I tried to compose this piece so that everyone has something: moving notes, melodic lines etc. Sometimes students feel put down if they only accompany, even if it is of course important skill to learn. This piece is designed so that everyone feels they are involved actively. In fact, the title, Signs of the Times, is actually a play on words of the term time signatures, which is the main gimmick of the piece.
