Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549836 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Baroque,Concert,Easter,Sacred,Standards. 12 pages. Jmsgu3 #3554469. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549836). Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the voice is calling us) from Cantata BWV 140. Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 6 pages, solo part 1 page, piano part: 4 pages. Program this for church services during the Easter season, weddings, or as a recital encore.Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the Voice is calling us) also known as: Sleepers Awake Bach composed his church cantata Wachet auf (BWV 140) as part of his second annual cantata cycle covering the entire annual church calendar. It is based on the hymn of the same name by Philipp Nicolai (1599). The hymn text covers the readings for the 27th Sunday after Trinity. Bach designed the cantata in seven movements, setting the stanzas in various forms. Among these forms are the chorale fantasia, the chorale prelude, and a four-part chorale. He casts the new lyrics as recitatives – in a manner similar to the opera. Fourth Movement Bach writes the fourth movement, Zion hört die Wächter singen (Zion hears the watchmen singing), in the style of a chorale prelude with the chorale phrases performed as a strict cantus firmus. The phrases seem to enter at times erratically against the famous lyrical melody. The violins play this melody in unison as a foil against the cantus phrases. The violin melody is so independent and complete that when the cantus melody appears it catches the listener at times totally off-guard. Bach later transcribed this movement for organ (BWV 645). This transcription became No. 1 of the Six Schübler Chorales. Bach Overview First of all, Johann Sebastian Bach is maybe the greatest composer in music history. Certainly, he was prolific. As a result, everyone has heard of his works. Furthermore, these works number well over a thousand. It seems like people are probably most familiar with the instrumental works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, and the Goldberg Variations. But, similarly famous are such noteworthy works as the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Musical Offering, and certainly the Art of Fugue. Seems like his most famous vocal works include the most noteworthy Mass in B Minor. Also, most noteworthy, though, are the St. John Passion, and certainly the Christmas Oratorio.  History Bach came from a long line of musicians and above all, composers. Consequently, he, first of all, pursued a career as a church organist. So as a result, he gained employment in various Protestant churches in Germany. For a while, he worked as a court musician in Weimar and Köthen. Here he probably developed his organ style and likewise his chamber music style. Eventually, he, therefore, gained an appointment as Cantor of St. Thomas in Leipzig. Here he worked until difficulties with his employer ultimately drove him away. The King of Poland finally appointed him as court composer.  Style It seems like Bach created a fascinating new international style. He synthesized elements of the most noteworthy European music ideas into his new style. Even more, this new style was probably his synthesis of European musical rhythm and form. Furthermore, he demonstrated a complete mastery of counterpoint and motivic development. His sense of harmonic organization probably propelled him to the top. Revival               Mendelssohn conducted a Bach revival in the nineteenth century. His effort probably helped to re-familiarize the public with the magnitude of Bach’s works. During this period, scholars published many noteworthy Bach biographies. Moreover, Wolfgang Schmieder published the BWV (Bach Werke Verzeichnis). As a result, this is now the official catalog of his entire artistic output. The BWV number allows us to locate a work in the catalog. Sometimes scholars will simply use an S (Schmieder) as an abbreviation for BWV. &n.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.910399 Composed by Roger Evernden. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 2 pages. Roger Brian Evernden #5318847. Published by Roger Brian Evernden (A0.910399). 116 was written for my mum and dad. At the time I was living in Virginia in the USA, and I was expecting mum and dad to come and visit for a holiday. Due to an unexpected illness they didn't make it. I wrote this tune for them on the day I found out that they wouldn't be visiting. It's called 116 because that was the number of our family home - 116 Hillside Avenue, in Southampton in the UK.It's a jolly melody, with some classical runs, followed by a dramatic twist in the second section. The first section has a simple bass line and structure that is fun to improvise over - when I play it the 2nd and 3rd repeats are always a bit different each time.

