In Little Seeds you will find new hymns from my heart. My devotional life is given to you in my hymnwriting. During the past three years I have been writing songs for the unity of the church - songs reminding us of our baptism. I have been writing biblical story hymns for lesser-known characters. I have written paperless songs that may be easily memorized. I set a Rumi poem. There are new hymns for Christian missions from everywhere to everywhere. You will find new texts and musical settings for folk songs from around the world. I hope I have treated these with the love and respect they deserve. You will find alternate arrangements of some songs that may be useful in different settings. Lim Swee Hong composed three tunes for this collection at my request. I am also pleased to include Lianne Tan's first published hymn tune in Little Seeds

Flute Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.971639 Composed by Jeffrey Hoover. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 9 pages. Musicart Publications #4102953. Published by Musicart Publications (A0.971639). For solo (unaccompanied) flute.  In three movements, total duration 7:45. Concerto in Horror is inspired by HP Lovecraft's writing in the science fiction-horror genre 1. Angles in Dreams ( The Dreams in the Witch-House), 2. Dark City (about Arkham), and 3. Unspeakable! (The Call of Cthulhu). The playing techniques include both traditional and extended techniques for expressive purposes: harmonics, flutter tongue, residual tones, multiphonics, and altered fingers. HP Lovecraft (1890-1937) wrote numerous works set in rural Western Massachusetts, in settings he imaginatively created and used throughout his writing career. His writings were highly influential in the early 20th century and have enjoyed a resurgence of popularity. Jeffrey Hoover's compositions- music ranging from soloist to symphony orchestra -have received recognition through the prestigious Trieste prize, the international Luigi Russolo competition, awards from Mu Phi Epsilon, the Lancaster Fine Arts Festival, grants, publications fellowships and more than 20 commissions. He is a member of the ACME roster of Mu Phi Epsilon, recognized for distinguished achievement as a composer. One unique aspect of Hoover’s work is when he combines composition with his paintings, creating synergetic art that intrigues and captivate audiences and performers alike. His paintings are seen in exhibitions and in concerts where his paintings are projected while musicians perform his music. Hoover’s background as a performer includes both classical and jazz music, as saxophonist and conductor. His book The Arts and Society: Making New Worlds is published by Kendall Hunt Publishing.Hoover was born on September 11, 1959, in Anderson, Indiana. He holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Composition and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts) from Texas Tech University, as well as a M.M. and Bch.Sc. from Ball State University. His career in higher education has included both faculty and arts administration appointments.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1435022 By Ivajla Kirova. By KEYA. 21st Century,Classical,New Age. Score. 8 pages. The Noise Factory #1015125. Published by The Noise Factory (A0.1435022). This was inspired by the story of a homeless man my grandmother met in her neighbourhood when she was young. Everyone thought he was insane but my grandmother did not think so since he always carried poetry writings and artworks with him wherever he went. My grandmother befriended him and during one of their conversations on the street he told her that he spent his life writing poems, drew portraits of the women he loved, and acknowledges that “life is nothing but a dream”. One day this homeless man disappeared and it wasn’t until a few weeks later that he was rumoured to have passed away one rainy night inside an abandoned house which was his childhood home. This piece intends to describe that man’s thoughts and feelings during his final moments: his lifetime memories, his final acceptance, and true inner peace before saying goodbye to this world.

Small Ensemble Flute,Keyboard,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1005681 Composed by Grace Joy Reid. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 9 pages. Creating Music Joy #6197023. Published by Creating Music Joy (A0.1005681). My original song, Poe's Christmas Eve Carousel Ride, is a microtonal melody for Celesta and/or Flute/Voice, based on Edgar Allan Poe's Evening Star.I imagined Edgar Allan Poe sitting on one of the carousel horses as it was going around and around. While this was happening, he was looking up at the night sky and thought about how much he liked the evening star better than the moon's light. (The celesta is known for its recognized sound in Tchaikovsky's, The Nutcracker Suite, The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.). I figured out how to put it in a quartal tone key in Finale, thanks to Google. I used quartal tones in the left hand, so it's a blend of a tonal melodic line in an atonal landscape.  Edgar Allan Poe had a horrific life. His father abandoned his family when he was young. His mother died when he was a child. After he was adopted, although not legally, he had a falling out with his foster father, who alienated him and didn't let him know that his foster mother was dying. But, he did inform him after she died. Edgar married his cousin, Virginia Clem, who was 13 and he was 26. She died 11 years into their marriage due to tuberculosis. Thus, some writers say that all of his writings have a beautiful woman who died in his stories. He lost all of the women who loved him in his life. When you see his portrait, he has sad eyes, as someone who has suffered much. But, his writing has lived well beyond his lifetime of misery and heartache.  My song symbolizes, not only Poe's poem, but his life, as very difficult, yet beautiful.  With me poetry has not been a purpose, but a passion. Edgar Allan Poe.  Warning:  Before purchasing this music, make sure that you know how to use quartal tones in your keyboard.

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.933694 Composed by T. J. Williams, J. S. Bach. Arranged by Leandro Bizama. Baroque,Christian,Concert,Sacred. Score and parts. 93 pages. Leandro Bizama Music #3420423. Published by Leandro Bizama Music (A0.933694). A dramatic juxtaposition of the hymn Once to Every Man and Nation with excerpts from the Prelude in C minor by Bach's renown The Well Tempered Clavier. The pipe organ part, which is just as playable on a synthesizer as a real pipe organ, quotes straight from Bach's hand to add to the power of the hymn. With accessible writing but an impressive ensemble sound, this can be an exciting piece in your next program. Suitable for High School, advanced Middle School ensembles, church or community wind ensembles, Once to Every Man introduces the famous writings of Bach's keyboard works to the modern avenue of Concert Band. And just like Bach did in his prelude, this arrangement reaches a stirring finale in the major key, and will quickly be loved by audiences and performers alike. For more info about the arranger visit www.leandrobizama.com

Small Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Harpsichord,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742480 By ABBA. By Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Arranged by Javier Martínez. Contemporary. Score and parts. 40 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4736959. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742480). Take a Chance on Me is a song by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in January 1978 as the second single from their fifth studio album ABBA: The Album. The song has been featured on a number of ABBA compilations such as Gold: Greatest Hits. The working title of Take a Chance on Me was Billy Boy. Written and recorded in 1977 by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, it opens as a cold intro and was sung by Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, with Fältskog delivering the solo passages. It has a constant uptempo throughout the entire recording. It was one of ABBA's first singles in which their manager Stig Anderson did not lend a hand in writing the lyrics, firmly establishing Andersson and Ulvaeus as a songwriting partnership. The song's origins sprang from Ulvaeus, whose hobby was running. While running, he would sing a tck-a-ch-style rhythm to himself over and over again, which then evolved into take-a-chance and the eventual lyrics.[1] The song's B-side was I'm a Marionette, which, like Thank You for the Music and I Wonder (Departure) (the B-side to their previous single, The Name of the Game), was intended to be part of a mini-musical entitled The Girl With the Golden Hair that Andersson and Ulvaeus had planned, but ultimately shelved.Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_a_Chance_on_Me
