Cello and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q11668 Composed by Luigi Carvelli. This edition: Sheet music. Cello Library. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q11668. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q11668). There are composers about whom nothing or only little is known, who are only known through their works or even through one work only. Luigi Carvelli is one of them: He lived in the second half of the 19th century and died after the turn of the century. Carvelli is supposed to have been a hornist in the area of Torino/Milan and played at the world premiere of Verdi's 'Falstaff'. The only extant work is his 'Serenata Napolitana' – a delightfully catchy and melodious little piece, ideal as a little performance piece for lessons or as an encore, as a special treat after a major sonata programme.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1451982 Composed by Todd Marchand. Christian,Sacred. 5 pages. Con Spirito Music #1031298. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1451982). Written by Henry Williams Baker (1821-1877) and titled “The Lord Shall Give His People the Blessing of Peace,” the text of “O God of Love, Give Peace Again” was published in the 1861 edition of the landmark English hymnal, Hymns Ancient and Modern. Baker, who is perhaps best remembered for his hymn “The King of Love My Shepherd Is,” was chairman of the committee that prepared that hymnal. Because war is a constant in the world, Baker's text is always relevant. Stanza 1 is an entreaty that God would “make wars throughout the world to cease.” Stanza 2 asks that God recall his “works of old,” for only by God's hand can peace be given again. Stanza 3 extends this thought by asking “Whom shall we trust but thee, O Lord? Where rest but on thy faithful word?” and noting that “none ever called on Thee in vain.” A fourth verse, omitted in some hymnals, ends on the hopeful note that as saints and angels are bound “in holy love,” so we might also be bound to them and to one another in love and peace. In this original setting of Baker’s text, stanza 1 is sung by unison voices, stanza 2 by unison women, stanza 3 by unison men, and stanza 4 in parts following a recapitulation of the introduction and a modulation to the relative major key.  ©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP). Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1287126 Composed by John W. Fisher. Arranged by John W. Fisher. 21st Century,Christian,Contemporary,Instructional,Praise & Worship. 3 pages. John Fisher #878132. Published by John Fisher (A0.1287126). This sermon song was inspired by a homily by Dr. Paul de Jong of First Presbyterian Fort Myers Florida, July 30, 2023 from Mark 1: 1-11.In the beginning the earth was created. In the beginning the Word was made flesh.Jesus our Saviour began His long journey, baptized by John, His spirit was fresh. When He was baptized, He rose from the water, there was a voice, as a dove was released.God spoke to all who had gathered at Jordan, This is my son, in whom I am pleased.Adam and Eve, they me sin in the garden, Jesus was tempted in desert so dry.Because what happened to Eve and to Adam, Jesus for us did suffer and die.For forty days He was tempted by Satin, guarded by angels He never gave in.  Likewise e're challenged by forces of evil, but by our faith we're saved from our sin.

Each of the main verses are sung to her, while the refrain is addressed to his friend whom he reassures by reminding him that they will both go back to Scotland...That he (his soul) will go on the low road and get back to Scotland first, whereas his friend and brother-in-arms will, upon release, take the high road home that linked London and Edinburgh. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553915 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Wedding. 12 pages. RayThompsonMusic #6103441. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553915). La plus que lente, L. 121 The more than slow), is a waltz for solo piano written by Claude Debussy in 1910, shortly after his publication of the Préludes, Book I.The piece debuted at the New Carlton Hotel in Paris, where it was transcribed for strings and performed by the popular 'gipsy' violinist, Léoni, for whom Debussy wrote it (and who was given the manuscript by the composer).Despite its title, La plus que lente was not meant to be played slowly; lente, in this context, refers to the valse lente genre that Debussy attempted to emulate.Typical of Debussy's caustic approach to naming his compositions, it represented his reaction to the vast influence of the slow waltz in France's social atmospheres. However, as Frank Howes noted, La plus que lente is, in Debussy's wryly humorous way, the valse lente [slow waltz] to outdo all others. The work is marked Molto rubato con morbidezza, indicating Debussy's encouragement of a flexible tempo.Arranged for standard wind quintet.

Alto Voice,Soprano voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1354327 By Steven Erekson. By Adolphe Charles Adam/Placide Cappeau. Arranged by Steven L. Erekson. Christian,Christmas,Holiday,Sacred,Spiritual. 6 pages. Steven L. Erekson #939042. Published by Steven L. Erekson (A0.1354327). Written for 1 saprano and 2 altos, this arrangment of Oh Holy Night was written upon request of a family member who had difficulty finding an arrangement for 3 female vocalists. 4 days later and with a day to spare before they left for holidays, the request was happily filled and the result as you see it here. It features two of the 3 verses with a reference to the most important phrase found in the origional's third verse. The chord structures at some points differ from what is commonly associated with this carol and a number of key changes attempt to keep things in a suitable range and entertain the singers with added difficulty, but mostly enables a reverent capture of the attention of the audience. The third verse was not included in full to keep the piece to a suitable length for settings of worship. To my surprise, some church services at Christmas time leave me un-fed. I keep longing for the reverence that should be and would have been felt in the presence of the newborn of whom this song speaks. There is glory and rejoicing in the arrival of the Christ, yes; I do not wish to overlook this aspect of the season, but the greater emphasis that I intended to accompany this arrangement is that of the often-lacking submissive reverence embodied in the concluding phrase; behold your King. The best way to bring the best verision of this piece is to vary the tempo throughout to create more emotion and exagerate the dynamic markings. Begin the piece with awe and contained anticipation, increase in majesty to reflect the praise of angels and the glory of the Christ, then sing as though you enter the place where He rests as you lead your audience thereto. A voice recording is in the works.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264702 Composed by Giuseppe Rastelli, Gorni Kramer, and Mario Panzeri. Arranged by Bacco Baccanels. 20th Century,A Cappella,Jazz. Octavo. 6 pages. Bacco Baccanels #857536. Published by Bacco Baccanels (A0.1264702). TTBB Version of the great song by Gorni Kramer. The arrangement is quite basic and is not barbershop like: there is one voice for the main melody (Tenor1) and three voices emulating the armonic infrastructure.(I made also a richer SAATTB version with additional staffs taken from a Pasquale Amico vocal arrangement).TTBB voices follow a simple arrangement: Soprano does the main melody and Tenor, Baritone and Bass do accompaniment: an easy bass line and two voices for the chords.Baritone and Bass often play upbeat in the first bars of most of the phrases (pretending to be guitars or trumpets) and turn to straight beat in the final measures.Tempo is fast, thus singing those upbeat at the right speed can be challenging: bear in mind slowing them down produces a global weakening of the entire song: I suggest Tenor2 and Baritone drink some coffee before singing...To add movement to an otherwise great and funny but simple structure, I added few bars to the original work, starting from bar 79 (F mark); here, pay attention to sing in sync, since the section is very rhythmic. Some background information about the song: written in 1939 under the fascist regime, Kramer was accused of making fun of the fascist hierarch Achille Starace, who used to walk upright in a black shirt, arousing the hilarity of the population. The song thus had to face the censorship of the regime, given that the allusion appeared quite clear. Many years after the composition, Gorni Kramer declared that the piece was inspired not by Starace but by the maestro Pippo Barzizza, with whom, in 1939, Kramer had had an argument during a performance at the Kursaal in Viareggio.
