String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1296651 By Geraldine Green. By Geraldine (Denny) Green. Arranged by Geraldine Green. 21st Century,Chamber,Children,Classical. Score and Parts. 20 pages. Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #886828. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1296651). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSRequested by Gary Woolf for the Banda di Musica, this piece is a slightly simplified arrangement of my Septet’s slow 4th movement. The cello solo remains the same apart from the harmonics, which have been transferred as ordinary high notes to a solo violin. This will make the piece much more approachable for younger players. There are two Arrangements; School Arrangement –  Violins 1, 2 and 3 and Cellos 1 and 2. The cello solo is played by the lead cellist and is written on the Cello 1 part.Standard Arrangement – Violins 1 and 2, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. Again, the cello solo is played by the lead cellist.

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813463 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Multicultural,Standards,Wedding,World. 30 pages. Regis Bookshar #6264781. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813463). Canon in D (Pachelbel) (D) (Clarinet Quintet) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This selection, Johann Pachelbel's celebrated Canon in D, is perhaps the most famous canon ever written and has been one of my favorite compositions to arrange. A canon is a polyphonic device in which several voices play the same music, entering in sequence. Pachelbel's Canon in D, was originally written in the key of D Major and was scored for three violins arranged in canon, accompanied by a basso continuo which repeats the same harmonic progression throughout the entire piece. The common musical term for this is ostinato or ground bass. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Clarinet Quintet. Three Clarinets play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other two Clarinets. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (30 pages). This version is written in the key of D Major, as is the original version, but another version is also available, if you prefer, written in the key of Bb Major, to make it a little easier for some younger performers. Other versions of Pachelbel's Canon in D have also been arranged by Regis Bookshar and are available for a wide variety of instrumental Quintets and Octets, in both the keys of D Major and Bb Major. I think that String players would probably prefer to play the versions in the key of D Major while the Brass and Woodwind musicians might prefer to play the Bb Major versions. I hope you take the time to compare the different versions to find the right version for you. To help you decide which version, or versions, you may want to choose, I have included several musical samples for you to listen to and to hear what these arrangements may sound like and so that you may compare the various arrangements. Also, just to let you know, the Octets written in the key of Bb Major have full-length recordings while the Octets in D Major and all Quintets have only the first 25 measures, or so, available to hear. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar which are also available. There are quite a few other arrangements in a variety of styles and I'm certain you will find something else which might interest you as well. Please keep checking because I plan to continue to add new arrangements as often as I can. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D will be a challenge to some performers but will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1300078 By Bee Gees. By Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Country,Disco,Film/TV,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #889845. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1300078). How Can You Mend a Broken Heart is a song released by the Bee Gees in 1971. It was written by Barry and Robin Gibb and was the first single on the group's 1971 album Trafalgar. It was their first US No. 1 single and also reached No. 1 in Cashbox magazine for two weeks. The Bee Gees were a musical group formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful in popular music in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers in the disco music era in the mid- to late 1970s. The group sang recognisable three-part tight harmonies: Robin's clear vibrato lead vocals were a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry's R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the mid- to late 1970s and 1980s. The group wrote all their own original material, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists, and are regarded as one of the most important and influential acts in pop-music history. Bee Gees Lyrics:How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?I can think of younger days when living for my lifeWas everything a man could want to doI could never see tomorrowBut I was never told about the sorrowsAnd, how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round? How can you mend this broken man?How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live againI can still feel the breeze that rustles through the treesAnd misty memories of days gone byWe could never see tomorrowNo one said a word about the sorrowAnd how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round? And how can you mend this broken man?How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live againLa la la la la la, la la la laLa la la la la la, la la la laPlease help me mend my broken heart and let me live againDa da da daDa da da da, da da da da da, da.

Woodwind Ensemble Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813947 Composed by German Folk Song. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #6631487. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813947). Oboe Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of O Christmas Tree, or in German, O Tannenbaum, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts and recitals, and, perhaps, even church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of part (8 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.O Christmas Tree is a German Christmas song based on a traditional folk song which was unrelated to Christmas. The custom of the Christmas tree developed in the course of the 19th century, and the song came to be seen as a Christmas carol. The modern lyrics were written in 1824 by the Leipzig organist, teacher and composer, Ernst Anschutz. A tannenbaum is a fir tree. The lyrics do not actually refer to Christmas or describe a decorated tree. Instead, they refer to the fir's evergreen quality as a symbol of constancy and faithfulness. In this arrangement of O Christmas Tree, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic outline of this familiar song, but has inserted a short interlude, which brings to mind the sound of alphorns, or alpenhorns, instruments which may be made from red pine, or fir trees. and are used by mountain dwellers in the Bavarian Alps. I think that students will enjoy this imitative section in the song. In addition to this version for an Oboe Quintet, there are also other arrangements of O Christmas Tree available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of O Christmas Tree will continue to entertain both performers ands audiences alike for years to come.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489659 Composed by Josef Strauss. Arranged by Albert Schwarzmann. 19th Century,Romantic Period. 70 pages. Edition Schwalbe #1066531. Published by Edition Schwalbe (A0.1489659). Ohne Sorgen (Without Cares), a Polka schnell (Quick Polka) by Josef Strauss, younger brother of the famous king of waltz Johann jr., was composed in 1869,while  passing the summer with the Strauss orchestra in Pavlovsk near St. Petersburg, Russia. It was premiered there on 10 September 1869. As a special feature of this piece,  laughing by the musicians is demanded at certain points in the Trio. This is more difficult to execute with a wind band, as wind players can't laugh and play  simultaneously like string players.  The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra. Is was first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg   conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their Three Kings' Concert on 6 January 2015 in the Grosses Festspielhaus (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria,  repeated on 6 January 2023 by Salzburg Wind Philharmonic and broadcasted both times live by Austrian television. Trailhead Overture - While hiking in Big Bend National Park, I came to a beautiful spot that was the trailhead for several different trails. That was the inspiration for this piece. This should be considered an easier Grade 2. The ranges and rhythms are appropriate for 2nd-year players. Split parts provide more texture and easier access for younger players. The opening should reflect the bigness and majesty of Big Bend. If you haven’t seen it - ï¬nd it! Have fun and thank you for playing this piece.
