Flute, clarinet & piano - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMS1814 Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score and Parts. 15 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMS1814. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMS1814). 9 x 12 in inches.Western Serenade for Oboe, Clarinet, and Piano was a project that percolated for a few years. I began this piece when I was a student with the intention of sending it to a composition competition. I composed the first 29 measures and then left it to do another project. The sketch sat in a pile for a few years until I came in contact with KarlWentzel. Karl requested a piece for the same instrumentation; a piece perform himself and to have for his students to perform. On getting this request, I dug out that sketch and completed the piece. I think it is a fine example of my progressionfrom a student to a more honed composer.Western Serenade begins with a nice pastoral melody tossed back and forth between the two soloists. The piece then alternates between pastoral and dramatic moods and closes with an exciting and surprising presto coda. This version of Western Serenade was written for flute, clarinet, and piano.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.997923 By Clint Mansell. By Clint Mansell. Arranged by Chelsea Hillerich. Contemporary,Film/TV,Pop. Score. 5 pages. Chelsea Hillerich #603618. Published by Chelsea Hillerich (A0.997923). This arrangement sounds nearly identical to the original but is easier to read and play! With helpful fingerings, trickier passages divided up between the hands, and some guidance for tackling the piece’s syncopated rhythms, this version will get you playing comfortably in record time! I originally created this for one of my students who became frustrated when she realized that the piece was harder to play than it sounded. She test-drove this arrangement and gave it rave reviews. I hope it can help you enjoy playing this beautiful piece, too!

Slide Ride #5288699. Published by Slide Ride (A0.784345). 1 Octave Scale Studies in 15+ keys for 4-part ensembles of like or mixed instruments If this is your first exposure to these scale studies, you are in for a treat! Donuts, if you make a mistake! The initial incarnation of these studies were written for trombone quartet and we would play them in the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir with the challenge that whomever made the first mistake had to buy donuts for the rest of the ensemble. Since then I have brought that version to several clinics and warm up sessions. One time before I got to explain the title, a fellow trombone professor said, Oh, I get it! Don’t step in the holes!I only wish I had thought of that myself... Since we have one of the best donut shops in TN here in Cookeville, treating the studio to sugar coated goodies was always my intent. As with those initial exercises, you can vary these as much as you’d like.·     Choose a tempo.·     Choose a dynamic.·     Choose an articulation/style.One way I like to play these is to have one person be the model, playing the entire scale over and over while everyone else plays the fragmented versions. That helps everyone to keep on track and stay in time. Double or triple up the parts for ensemble cohesion with a larger group.Practice one key, gradually speeding it up to improve fluidity, or choose a variation and take it through all keys, playing version A, B, C, or D then skipping to play the same set in a new key.If you want an additional challenge, play them in different octaves or change the key. Play the F Major set in f minor (all forms), different modes, etc. Players really have to be on their toes to remember if they are playing melodic minor in the ascending or descending form! For jazz players, try swinging them in dorian or mixolydian modes. The variations are endless! If you are using these with transposing instruments, 1) is F Major in Concert Pitch, 2) is Bb Major in Concert pitch, and so on. When you reach a scale that is enharmonic for another key (Db/C#, Gb/F#, or Cb/B), they are presented in both keys for each instrument so Trumpets can play in Eb while the Flutes are playing in C# with similar examples for all keys. All Donut Etudes with the same volume number are compatible so you can play them in mixed quartets or large ensembles with one or more instruments/people on part 1 and a different instrument on part 2, etc. Since the quartets are all identical, conductors/coaches can use any of the scores to tell which part should be playing at what time. Once you have played a scale with one set of parts, everyone can rotate to a different part and play the same scales again!Enjoy!

