String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1394900 By Owl City. By Adam Young, Brian Lee, and Matthew Thiessen. Arranged by Sean Dixon. 21st Century,Contemporary,Film/TV,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. 19 pages. Sean Dixon #978382. Published by Sean Dixon (A0.1394900). When Can I See You Again is an electronic, dance song that runs throughout Disney Pixar's movie Wreck-It-Ralph. However, how does the thumbing of kick drums and the whirl of synthesizers translate to a string quartet? This arrangment was written for late elementary and middle school students in mind. The melody is split up between each instrument allowing for each student to be featured, but also teaching young musicians when to play out and when to play under the melody. Most of the players use pizzaccato or tremolo at some point, allowing the musicians to explore the different textures they can create with their instruments. Students are introduced to some syncopation but are still given strong downbeats by someone else in the ensemble. This arrangment allows for students to learn fundemental music skills while also playing something they have heard on the big screen!

C Instrument - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488148 By Barry Manilow. By Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. Arranged by John Fries. 20th Century,Christmas,Holiday,Standards. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 2 pages. John Fries #1065030. Published by John Fries (A0.1488148). TYPE JOHN FRIES IN THE SEARCH BAR TO SEE ALL I HAVE TO OFFER. Thanks, John. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is a song written in 1943 by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis. Frank Sinatra later recorded a version with modified lyrics. Some of the original lyrics penned by Martin were rejected before filming began. When presented with the original draft lyric, Garland, her co-star Tom Drake and director Vincente Minnelli criticized the song as depressing, and asked Martin to change the lyrics. Though he initially resisted, Martin made several changes to make the song more upbeat. For example, the lines It may be your last / Next year we may all be living in the past became Let your heart be light / Next year all our troubles will be out of sight. How's that for an improvment?

Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1040536 By Alan Wagstaff. By Alan Wagstaff. Arranged by Alan Wagstaff. Celtic,Folk,Irish,Traditional. Octavo. 45 pages. Alan Wagstaff #639233. Published by Alan Wagstaff (A0.1040536). 'Do As You Will' is a folksy, Celtic feel choral song arranged for SSAA -with harp, flute, fiddle, and accordion accompaniment. Its shifting tonality adds complexity. The lyric is female point of view: Do As You Will Once I had a soldier lad who swore he’d love me truly. Ah! But now those days are gone! When the battle raged he turned his heel and followed duly. I gave him the salute and soldiered on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Then I loved a farmer’s son whose trinkets were his kisses. Ah! But now those days are gone! But on the road to market he had scores of narrow misses. I tossed him out for chaff and ploughed straight on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Next I had a blacksmith who was swarthy, dark, and handsome. Ah! But now those days are gone! He stole away my store of coin and ran off with the ransom. I hope he finds the fires! I’m forging on! The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Jack the Tinker courted me, and he was ever willing. Ah! But now those days are gone! Everywhere he plied his trade he fell to Jack and Jilling. I rattled his old pans and wandered on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. There’s no faith in any man, not even my own brother. Ah! But would those days were gone! Girls, if you but would, or can, you’d best love one another and leave them all behind and carry on! The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will.

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012883 Composed by Dean H. Hamill. A Cappella,Contest,Festival,Jewish,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 34 pages. D H Hamill #6536703. Published by D H Hamill (A0.1012883). Many of the most beautiful passages of scripture appear in the Book of Isaiah. When set to beautiful music, they can be inspiring, uplifting, and fill both listeners and singers with hope. It is my wish that these brief choral works will engender those feelings in those who experience these in performance. Though each piece will stand on its own, together they create a powerful message lasting altogether approximately twelve minutes.  PDF files and mp3s for each of the songs may be found separately on this site:  How Beautiful; Sing, O Heavens; And In That Day.  There you can listen to an mp3 of the individual songs.  The mp3 here includes excerpts from each song.   The composer may be contacted at dean.hamill@hushmail.com.
