I was inspired to create this piano arrangement of TOO YOUNG for my dear friends Evelyn and Carlo who celebrate their wedding anniversary on September 1, 2021. It was their song 65 years ago.  This intermediate piano solo arrangement is written in the key of C; not the original key, but one that may be easier for some piano students. It is clearly and carefully notated with dynamic marks, phrasing, suggested fingerings, pedal indications, chord identifications and appropriate musical terms for playing. The left hand sometimes incorporates arpeggiated patterns made up of 9ths while the right hand utilizes traditional chords and intervals with a touch of jazz harmony. Honor would go well on a Veterans Day or Memorial Day Program, but also as just a concert piece to work on lyrical playing at a young age. This piece directly correlates with the Foundation Warm-Up Series. This series is designed to follow most beginning band methods. The early sets focus primarily on airflow, common patterns, and reinforcing concepts presented in the method books. As the series develops, the sets become more like a traditional band warm-up, including long tones, flexibility exercises, articulation, scale patterns, and a chorale.