String Quartet Piano,String Quartet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1183841 Composed by Richard Wagner. Arranged by Langanho. Classical,Opera,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score and parts. 6 pages. Avery Lynn Jordan #783535. Published by Avery Lynn Jordan (A0.1183841). This reduction was made for string quartet and piano, with the intention of being totally practical for musicians of small groups who wish to use it especially at weddings, and not only, can be used for academic or performance purposes, because in it were extracted all the essence of the original work, however, being adapted to be easy to play, serving professional musicians or beginners. The Bridal Chorus by Richard Wagner was composed in 1850 as a prelude to the third act of the opera Lohengrin. It is played when Elsa and Lohengrin enter the bridal chamber to consummate their marriage. The wedding night turns tragic, and Wagner is said to have found it amusing that the piece was used at weddings.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1038764 Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by James Symington. 20th Century,Classical,Film/TV,Patriotic,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 9 pages. James Edward Ernest Symington #643742. Published by James Edward Ernest Symington (A0.1038764). The name of the variation refers to Augustus J. Jaeger, who was employed as music editor by the London publisher Novello & Co. He was a close friend of Elgar's, giving him useful advice but also severe criticism, something Elgar greatly appreciated. Elgar later related how Jaeger had encouraged him as an artist and had stimulated him to continue composing despite setbacks. Nimrod is described in the Old Testament as a mighty hunter before the Lord, Jäger being German for hunter. In 1904 Elgar told Dora Penny (Dorabella) that this variation is not really a portrait, but the story of something that happened. Once, when Elgar had been very depressed and was about to give it all up and write no more music, Jaeger had visited him and encouraged him to continue composing. He referred to Ludwig van Beethoven, who had a lot of worries, but wrote more and more beautiful music. And that is what you must do, Jaeger said, and he sang the theme of the second movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8 Pathétique. Elgar disclosed to Dora that the opening bars of Nimrod were made to suggest that theme. Can't you hear it at the beginning? Only a hint, not a quotation. This variation has become popular in its own right and is sometimes used at British funerals, memorial services, and other solemn occasions. It is always played at the Cenotaph, Whitehall in London at the National Service of Remembrance. A version was also played during the Hong Kong handover ceremony in 1997 and at the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The “Nimrod†variation was the final orchestral composition (before the national anthem) played by the Greek National Orchestra in a televised June 2013 concert, before the 75-year-old Athenian ensemble was dissolved in the wake of severe government cutbacks. An adaptation of the piece appears at the ending of the 2017 film Dunkirk in the score by Hans Zimmer. This arrangement for Brass Quintet has been adapted to suit the instrumentalists. The key has changed and this makes it much more playable and more secure.

Other Arrangements Available: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/fernando-ramos-sheet-music/3016426?isPLP=1 I make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music and, most importantly, that it also makes pianistic sense. Each of my arrangements is made for a specific student, so the results will vary in terms of playing level. Most decisions are based on their current skills and abilities, or where I would like for them to be when they complete the piece. This arrangement was made for a late beginner student who has almost completed Alfred's Masterwork Classics Level 1/2. She has also been working in the Prep Level of the Keith Snell books. Primary IV Class. I wanted to see what would happen if she had to do a left hand accompaniment with less (than usual) blocked or broken chords. To compromise, I gave it a lullaby feel, which worked amazingly well in a recital setting! The main theme recap was especially difficult for her, but she persevered and got it down. It's a beautiful and sweet rendition. Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.

Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033094 Composed by M.E. Speer. Contemporary. Score. 5 pages. Mary Speer #6072753. Published by Mary Speer (A0.1033094). This piece is great for young children beginning adults alike. First, there is an Alberti bass in the left hand for most of the piece; Alberti bass is a patterned bass used by the likes of Mozart, and it is a relatively easy way to allow for the suspension of a chord.  The pedaling for this piece can also teach students how to change the pedal when changing chord harmonies in a fairly simplified pattern that usually lasts a measure.  The dynamic markings are sparse at this point, but guide the student to start paying attention to loud and soft dynamics, and it is a good learning lesson about breaks and pauses in the music at the end of one patterned phrase and beginning of another.  The music itself leaves a lot of room for emotive expression because one can play with a rubato that allows one to stretch some measures to emphasize certain harmonies.  The whole piece sounds as if it were a setting of fairy tale set in the misty mountains complete with wizards, elves, and princesses.  It is perfect for an ambient and poetic mood of a player who would like to learn a relatively simple piece.  To practice this piece, try perfecting each section before going on to the next.

Small Ensemble Cello,Flute,Soprano Recorder,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.900405 Composed by Gustavo Fuentes. Arranged by Gustavo Fuentes. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,New Age,World. Score and parts. 3 pages. Gustavo Fuentes #3637525. Published by Gustavo Fuentes (A0.900405). Diamond in the Rough. Celtic music song composed by Gustavo Fuentes, arranged for two voices. Two melody instruments, such as tin whistle, low whistle, flute, recorder, piano or violin, with chords for piano or guitar. The audio is from to the Gustavo Fuentes CD Almas en vuelo that you can listen to on Spotify. The most important symbol of Celtic art is the triskelion. It is made up of three curved legs representing the past, the present and the future. It can also symbolize the balance between mind, body and spirit; the beginning and the end; or constant learning versus eternal evolution.Life is a timeline. Memories from the past can sometimes evoke pleasant images and beautiful experiences in our minds, but they can also fill us with sadness and nostalgia. Thinking of the future can give us hope, but it can also awaken anxiety. The only time when we can truly be, make decisions, and effect change is the present. Today is a gift, a diamond in the rough that we can cut and polish to our liking. Quoting the wise words of Irish author Oscar Wilde in The Picture of Dorian Grey: Life is a moment. There is no hereafter. So make it burn always with the hardest flame.