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1097951 By Heather Pierson. By Heather Pierson. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 6 pages. Sacred Vessel Recordings (ASCAP) #700871. Published by Sacred Vessel Recordings (ASCAP) (A0.1097951). Marble In My Pocket is a 6 page advanced intermediate level piece in the key of D flat major. It is from my album 'The Open Road', a collection of 14 of my solo piano compositions. This piece is a joining of two separate ideas that were created back in the early 2000s when I was frequently collaborating with my friend, percussionist Alfred Lund. It was Alfred who suggested this title, and, like the idea behind the piece itself, I’ve carried it ever since. Other pieces available in this collection are: Bittersweet, Doc Bradley’s Waltz, Edith, Flight of Fancy, Jasper County, Late October, Lullaby, The Open Road, Prairie Sunset, Skipping Rocks at Shoal Creek, The Storm’s Promise, Sunflowers, and Wheat.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1198505 By Jvke. By Jake Lawson and Zachary Lawson. Arranged by Large Print Sheet Music. Contemporary,Film/TV,New Age,Pop,Rock. Score. 20 pages. Large Print Sheet Music #797645. Published by Large Print Sheet Music (A0.1198505). This is a LARGE PRINT EDITION of JVKE's GOLDEN HOUR transcribed in the key of C for easier playing/reading for the piano.  It is slightly simplified, and most likely suited for an intermediate pianist to early advanced pianist.  Most pianists find this piece easier to read and play in the key of C, rather than the original key of E, which has 4 sharps in the key signature.  Because the notes have all been enlarged for easier reading, this arrangement is long.  It is 20 pages long due to the enlarged printing of the notes.  This LARGE PRINT FORMAT assists low vision musicians and beginner pianists, or anyone who simply finds music easier to read when the notes are bigger. This is a lovely song by JVKE - and would be a beautiful addition to any repertoire.  It is an impressive piano recital piece!

Regis Bookshar #850714. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1257381). Three selections based on Christ lag in Todesbanden (Christ lay in death's bonds) (from Cantata No.   4, BMV   4) - Johann Sebastian Bach - String Quintet (3 Violins, 2 Violoncellos) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download.Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, Christ lag in Todesbanden (also spelled Todes Banden) (Christ lay in death's bonds) is a cantata for Easter written by Johann Sebastian Bach and is his earliest surviving Church Cantata. It was probably written in 1707 when he was 22 years old. It is a Chorale Cantata, a style in which both the text and music are based on a hymn. In this instance, the source was Martin Luther's hymn of the same name which became a main Easter hymn in German Lutheranism.Regis Bookshar has transcribed and arranged three selections based on this hymn, two from Bach's Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, and also his Chorale Prelude, BMV 625. They may be played individually or as a trilogy and each movement gets more complex than the previous one. The first selection in this trilogy is the Chorale, Christ lag in Todesbanden, the final chorus from his Cantata No.   4, a straightforward four-part chorale setting of the hymn (Regis has also added a fifth part). This is followed by Bach's Chorale Prelude, BMV 625, a piece from his Orgelbuchlein (Little Organ Book), a collection of 46 Preludes for organ, written almost exclusively during the 1708-1717 period, while Bach was court organist at Weimar. For the final selection, Regis has placed the polyphonic and imitative chorus, Es war ein wunderlicher Krieg, da Tod und Leben rungen) (It was a strange battle, that death and life waged), which Bach had placed in the middle of his Cantata No.   4.This arrangement is for a String Quintet, consisting of 3 Violins and 2 Violoncellos. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (30 pages).I hope you will enjoy playing these selections and please search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar. Although it is often associated with the Catholic prayer, Schubert's music is actually an adaptation of a work by Walter Scott, a Scottish poet. Schubert composed the melody as part of his piece Ellens Gesang III (Ellen's Song III), which is a series of songs based on Scott's poems.Ave Maria was composed in 1825 and is one of the most popular and beloved pieces in the classical repertoire. The gentle and melancholic melody, combined with the Latin lyrics invoking the Virgin Mary, evokes a sense of serenity and devotion. While it was originally written for voice and piano, the melody has also been adapted for various instruments and choirs.Interestingly, Schubert was unaware that his melody would become widely known as Ave Maria. The original title of the composition is Ellens Gesang III: Hymne an die Jungfrau (Ellen's Song III: Hymn to the Virgin). The fame of Ave Maria came later when different versions of the melody were published and performed with the Latin lyrics.Due to its beauty and emotional appeal, Schubert's Ave Maria has been performed on numerous occasions, from religious ceremonies to concerts and solemn events. The piece continues to move and inspire listeners around the world, highlighting Franz Schubert's genius as a composer.