Oktober 1762 (To my beloved son Wolfgang Amadeus for his sixth Name Day from his father Leopold Mozart.Salzburg,October 31st, 1962)This book had an important influence on Mozart’s early compositions. The pieces fall into three categories:The first category includes songs and dances of a folk nature such as Jägerlied, Schwabentanz Schmiedecourante, Waldhornstück. The second category provides examples of compositions by Scarlatti, Bach, Händel, e.g. Fantasias, Allegros, Arias. The third group presents contemporary dance movements in the French style like Minuets, Courantes, Polonaises and Rondi.Father Mozart included pieces in a variety of styles with the intention of helping Mozart not only to learn piano technique, but also elements of composition. The works are intentionally simple, one task for the boy being to fill out the incomplete harmonies. Overall, the technical standard is appropriate to the age and abilities of the player. Apart from its historical significance, the Notenbuch for Wolfgang Amadeus is a colourful collection of charming little pieces.

LicariMusic Preparation Serviceswww.musicprepservices.comEine kleine Nachtmusik (K. 525), is a 1787 composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The German title means a little serenade, though it is often rendered more literally as a little night music. The work is written for an ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with optional double bass but is often performed by string orchestras.  The work was completed in Vienna on 10 August 1787,[2] around the time Mozart was working on the second act of his opera Don Giovanni.  This first movement is in sonata-allegro form. It opens with an ascending Mannheim rocket theme. The second theme is more graceful and in D major, the dominant key of G major. The exposition closes in D major and is repeated. The development section begins on D major and touches on D minor and C major before the work returns to G major for the recapitulation. This arrangement has been adapted to accommodate a clarinet choir - 3 Bb Clarinets, and a Bass Clarinet.

Adagio in B Minor, K. 540 for Piano Solo (as interpreted by Víkingur Ólafsson). The Adagio in B minor, K. 540, is a composition for piano solo by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He entered it into his Verzeichnis aller meiner Werke (Catalogue of all my Works) on 19 March 1788. At 57 measures, the length of the piece is largely based on the performer's interpretation, including the decision of whether to do both repeats; it may last between 5+1â„2 and 16 minutes. The key of B minor is very rare in Mozart's compositions; it is used in only one other instrumental work, the slow movement from the Flute Quartet No. 1 in D major, K. 285. The Austrian composer and academic Gerhard Präsent has made an arrangement for string quartet in four movements Fantasy Quartet in D in which this piece acts as the third one. Piano Quintet Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552099 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Classical,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. 12 pages. Jmsgu3 #6119421. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552099). Mozart: Ave verum corpus K. 618 for PIANO QUINTET. This is a fantastic masterpiece of music written by one of the greatest composers in our history. This famous piece by Mozart was composed only six months before his untimely death in 1791. Mozart wrote this on commission while working on the Magic Flute. Program this for Lent or Easter meditations or any Christian communion service. Also, this would be a strong recital encore showing mastery of phrasing, tone quality, and dynamics.Ave verum corpusFirst, Mozart composed a most noteworthy motet in Latin, Ave verum corpus. This translates in English as Hail, the actual body. The motet is undoubtedly listed as K.618 in the Köchel Catalog. This is a chronological catalog of Mozart’s compositions consequently published by Ludwig von Köchel. Seems like Mozart probably composed this motet in the last year of his life. Likewise, he worked on his final opera, the Magic Flute, and his Requiem Mass at the time. Mozart wrote it for the feast of Corpus Christi. He scored it for SATB choir, string instruments, and a small organ. Hence, while the Requiem is a more dramatic work, the motet expresses even more the Eucharistic thoughts with relatively simple means, well-matched for the church choir in a small town.Early YearsWolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) was a productive and significant Austrian classical composer. Mozart displayed unusual musical capability from his earliest childhood. It seems like he could already play the keyboard and violin at age two. He started composing at age five and performed before European royalty.Middle PeriodAt 17, Mozart was working as a musician at the Salzburg Royal Court but grew agitated from boredom and traveled to search for a more exciting job. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was summarily dismissed from his Salzburg job. Nevertheless, he decided to stay in the Capital (Vienna), where he achieved much fame but little economic haven. Throughout his concluding years in the Capital, he composed many of his most famous works: symphonies, operas, and concertos.Final PeriodThe conditions surrounding his death have been the subject of much conjecture and mythology. He composed over 600 works, many recognized as high points of symphonic, chamber, concertante, choral, and operatic. He is among the most everlastingly famous classical composers, and his impact is substantial on succeeding Western art music.

Score: 11 pages. Violin: 4 pages, Cello: 2 pages, piano: 4 pages. This is one of the most beloved works in all of Mozart's catalog making it a strong choice for a recital, meditation, nightclub, church or wedding reception. Eine kleine Nachtmusik Eine kleine Nachtmusik is also at the same time known as Serenade No. 13. Indeed, we find it listed in the Köchel Catalog as K. 525. With this in mind, Mozart composed the piece by all means in 1787 probably as a commission. To clarify, the title translates as a little night-music. Mozart originally scored the work in particular for an ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with double bass (optional). In modern times the work is certainly usually performed by string orchestras, though it is often in fact performed by a string quartet – with or without double bass. Publication A point often overlooked is that the name of the work derives from the entry Mozart made in his private journal. He wrote: Eine kleine Nacht-Musik. This explains that Mozart was probably not naming the piece, but only entering a record that he had completed it. Nevertheless, the work was published by and large in 1827. It had been sold to the publisher for the most part in 1799 by Mozart's widow Constanze. Nowadays, it is on balance extensively performed and recorded. Some critics ultimately claim that it is the most popular of all Mozart's works.   Early Years Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), was a productive and significant Austrian classical composer. LicariMusic Preparation Services www.musicprepservices.com A very short work (around a minute in length); it was most likely notated by his father, Leopold, as Wolfgang was only five or six years old at the time. The entry for this work was composed in Salzburg in January 1762.  It was written for the harpsichord and is hence usually performed on the harpsichord, though other keyboard instruments may be used.  This piece is a single bar motif which is developed into an eight-bar exposition, which is repeated, and then modulated for another eight bars before being repeated again.  This arrangement is for two clarinets.
