Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1349710 By James M. Black and Katherine E. Purvis. By James M. Black and Katherine E. Purvis. Arranged by Bob Affonso. Historic,Holiday,Jazz,March,Pop. 24 pages. Celebratory Music #934482. Published by Celebratory Music (A0.1349710). This popular New Orleans classic by James M. Black and Katherine E. Purvis is a lively and celebratory rendition that is scored for an 8-piece brass ensemble. It also includes optional percussion parts. The spirit and energy of the song is reflected in this well-arranged version. It sounds great with or without the percussion! A great addition if you are looking to program a novelty selection! If you want the full New Orleans experience, it also works great when played after my version of Just A Closer Walk With Thee..

Bassoon Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018948 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 2 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078681. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018948). Programme Notes: This composition was written to be considered for pairing alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony #3, the Eroica, but can stand on its own virtues as an intense and slow meditation on heroism. The music is like a boiling pot on the stove that’s just began to overflow its bubbles. The first part of the title, kommos, is a Classical Greek term from Attic dramaturgy, literally meaning striking but specifically referring to beating oneself up during lamentation--ripping at the hair, gouging out the eyes--like Oedipus--slapping the forehead, and other acts amid moments of extreme emotional turmoil. For example, from Aeschylus's play Agamemnon, a character bewails: Apollo, Apollo! God of the Ways, my destroyer! For you have destroyed me-and utterly [...]What is this fresh woe [...]what monstrous, monstrous horror, beyond love's enduring, beyond all remedy? And help stands far away! We can easily imagine physical accompaniment to the script; rather than bottling up the pain, the hero lets it all explosively come out.  â€ƒThe second part of the title, When the world moved on, is an epigraph taken from American author Stephen King’s The Dark Tower epic. The primary setting of the novel, a world similar in many ways to our own, is experiencing a dark age where the glorious past is all but a distant memory and all good things are referred to wistfully as occurring, When the world moved on. Yet, the main protagonist, Roland, the last gunslinger, emphasizes that it is not just a figure of speech, but the literal distances between destinations have increased, the positions of the stars have changed, as well as the occurrence of other unnatural phenomena. The world has become a gulf of isolation from all corners. Taken together, this piece is a lamentation for when the world moved on. Truly completed on Yom Kippur during the Covid-19 Pandemic, being unable to fast or go to synagogue, this is my atonement.About the Composer: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings, with support from the Ontario Arts Council. He is a member of SOCAN and the League of Canadian Composers.

Cello Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588383 By The Beatles. By John Lennon, John Winston Lennon, Paul James Mccartney, and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Individual part. 3 pages. David McKeown #5319411. Published by David McKeown (A0.588383). When I’m Sixty-Four first appeared on the Beatles’ 1967 album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Despite the song’s appearance relatively late in the Beatles’ discography, it was one of the first songs that Paul McCartney wrote, at the age of 16. When the song was finally recorded in 1966, Paul McCartney felt it was too slow and turgid. George Martin simply solved the problem by speeding up the tape and raising the pitch by one semitone. This version of When I’m Sixty-Four is arranged in a suitable key and range for solo Cello.  Piano/Guitar chords are also included above the stave.Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.829234 Composed by Tim Minchin. Arranged by Brianne Lundberg. Broadway,Children,Contemporary,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score. 6 pages. Brianne Lundberg #5288581. Published by Brianne Lundberg (A0.829234). This playful piece from Matilda the Musical explores how children see grown ups and all that they imagine they will be able to do when they’re grown up. With a driving beat and a perfect balance between lightheartedness and solemnity, “When I Grow Up†is a fantastic and engaging modern musical theatre piece. This is an intermediate piano arrangement with optional vocal solo, set in the original key (F major). 5 pages (plus cover); includes repeats with 1st and 2nd endings. It is written in the same style as the original, but simplified to make it playable for an early to mid intermediate pianist. Good for smaller hands (largest harmonic interval is minor 7th). Includes chord symbols. This arrangement is a great standalone musical solo piece and includes all lyrics up through the verse originally written for Miss Honey; ends after this section (does not include the final upbeat section where Matilda's lyrics begin with Just because you find that life's not fair...).May be performed as a piano solo or as a vocal accompaniment. If used for vocal accompaniment, the vocalist should read the Treble staff of the piano part. Lyrics indicate which notes to follow. Vocalist should adjust octaves as needed. Lower harmonies are generally meant to be played by the pianist (not sung).See more previews of this sheet music at www.MusicAndTheory.com/when-i-grow-up-matilda.Brianne Lundberg is a Composer, Arranger, and Piano Instructor. In addition to publishing with Hal Leonard, she has independently published many arrangements and original compositions for piano and a variety of other instruments and ensembles.
