String Ensemble,String Quintet Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813267 Composed by Mykola Leontovych. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,A Cappella,Christmas,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 16 pages. Regis Bookshar #6167875. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813267). Violin Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This selection, Carol of the Bells, also known as Ring, Christmas Bells, is suitable for high school and college students and is perfect for Christmas concerts and church services. Carol of the Bells was written by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914 with lyrics by Peter J. Wilhousky. The song is based on the Ukrainian folk chant Shchedryk, a New Year's song, known in English as The Little Swallow, and utilizes a four-note ostinato which brings to mind the ringing of bells. Originally intended to be sung a capella by a mixed four-part choir it has since been recorded into over 150 versions and re-arrangements for various vocal and instrumental compositions. One version, Ring, Christmas Bells, an English-language variant with Nativity-based lyrics, was written by Minna Louise Hohman in 1947. Regis Bookshar has now arranged the music for a Violin Quintet. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (16 pages). In addition to this version for 5 Violins, many other arrangements of this selection are also available for a variety of instrumental ensembles, including Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets, as well as numerous other selections in a wide variety of styles. I would encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar. You may find something else which might interest you as well. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement will entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Daintree. 20th Century,Broadway,Contemporary,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Spiritual. Octavo. 3 pages. Julia Daintree #838741. Published by Julia Daintree (A0.1243771). Three flxible parts. SAT, SAA, SAB.No written Piano accompaniment, just guitar / piano chords.Suitable for Community Choirs, schools, chamber groups. Not overly challenging but interesting enough to produce great sound. This arrangement has a few challenges but nothing too hard. It really does sound brilliant. I have written an 'outro' to bring a twist to the words. Originally it was arranged for a Gospel Choir so we used the words 'says our God', but I have since used it with a community choir and used the words 'Oohhh') there - both work well.Be warned - everyone is going through something, and this song seems to bring out a lot of emotion from the choir and audience. Keep some tissues andy. It sounds beautiful.Tried, tested and very much enjoyed by all :).

Instrumental Duet Bassoon,Instrumental Duet,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.590458 Composed by David McKeown. Holiday,Love,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6211965. Published by David McKeown (A0.590458). Liebe, (German for Love), is a beautiful original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for one Oboe and one Bassoon. This duet is inspired by the German Baroque style, particularly the slow compound-time compositions of JS Bach and the canonic sonatas written by GP Telemann. Both composers filled their works with deep emotion, transcending the strict musical rules of the period. Liebe is a Canon, with the first part following the second throughout, one bar behind, like lovers in intimate conversation.Liebe is written for players at an intermediate standard and upwards. The melody should always carry momentum and adding plenty of expression will help convey the style. Liebe has a performance time of around three minutes. Piano - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7454 No. 1-4. Composed by Viktor Ullmann. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. 1. Schott Music - Digital #Q7454. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7454). Ullman‘s seven Piano Sonatas were written between 1936 and 1944. Though rediscovered as recently as 1990, they are now available in a number of recordings. Neo-classical in approach, the piano writing and the use of polytonality places them closer to Skriabin and Prokofiev than to the works of Ullman‘s teachers Arnold Schoenberg and Alois Hába – this applies also to the Piano Concerto, written during the same period. The numerous quotes from Mozart, Wagner, Mahler, and Dukas to folksongs and tunes from operettas are particulary interesting in this context.

String Quintet Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1168474 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Instructional,March,Opera,Romantic Period. 15 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #768808. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1168474). This arrangement adapted for violin quintet was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, that is, inspiring and significant to the already known choral symphony by Beethoven, indicated to be performed by young music students, who want to enter the symphonic music, moreover, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change in key, so that it is comfortable for all instruments in the formation, thus maintaining the essence of the striking melody, as well as using it for ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions.Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (To Joy), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as the instruments in a symphony, thus creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form that was to be adopted by Romantic composers. This is the last complete symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best known works in the Western repertoire, considered both an icon and predecessor of Romantic music, and one of Beethoven's great masterpieces, where it was first performed on May 7, 1824, the same year it was completed, at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria. The conductor was Michael Umlauf, the theater's music director, and Beethoven - dissuaded from conducting by the advanced stage of his deafness - was given a special place on the stage next to the conductor. It was later rearranged by Herbert von Karajan to become the anthem of the European Union in 1972, the national anthem of Rhodesia from 1974 until 1979, Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia, used the tune Ode to Joy..

You can purchase all 26 folkdances for 30 $ under this link: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/26-swiss-folk-dances-for-2-flutes-and-accompaniment-digital-sheet-music/21673528The document contents 26 folk dances for two flutes (49 pages) and a score (52 pages)Swiss folk music is very lively. Its diversity reflects the small regional and cultural spaces of Switzerland. Influences from other European countries have also shaped this kind of music since the early 19th century. Polka and Mazurka have their roots in Poland, the Scottish in Scotland. The music has been passed on by word of mouth or has been written down in musicians’ notebooks.Between 1940 and 1960, the ethnomusicologist Hanny Christen travelled through Switzerland and collected thousands of melodies from the period between 1800 and 1960. The musicians played or sang in front of her. Some permitted her to write off their own hand-written dance booklets in full. In 1956, Hanny Christen began to record this music with a tape recorder. It is thanks to her that over 12,000 instrumental dance movements of Switzerland and many other pieces of tradition (costumes, biographies, musical instruments etc.) were saved from being forgotten. The instruments used in traditional folk music vary depending on the type of dance and region. Flutes are more or less non-existent. The author would like to fill a gap with this publication. She has therefore adapted one folk dance per canton from the Hanny Christen-collection* for two flutes. The pieces from the cantons of Basel City, Thurgau and Geneva do not come from this source, though. The melodies from the other 23 cantons are taken unchanged from the collection. The second voice was not always composed quite traditional. The melody follows - if possible - a contrapuntal melody of its own and is directed to the flute (difficulty grade 3 +).The editor, Helene Schulthess, is a flutist with a wide repertoire. She lives in Switzerland. She performs as a soloist, makes chamber music and is active as a music teacher. She is involved in various musical projects (www.helene-schulthess.ch).* Swiss Folk Music Collection. The dance music of Switzerland of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. From the estate of Hanny Christen. Edited by Fabian Müller under the auspices of the Society for Folk Music in Switzerland (GVS/SMPS). Music print. Mülirad, Zürich 2002.

Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587525 Composed by Jeremiah Clarke. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 3 pages. David McKeown #4355065. Published by David McKeown (A0.587525). The Prince of Denmark’s March is better known nowadays as the Trumpet Voluntary and is often used in wedding ceremonies. It was in fact written for organ, with the melody played on thetrumpet stop.  Written around 1700, for many years this piece was mistakenly attributed to Henry Purcell. Only recently has it been established that the composer was Jeremiah Clarke, organist at St Paul’s Cathedral. It is somewhat ironic that this composer of a wedding mainstay was himself a victim of unrequited love. He consequently shot himself in the cathedral graveyard. This full version is arranged as a duet for Alto and Tenor Saxophones and the performance time is around two and a half minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and the repeat may be ignored. The complete performance on youtube and the short audio sample are from the Clarinet Duet version of this arrangement. Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, with both parts enjoying melodic interest. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with strict time, full tone and dynamics.