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533667 Composed by Carson Cooman. Contemporary. Score and parts. 54 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3037087. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533667). Pittsburgh Concerto (2005) was written for the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and isdedicated to Amy Stabenow, concert manager at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Music. Thepiece was conceived as a tribute to the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.The work contains only two specific “programmatically inspired†images related toPittsburgh. They form the outer two sections of the work. The inner four sections areinspired more abstractly by various aspects of the city, its landscapes, and its people; theyfeature a series of solos and duets for many members of the orchestra – in the manner of a“concerto for orchestra.â€The opening of the work is inspired by Pittsburgh’s history as America’s steel capital.Colors and sounds of the clangorous industrial age of America’s past are evoked. The basicmusical material (a six-note cell) for the entire work is presented in this aggressiveintroduction. Throughout the rest of the work, this basic material is developed in ways thatrange from lushly romantic to aggressively athletic. The following section is marked “slow, lush†and features a duet first between trumpet andtuba, over warm harmonies in the orchestra. A brief duet for vibraphone and marimba leadsto an extended viola solo. The next section is fast and energetic. It begins with an athletic duet for English horn andbass trombone, followed by a ringing duet of tubular bells and crotales. The final solo is forviolin, as the orchestral texture disintegrates around it.The next section, marked “slow, mysticalâ€, begins with a duet between piano and bassclarinet. A passionate horn duo follows before a passage for solo bass leads directly into thenext section. This section is fragmentary and halting. An unpitched duo of bass drum and flexatonebegins, leading to an aggressive and abortive duet between solo flute and bassoon. Finally,an extended cello solo closes the section. The final part of the work is inspired by my first visit to Pittsburgh. When driving in fromPittsburgh airport (which is far outside the city), the city itself is “hidden†from the road byhills. Upon reaching the hills, one enters the Fort Pitt tunnel and, after a few moments, emerges from it on a suspension bridge over the Monongahela River. Late at night, this wasa truly breathtaking moment as the city and its rivers emerged suddenly in a mass of glitteringlights. The ecstatic rush of the lighted city at night is portrayed in this section – amidstfragments from the opening, recalling the industrial past, now transformed into somethingnew.Instrumentation3 Flutes (3rd dbl. Piano Trio,String Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.511808 Composed by Han-Ki Kim. Classical,Contemporary,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 18 pages. Han-Ki Kim #6437551. Published by Han-Ki Kim (A0.511808). Arirang for Piano Trio Op.154EThis music is based on a string ensemble composed for Italian ensemble I Musici, they asked me to write a music to commemorate their 60th anniversary (2012). The conclusion of the idea that a music to celebrate their founding should be special was to write a music based on our folk song. Since the folk song “Arirangâ€, which contains the soul of our ancestors, is unique to Korea, it has great meaning in celebrating their anniversary with our own, and especially these days, when the desire to find ours is strong, our melody is performed on the world stage. I wanted to give a second meaning to what I left behind. I want both the performer and the audience to feel “musical sympathy†with this “Arirang,†which is an effort to give value as an artistic document to a folk song that is familiar to everyone. Following the short and fast introduction in 3/4 time, it is connected in the form of 5 variations in 6/8 time. Each variation expresses a different musical atmosphere, performance speed, or change in composition. In general, the main melody is mainly played by the first violin, but as far as the main melody is concerned, in this music, high-pitched instruments and low-pitched instruments intersect and cycle in equal positions, not in a melodicline relationship. After the fourth variation, a virtuosic solo of the movement alone is connected, and after the finale with a broad and majestic atmosphere, it ends with a short and lively coda with the same character as the beginning. Attached music is played by String ensemble just for a reference.

It is a nocturnal animal that has adapted well to city life, being quite happy living in the roofs of houses. This piece represents the possum creeping about at night time looking for food. It is inspired by an experience I had with a baby possum one night, when I woke up to the strings on my grand piano being played. The young possum had come down my chimney and was looking for an escape from the rain. It was also fairly unhappy with being placed outside again.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IdXGxFlhCg&feature=youtu.be
