God Be still and know that I am, Be still and know that I am God Our God’s a refuge and our strength, and so we will not fear, Though mountains shake and waters roar our God is always near, God makes the wars to cease and breaks the bow, the shield, the spear, Behold the works of God whose reign of peace will dry all tears. You are the glints of sunlight through the amber-dappled leaves, You are the hints of silence in the vows that lovers breathe, You are the one who awes me with the love that we receive, You are my first and dying breath, in You I will believe. Be still and know that I am God...
