Brass Band Euphonium,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171832 Composed by William Grant Still. Arranged by Richard Decker. 20th Century,Blues,Contest,Festival,Jazz,Multicultural,World. 56 pages. Charles Decker Music Press #772105. Published by Charles Decker Music Press (A0.1171832). From the Music of Black Composers Series is this arrangement of the third movement Humor from William Grant Still's Afro-American Symphony for a brass choir of 4 B-flat trumpets, 4 horns in F, 3 trombones, euphonium and tuba. Still's Afro-American Symphony was one of the most significant classical orchestra compositions of the early 1930s to incorporate African-American folk influences. Premiered by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at conductor Howard Hanson's notable American Music Festival, it brought the flavor of the Blues and folk music to the symphony. For Still the Blues was a distinct African-American musical contribution he incorporated into a symphonic work. As part of the early 20th Century Harlem Renaissance in New York City, the work was enthusiastically received across the USA and overseas. This brass choir arrangement of the third movement will enliven concerts with its colorful rhythms reminiscent of Gershwin and blues harmonies. Beyond brass ensemble programs feature your band or orchestra brass section on this exciting arrangement which can be paired with the additional first movement (Longing) of Still's Afro-American Symphony arranged for similar brass choir with Charles Decker Music Press.“The Music of Black Composers Series is a welcome and timely addition to the brass repertoire. Harmonica - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1360385 By Andy Williams. By Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer. Arranged by songbooks.info. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Standards. Score. 3 pages. Songbooks.info #944879. Published by songbooks.info (A0.1360385). Moon River - 1961, music: Henry Mancini, lyrics: Johnny Mercer - was composed for the film Breakfast at Tiffany's, in which the song was sung by Audrey Hepburn. The composers received the Oscar for the best film song in 1962, and the song is considered a contribution to the Great American Songbook. The song was adapted for the diatonic Harmonica in the “Richter†system - the “Bluesharp†- and provided with symbols for channel number / blowing or drawing. These symbols are key-neutral, the notes and sounds are appropriate for a harmonica in “Câ€. The symbols are briefly explained in the appendix. The classic musical notation and/or the lyrics help to develop the song, so that even those unfamiliar with music can learn to play the song with this arrangement. The sound of a Vibraphone was used in the setting, so that the sound does not mix with the sound of your own instrument. The melody is backed by a metronome and quietly by an organ.

Major Mandolin #1067024. Published by Major Mandolin (A0.1490173). 23 February - 6 March 1836R E M E M B E R     T H E     A L A M O  !For 13 deadly days – from the 23rd of February to the 6th of March – in 1836, within the sacred, holy, and hallowed walls of an old Catholic mission, 200 brave men faced thousands of the enemy and had the privilege of choosing the time, place and cause of their death. Can any among us even dare hope to die at a time and in a place of our choosing, and for a cause in which we so fervently believe? These men were prepared for the enemy; these men were prepared for death; these men were prepared to meet The Lord. The names of William Barrett Travis, Davy Crockett, and James Bowie are known by all. But they fought and died alongside 197 other courageous souls – nameless, but honored nonetheless. Some of the nameless souls were of European heritage, some were of Mexican descent, some were Americans. For those daring and deadly days in San Antonio, all were Texians !R E M E M B E R    T H E    A L A M O !How can any Texian dare forget ? !
