Instrumental Duet Bass Guitar,Double Bass,Instrumental Duet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.917924 By The Weeknd. By Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, Abel Tesfaye, Ahmad Balshe, Jason Matthew Quenneville, Jason Quenneville, Martin Karl Sandberg, Martin Max, Max Martin, Oscar Holter, and Oscar Thomas Holter. Arranged by Zulhilmy Zulkifli. Pop,R & B. Score and parts. 10 pages. ZZ Music Solutions #6424849. Published by ZZ Music Solutions (A0.917924). Save Your Tears is a song by Canadian singer, Abel Tesfaye, better known with his stage name, The Weeknd. The song was released in his fourth album, After Hours (2020), and released as the final single on August 19, 2020. The Weeknd wrote this song with Ahmad Balshe, Jason Quenneville, Oscar Holter, and Max Martin. This transcription is based on the 11th track of the album and arranged to be played on a 4-string bass with standard tuning. The track credited three songwriters, Tesfaye, Holter, and Martin as the bass performer/programmer in the album. During my research, I found few live performances of this song on YouTube, performed by Ledaris Jones on his 4-string Fender Jazz bass with a pick. This song is in the key of C major and about 3’35 long. The tempo is at 118 bpm. The song features the reminiscent of 80’s pop music, and the basslines supported the style keeping the root note on every quaver/8th note alongside the repetitive disco drum pattern. This score is perfect for a beginner who would like to learn to play with a pick. This transcription includes 3 parts: 1)both notation and TAB (3 pages) 2)notation-only (2 pages); 3)TAB-only (2 pages). I made these options available for any bassist with different preferences. I know we are unique, as I am a bassist as well This transcription includes 3 parts: 1)both notation and TAB (3 pages) 2)notation-only (2 pages); 3)TAB-only (2 pages). String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942953 Composed by Geoffrey Peterson. Contemporary. Score and parts. 43 pages. Geoffrey Peterson #4267231. Published by Geoffrey Peterson (A0.942953). Link to complete recording: https://soundcloud.com/geoffrey-peterson/sets/the-edmund-fitzgerald-concerto On November 9th, 1975, the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald left port in Superior, Wisconsin. The 729-foot-long iron ore carrier, loaded with 26 thousand tons of taconite pellets for the auto industry, was bound for Detroit. Earlier that day, the weather service had issued a gale warning. This was not unusual, considering that gale storms are typical during November on Lake Superior. The Fitzgerald’s Captain, Ernest McSorley, and her 29-member crew headed northeast unaware of the maelstrom they would soon encounter. At around 2 a.m., Bernie Cooper, captain of the Arthur M. Andersen, another freighter which was following a few miles behind the Fitzgerald, radioed Captain McSorley to consult with him about the worsening storm. They had both decided to take a more northerly route along the Canadian shore, which they hoped would provide some shelter from the violent gale winds and waves. The Fitzgerald’s long-range radar stopped working the following day and was needed in order to avoid Six-Fathom Shoal, a shallow area of Lake Superior that could rupture the ship’s hull. McSorley soon radioed the Anderson to report that the Fitzgerald had sustained some topside damage...a fence rail down, two vents lost or damaged, and a starboard list. A list meant that the Fitzgerald was taking on too much water and was causing it to lean to one side. The short-range radar also stopped working, and the radio direction beacon from nearby Whitefish Point vanished. This would make it impossible for the Fitzgerald to reach the lee waters of Whitefish Bay and escape the 80 mph winds churning 20 to 30-foot waves. At 7:10 p.m. that night, First Mate Morgan Clark of the Andersen radioed the Fitzgerald to see how they were doing. Captain McSorley replied, We’re holding our own. This was the last contact anyone would have with the Fitzgerald. Shortly thereafter, the Edmund Fitzgerald disappeared from the Anderson’s radar screen. All 29 of her crew were lost on November 10th, 1975. The Edmund Fitzgerald chronicles the tragic final voyage of the well-known shipwreck in 4 movements; Embarkment, The Gales, Six-Fathom Shoal (We’re holding our own.) and Entombment-Dirge. The concerto makes use of several musical quotes. The first is Spanish Ladies, an English sea chantey, which appears in both the 1st and 3rd movements. The second is the funeral march theme from the 2nd movement of Beethoven’s 3rd Symphony which is heard in the 4th movement of the concerto. In addition, a chime is rung 29 times during the final bars of the concerto to memorialize the men who lost their lives. The Crew of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald: Michael E. Armagost, Frederick J. Beetcher, Thomas D. Bentsen, Edward F. Bindon, Thomas D. Borgeson, Oliver J. Champeau, Nolan S. Church, Ransom E. Cundy, Thomas E. Edwards, Russell G. Haskell, George J. Holl, Bruce L. Hudson, Allen G. Kalmon, Gordon F. MacLellan, Joseph W. Mazes, John H. McCarthy, Ernest M. McSorley, Eugene W. O'Brien, Karl A. Peckol, John J. Poviach, James A. Pratt, Robert C. Rafferty, Paul M. Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.894425 Composed by Henry Carey. Arranged by Zack Richards. Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic. Score and parts. 20 pages. Zack Richards #6427357. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894425). America (My Country, 'Tis of Thee) uses lyrics written by Samuel Francis Smith to the tune of the United Kingdom's national anthem, God Save the Queen. It was once the de facto national anthem of the U.S.A. before The Star-Spangled Banner was adopted. This arrangement adds to the fanfare and gallantry of the tune with many flourishes and ornaments. The second verse features a Charles Ives-like variation with a rhythmically augmented melody soaring over a three-part canon below. Choral Choir (2-Part) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1099392 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Children,Classical,Instructional. Octavo. 