Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1434546 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 475 pages. Jmsgu3 #1014683. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1434546). The Partitas, BWV 825-830, are a set of six keyboard suites composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and published in 1731 as his Opus 1, the first of his works to be published under his direction. They were among the last keyboard suites Bach composed, written between 1725 and 1731, after the English and French Suites. Each partita consists of a series of dances, typically opening with a prelude-like movement followed by an Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, and Gigue, with additional dances inserted. The tonalities of the six partitas form an ascending and descending pattern of intervals, starting and ending with keys related to Bach's name (B-flat and B). Bach supervised the publication, initially publishing them separately before compiling them into the 1731 Clavier-Übung collection. Many surviving printed copies contain handwritten annotations, some likely stemming from Bach himself, providing insights into the composer's final intentions. They are among Bach's greatest keyboard works, demonstrating mastery of counterpoint, expression, and the instrument's technical capabilities.  The partitas range widely in character, from the poetic No. 1 in B-flat to the monumental tragic No. 6 in E minor. So, the Partitas represent the culmination of Bach's genius for keyboard composition and his final thoughts on the dance suite genre.YouTube Playlist Link:  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLT9KtY0S7DRDEAJI68McqwUGB6XPMvGHl.

University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection #6495673. Published by University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection (A0.893242). This stunning a cappella ballad arrangement of the Johnny Mandel/Johnny Mercer song Emily was penned in 1971 for The Singers Unlimited and still holds up as one of the most beautiful Gene Puerling charts ever written!  It was recorded on their debut album, A Cappella (and contained in the Magic Voices box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling.  The majority of this piece is divided into six parts, with some four- and five-part sections with lush harmonies in a variety of textures, making this a rubato ballad-lovers delight!  (Level V) [Note: The YouTube link below takes you to someone else's post of this copyrighted recording. Small Ensemble Cello,English Horn,Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576333 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jewish. Score and parts. 14 pages. David Warin Solomons #18241. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576333). Originally written for oboe, clarinet and bassoon (also available on this site) this version of Hora ha Kulmus (Dance of the quill) - a dance in Hora style - was arranged for the Trio Da Capo. The Arundo Donax is a humble but versatile plant. The writing implement - the reed quill was used in ancient days, before the feather quill, for writing, and is still used in instances where softness, flexibility and humility are required. (Chazal (the sages of the time 200 BCE to 600 CE) say that, to write a Sefer Torah (a handwritten copy of the five first books of the Bible), one must not use a quill from a cedar tree that stands tall and arrogant, rather a quill from a reed which is soft, flexible and humble.) It is also used for the reeds of musical instruments, hence the title of this piece. The word for this reed and for this reed quill pen crosses the boundaries of Semitic and Indo-European: the Latin Calamus, the Greek kalamos, the Arabic qalam, the Hebrew Kulmus, the Swahili kalamu all go back to the Arundo Donax plant and the reed pen from which it is made. The pdf file contains score and parts The recording here is an electronic preview.

Harp - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889432 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Baroque,Christmas,Concert,Standards. Score. 10 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4736137. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889432). I found this Passacaglia from Bach among some of my own handwritten manuscripts. It is a phenomenal piece. Bach was definitive a great artist, a Genius. Passacaglia is an Italian word. This music form was originated in early 17th-century Spain as a strummed interlude between instrumentally accompanied dances or songs. In this piece we can clearly experience this „Spanish strumming between „Bars 137 and 145. The passacaglia was redefined in the late 1620s by Italian composer Girolamo Frescobaldi, who transformed it into a series of continuous variations over an ostinato bass pattern (which itself may be varied). I added to this piece some interpretation symbols and rearranged it for the harp but every single note was left as it would be found in the original version.  The piece is appropriate for advanced performers. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering.  The piece is difficult but very Human. It requires focused endurance and some practice on certain passages.  Once learned you will also be playing much better.  Feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills and taste. Have fun! It is a piece that can be used in many different kinds of situations, from a serious concert hall to a marriage, it is perfect for Christmas celebrations and all other kinds of Spiritual events. When performed Live It will give you back a great  feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire. The score was written on Finale. The sound file is the version in D minor for a concert harp, it was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of this score. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1168489 Composed by Stephen Foster. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Country,Folk,Instructional,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Chords/Lyrics. 1 pages. Brian Streckfus #768792. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1168489). If you are looking for a historically accurate version, I would just get Hal Leonard's publications of it. This version really sprinkles some razzle dazzle on an otherwise straightforward public domain song in G major, though it does not use the exact  original melody.1. The original melody is NOT intact, this is ghostwritten. Notes were flatted to give a bluesier sound.  2. The chords are very modern, despite this song being written in the mid 1850s. 3. Grace notes added 4. Background harmonies now have more thought put into part writing, originality, being idiomatic on guitar, and making the melody the forefront. 5. Left hand fingerings added to aid in sight-reading.6. Letter names added to note heads to aid in sight-reading.7. I like versions like this because it could be used for a guitarist who doesn't sing, a guitarist who does sing, or a guitarist in a band. In otherwords, the more band members, the more you are just focusing on background chords, the more you are a one-person band, the more you have to take everything in. Tips:1. I arranged this so that students could see how blues scales work as I drenched this song in more blues than it originally had (Bb - B...F - F#...E minor blues and G major blues respectively.) You'll notice I don't stay on these dissonant blues notes for very long, that's why there's so many grace notes in this song.2. The D9 in measure 6 was originally a D7. Some extensions like this don't really change the scale in use.3. The Ab7 in measure 7 was originally a D7, making the Ab7 a tritone substitution. If you know the key of G major well, that chord should stick out like a sore thumb. 4. The Bb7 in measure 14 was originally a G7. I call these kind of substituitions mediant substitutions as they are similiar to jazz tritone substitions, but at a 3rd instead of a tritone.5. The Cm(maj7) was originally a C major chord. This is a modal borrowing composition technique of borrowing from the parrallel minor, in this case, G minor.

Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1365910 Composed by Ian Deterling. Classical. 172 pages. Ian Deterling #950261. Published by Ian Deterling (A0.1365910). Note: The original version of Duet in D-Flat Major made use of relatively uncommon time signatures (6/16; 9/16; 12/16). This 'Alternate Version' has rewritten the piece into more familiar time signatures (6/8; 9/8; 12/8). Duet in D-Flat Major was written in what could perhaps be best described as a burst of inspiration. After a couple of days of casually juggling some motifs around in my mind, clicked and I woke up with a musical idea that I scrambled to write down as quickly as possible. I spent the majority of that day developing these ideas, and this became what is now the third movement. Some of the ‘leftover ideas’ that didn’t make it into the finale were used as seeds for the second movement - in particular, the motifs at measure 9 and from 70-80. The opening movement ended up being the last one written and begins with a noble and/or heroic fanfare in 6/16. The second movement cautiously meanders through unexpected harmonies, much like someone nervously exploring unfamiliar places. The finale is another fanfare, but has some mischievous fun after turning a few harmonic corners in minor. My goal with this duet was to create a musical universe that has the grandeur of an orchestra with just two voices.  I’ve adapted this duet for a variety of instruments. The score reads as a small flex-band ensemble, but this piece is intended to be performed by just two musicians.Instruments:Part 1 - Clarinet in Bb - Alto Clarinet - Bass Clarinet - Alto Saxophone - Tenor Saxophone in Bb - Baritone Saxophone - Trumpet in Bb - Horn in F - Alto TrombonePart 2 - Bass Clarinet - Bassoon - Baritone Saxophone - Trombone - Bass Trombone - Euphonium (BC and TC) - Tuba.