B-Flat Trumpet,Bass Guitar,Drum Set,Electric Guitar,String Synthesizer,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1267220 By Donna Summer. By Donna Summer and Michael Omartian. Arranged by Kathleen McGuire. Disco. 44 pages. Kathleen McGuire #859859. Published by Kathleen McGuire (A0.1267220). SCORE AND SET OF PARTS TO ACCOMPANY THE WOMEN'S CHORAL ARRANGEMENTA Donna Summer hit from post-disco / new wave era (1983), She Works Hard for the Money is more than a fun pop piece. The song tells a story of a hard-working blue-collar woman, based on inspiration Summer found after the 25th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony (23 Feb 1983) when she attended an after-party. She encountered a restroom attendant named Onetta Johnson (whose name is mentioned in the song) whom she found sound asleep - despite a blaring TV - exhausted from working long hours.Summer related the story in an interview: I looked at her and my heart just filled up with compassion for this lady, and I thought to myself: God, she works hard for the money, cooped up in this stinky little room all night. Then I thought about it, and I said, She works hard for the money... She works hard for the money...This is it! This is it! I know this is it! The arrangement opens with an a cappella introduction in full harmony. The melody moves between the altos and sopranos, with each part otherwise providing rhythmic support (echoing the instrumental accompaniment). The sopranos divide into 3 parts occasionally, allowing some high voices (A-flat) to shine. There are no solos in this arrangement - your women all have opportunity to sing this powerful, true story that serves more broadly as an allegory for women's rights and socioeconomic hardship. The arrangement is a show-stopper, bound to get audiences clapping and even up out of their seats! Provided: Conductor's Score and Set of Band Parts: Trumpet in B-flat, Tenor Sax, Synth (Strings), Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drum Set. Provided separately: SSAA Choral Arrangement - Piano Vocal Score.

In 1931 he heard the Russian translation of a German song inspired by Carl Boberg's poem O Store Gud (O Great God). Hine translated the song to English and added verses. The central theme appears in the third verse: And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in. Mr. Hine and his family left Ukraine as famine and World War Two began, settling in Somerset, Britain, where he continued to serve in missionary efforts. And, although several competing translations appeared through the years, this version of the lyric was published in 1949 and quickly spread in popularity. It was first widely used, though after further introduction by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Team in its London Crusade of 1954, as well as in subsequent American meetings.Colossians 1:16Psalm 90:2Psalm 105:2Expressed simply and clearly for beginning pianists, with fingering suggestions for both teacher and player, itâ??s a perfect choice for prelude, brief offertory, recital or other occasions and itâ??s perfect for each of the stanzas from most hymnals.Soâ?¦check out other versions of How Great Thou Art, including EASY PIANO from Studio B ProductionsThanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard!

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.780064 By Billie Eilish. By Billie Eilish O'Connell and Finneas O'Connell. Arranged by Graham Boag. Pop. Score and parts. 18 pages. Graham Boag #6026933. Published by Graham Boag (A0.780064). No Time to Die is a the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond film series produced by Eon Productions. It features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux, and Christoph Waltz reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and Ana de Armas joining the cast.  The theme song is sung by the American singer Billie Eilish. In January 2019, Eilish told her management that she wanted to be involved if any Bond things come up…whatever we have to do we will do. When the opportunity did arise, the pair jumped into action to book a recording studio, but it left them intensely uninspired and suffering from writer's block. Following this lacklustre day in the studio and they ended up writing and recording the song in a tour bus in Texas, after Finneas came up with an initial chord progression; in just three days the song was written and recorded. Prior to this, the siblings had a meeting with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, who sent them the script for the opening scene in order to give them a bit of inspiration, which Eilish said was so cool and really, really helpful.Finneas claimed it was useful to go back to listen to previous Bond themes to ensure they were on the right track and did not copy or recreate something which had already been done before, adding that there are few things in your career that are as desirable as doing a Bond song. We did not take the opportunity lightly and worked as hard as we could to prove ourselves. Eilish also revealed that Daniel Craig himself had a major role in vetting the submissions.ALTERNATIVE PARTS 1, 2, 3 &  4 ARE INCLUDED TO ALLOW FOR FLEXIBILITY DURING COVID-19 REHEARSALS.
