String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1106752 Composed by James Agee and Samuel Barber. Arranged by Steven Nunes. 20th Century,Classical,Opera. 8 pages. Nagamon Publications #709664. Published by Nagamon Publications (A0.1106752). Sure on this shining night, op.13 no.3 is an art song by composer Samuel Barber from his 1938 song cycle Four Songs. The work's text is taken from James Agee's poem Descriptions of Elysium which was published in his 1934 poetry collection Permit Me Voyage by the Yale Series of Younger Poets. One of Barber's most frequently performed works, the work displays Barber's Neo-Romantic lyricism with its classically oriented formal structure and carefully crafted interplay between solo voice and piano that emphasizes canonic imitation.[1] In 1938 Barber created an orchestral arrangement for the song. Barber later reworked the art song into an SATB choral arrangement in 1961. This arrangement is for solo voice and string quartet in the original key.

Music Theory for Young Beginners―“Hey, Notes!†is a digital workbook series with exercises, games, and songs suitable for music beginners ages 4 to 9. The series covers the fundamentals of music theory in three chapters. It is written for piano lessons but could also be used in any music class setting. Once you complete all three chapters, you are ready for most grade-one theory exams (if you want to test your knowledge with an exam).“Hey, Notes!†Chapter 3 works on eighth-note and sixteen-note rhythm, dotted notes, accidentals, keys, scales, triads, and intervals. We also look at more dynamic signs and work on a quick recap of the performance directions introduced in the previous chapter.Note: the book jumps from topic to topic, slowly increasing the information as it progresses. However, you could skip around and look at any pages relevant to your lesson or use this digital workbook as a revision before progressing to the next grade.