9 pages. Sally Whitwell #703279. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.1099392). Do you want to build a rocket? was originally composed for a wonderful group of children I worked with at the Young Music Society Winter School in Canberra. The first day that I went in to meet them, I sat down with them on the floor and asked them what kind of performance they wanted to build. It was around the time that the Disney animated feature Frozen was very popular with kids. Or not, as it turns out, because one little boy’s hand shot up straight away and he said: “Tell you what I don’t wanna build: a stupid snowman!†He suggested we build a rocket instead. So that’s what we did. It’s a song about the wonder and curiosity we feel about the universe, of our desire to explore it, and of the determination and grit required to achieve that dream. It’s some very hard yards to build a rocket and to learn to fly it, but our dreams are always worth the work! I hope you have fun with this song. Teachers, I invite you to get as theatrical as you dare with it. In our original performance we had all these toy instruments, toy toolkits, and painted cardboard boxes. (So many boxes!). Let’s just say, if you think it’s gonna be ‘too much’, it’s probably exactly the right amount. Sally Whitwell August 2022.

String Quintet Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1317853 Composed by Patrick Prejean. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical. 215 pages. Patrick Prejean #906523. Published by Patrick Prejean (A0.1317853). These dances where written at the request of the executive director of CityMusic Cleveland. They are based and inspired by North and Sub-Saharan African Dances in addition to a reimagining of fairy tales. There are 8 movements making this the biggest project I've ever composed. This quintet may also be performed as a String Orchestra ensemble. I - There is a story about a man named Alexander Dynis (Deniz) who is believed to have ended up in Ruthenia (modern day Ukraine) as a PoW when the Ottomans invaded the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Not much is known about his early life but we do know is that eventually afterwards he was granted the position of Starosta (town mayor/landlord) of Kozieglowy (Poland) by the Bishop of Krakow. He is the only Black starosta that we know of to this day. His story is interesting and is the basis of this movement and was inspired by the soundtrack of a game called Hellish Quart. II - This movement is a dance of ritual which emphasizes the different pitch intonations of the human voices hence the dissonant harmonies. Imagine walking through the savannah and hearing these voices but you are unsure of their intentions. This dance is heavy and percussive. III - This movement is of a young woman who is kidnapped by the Vikings and dreams of escaping captivity. IV - There are 3 distinct motives for this movement which combine to create a battle - like scene, those being the 6 quarter note triplets, the rhythmic motive, and the driving 16th notes.  V - I wanted to create the sounding of the natural horns of the Ancient and Classical Eras and to combine them with a retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood. Her journey begins upon hearing these horns and prompted to ride out to begin her quest.VI/VII/VIII - These movements where edited from my Death Waltzes for the Living. There are hidden titles for number 6 and 7: Loss of Mind and Hospital. These waltzes are a reimagining of Cinderella's life but instead of her story playing out as we know it, she suffers a psychotic break and is transported into our world and rushed to the hospital. The final movement concludes the piece with a Dance of Death. I have had many close encounters with permanent oblivion and the result of this is what I call Hitchcock Horror harmonic language. These encounters supplimented with the dreams of the unconscious realm create an uneasy dance that ends almost as abruptly as they begin.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1510395 Composed by Bill Gaither and Gloria Gaither. Arranged by Mikhail Rimsky-Korsakov. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 32 pages. MRK Studio #1085584. Published by MRK Studio (A0.1510395). Because He Lives is a classic song (hymn) penned by one of the most lauded couples in Christian music, Bill and Gloria Gaither. This song explores how the resurrection of Christ transforms the lives of believers.   At this song's 50th anniversary, in honor of this legacy milestone, Gaither Music Group has initiated a yearlong celebration highlighting numerous performances of the song across many different platforms and genres. First released on October 18, 1971, this song was, and is, one of the most popular songs written by the Gospel Music Hall of Fame members.  “People have asked me, ‘Did you know right away that it was going to be a song that was going to be translated in other languages?’” stated Bill. “When you create a new song—and you write as many as we have–you really don’t know. Many times you write one and you think it is going to be the next ‘Amazing Grace,’ and it just dies a natural death. When we wrote ‘Because He Lives’ I felt like it was a good song, but you only find out how good a song is when people start responding to it, and the more we sang it the more people responded. I’m humbled it has been translated into so many languages and did not foresee that.”, he added.Read more here This song was commissioned by a South African Baritone Soloist, Johann Nefdt, to be performed by a Baritone Soloists, 2 Violins, Piano and Pipe Organ.
