Choral Choir (SAB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.1001589 Composed by Michael A, Joseph. 20th Century,Christmas,Sacred. Octavo. 3 pages. Michael A. Joseph #6302529. Published by Michael A. Joseph (A0.1001589). This is Canon #2, Ring Out Bells of Joyful Christmas,  is one in a collection of Five Easy Canons for the Church Year. All are composed for SAB Choir and all include optional organ/piano part. Each of these Five Canons were composed for my own small church choir in Manchester, New Hampshire. Choir directors, we all have those Sundays when we can have choir members absent due to seasonal illness or schedule conflicts. You will find each one of  them extremely easy to rehearse quickly. As you know, you only need to teach one easy melody to the entire group and you're all set. You will find each tune charming in its own way, depending on the season. There is one general anthem, one for Christmas, on for Lent or Passiontide, one for Easter and one for Pentecost. Each one is suitable for the smallest church choirs from trios, up to to the largest! Collect all five for easy seasonal planning.

Piano Trio,String Ensemble Cello,Piano,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987846 Composed by Robert M. Greenberg. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 69 pages. Robert M. Greenberg #90269. Published by Robert M. Greenberg (A0.987846). Preferred Contact Information: RMonteverdi@comcast.net Performing Rights Organization: BMI Website: robertgreenbergmusic.com Facebook Band Page: facebook.com/RobertGreenbergMusic Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZvxnzZ1oA8 Duration: ca. 18 minutes Year of composition: 2013 Program Note: I. Elegy and Variations II. Song and Dance (Shake, Rattle and Roll) III. Re-Invention (Toccatissima) Aside from being an obvious (if hackneyed) reference to the commissioning ensemble, Trio 180, the title 180 Shift well describes the large-scale dramatic action of the piece: from beginning to end, it traverses an expressive distance of 180 degrees, from elegiac sorrow to hot-footed sizzle. 180 Shift is cast in three movements. Each movement is based on the same thematic material, although that material is transformed continuously across the span of the piece. Movement one, Elegy and Variations consists of a series of a theme, six free variations of the theme and a quiet intermezzo before the sixth and final variation. The movement is melancholy, reflective, and generally subdued in tone. Movement two, entitled Song and Dance (Shake, Rattle, and Roll) sees materials introduced in the Elegy transformed first into a introspective song and finally into a vigorous, gigue-like dance. The three parts of the movement are characterized, respectively, by shakes (tremolos), rattles (in the piano; we’ll know them when we hear them) and rolls (arpeggios). Movement three – Re-Invention (Toccatissima) is fast and virtuosic, a (mostly) two-part invention that sees the basic thematic material re-invented once again. 180 Shift is dedicated, with great affection and respect, to Trio 180: Ann Miller, Nina Flyer, and Sonia Leong.

Large Ensemble Flute,Guitar,Mandolin,Oboe,Piano,Ukulele,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1013008 Composed by Na-Mara. Celtic,Folk,World. Score and parts. 1 pages. Na-Mara #5778603. Published by Na-Mara (A0.1013008). Canberra Bourrée: this tune is one of a number of self-penned folk tunes by the UK based folk duo Na-Mara and is written in the style of a French Bourrée. Written in the key of Dm, Canberra Bourrée can be played on mandolin or on any C clef instrument (violin, ukulele, flute etc), with the guitar chords accompanying the individual player. Performance tips: this is beginner / intermediate level piece and played at a moderate speed. It’s quite nice to make a long pause on the second time bar before going back to the A section, and to make a feature of this, and also to slow it down towards the very end. The guitar accompaniment can be played with broken chords, or arpeggio style. When we play this tune live we play it as the middle tune of a three-part set, starting with our arrangement of the An Dro, and finishing the set with our arrangement of the Galician Muiñeira, Muiñeira de Boal. Na-Mara (Rob Garcia and Paul McNamara) perform this instrumental piece on mandolin or octave mandola, with guitar accompaniment. They have also used it alongside other tunes in workshops as a teaching and learning resource, introducing players to tunes from different parts of the Celtic world.Recordings of this and other tunes on SMP can be found on Na-Mara’s albums ‘Sisters & Brothers’, ‘Navajos & Pirates’ and ‘The Bite’Na-Mara have built an enviable reputation for fine story-telling and musicianship. They have performed in venues and festivals in the UK, Europe and China, and on BBC Radio 4, and a plethora of internet and local radio stations. They have consistently delivered new and exciting material to audiences.  This includes their own take on traditional tunes from Brittany, France, Ireland, and the Spanish Celtic regions of Asturias and Galicia.Rob Garcia:  mandolin, octave mandola, classical guitar & backing vocalsPaul McNamara: guitar & lead vocalsWeb site: http://www.na-mara.com/

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.801556 Composed by Connie Boss. Children,Christmas,Country,Folk. Score. 4 pages. Connie Boss #6140931. Published by Connie Boss (A0.801556). I decided to make a collection of my favorite Christmas memories as a child and then as a parent. This is the 3rd song in the collection. It is for solo and piano. In every song, the refrain uses the same lyrics but has a different melody. There are 4 songs in the collection. It is about going for a drive one Christmas Eve when we saw a blinking light in the sky. We convinced ourselves it was Rudolph pulling Santa's sleigh. What a fun memory. cdboss@cvalley.net for any questions.
