Ich erhebe meine Hände zu deinen Geboten, die ich liebe.  Je méditerai en vos commandements, que j’ai aimés extrêmement : et je lèverai mes mains vers vos commandements, que j’ai aimés.  I will meditate on thy commandments, which I have loved exceedingly: and I will lift up my hands to thy commandments, which I have loved.

Cello,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1475808 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. 19th Century,Chamber,Historic,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 7 pages. Jmsgu3 #1053366. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1475808). Chopin's Prelude in B minor, Op. 28 No. 6, is significant for its sad and expressive nature, often described as reflecting pure sadness and depression. This Prelude is renowned for its cello-like left-hand melody, evoking the rich tones of a cello and creating a somber atmosphere. The piece is known for its duality of voices, with the right hand providing an echo effect that should be skillfully managed to avoid monotony. George Sand described this prelude as plunging the soul into frightful depression, emphasizing its emotional depth. Notably, this Prelude was played at Chopin's funeral, adding to its historical and emotional significance. The left hand in this prelude carries the melody, resembling the full tones of a cello, while the right-hand plays an accompaniment with repeated upper notes that are integral to the piece. Overall, Chopin's Prelude in B minor, Op. 28 No. 6, stands out for its emotional depth, melancholy melody, and unique cello-like qualities.

Zellev Music #939049. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1354331). Key Signature: B minorTime Signature: 3/4Tempo: Allegro pateticoDifficulty: AdvancedLucijan Å kerjanc (1900-1973) was a Slovenian Composer.Å kerjanc is one of the most important older composers of contemporary Slovene music and is one of the key Slovene musical personalities of the 20th century. He graduated in Ljubljana and studied music in Prague, Vienna (Joseph Marx), Paris (Schola cantorum) and Basel (Felix Weingartner). He spent many years teaching composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, teaching composers such as Nada Ludvig-PeÄar, Zvonimir CigliÄ and Janez MatiÄiÄ whilst serving as a chancellor for a period and was a pianist, conductor, music writer, and director of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra based in the country's capital. His style reflected late romanticism with qualities of expressionism and impressionism in his pieces, often with a hyperbolic artistic temperament, juxtaposing the dark against melodic phrases in his music.Å kerjanc was liberal in his attitude to music and multifaceted in his works. Whilst musically diverse, his opus centred on composition, varying from piano miniatures and solos for beginners, and solo and chamber works to full blown concertos and symphonies. Apart from sonatas, he notably composed a cycle of seven nocturnes, which many consider his greatest piano oriented work, and seven orchestral pieces Gazele (Ghazels). He not only composed for the piano but also the violin, the clarinet and the bassoon in 1952. During his life he also wrote for international composers and composed the film scores for a number of films under Yugoslavia.

Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.809406 By Simon And Garfunkel. By Paul Simon. Arranged by Academia Unimusica. Pop,Rock. Score. 1 pages. Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) #6251769. Published by Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) (A0.809406). The Sound of Silence, originally The Sounds of Silence, is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over several months in 1963 and 1964. A studio audition led to the duo signing a record deal with Columbia Records, and the original 'acoustic' version of the song was recorded in March 1964 at Columbia Studios in New York City and included on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.. Released on October 19, 1964,[2] the album was a commercial failure and led to the duo disbanding; Simon returned to England, and Art Garfunkel to his studies at Columbia University. In 1965, the song began to attract airplay at radio stations in Boston, Massachusetts, and throughout Florida. The growing airplay led Tom Wilson, the song's producer, to remix the track, overdubbing electric instruments and drums. This remixed version was released as a single in September 1965. Simon & Garfunkel were not informed of the song's remix until after its release. The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending January 1, 1966, leading the duo to reunite and hastily record their second album, which Columbia titled Sounds of Silence in an attempt to capitalize on the song's success. The remixed single version of the song was included on this follow-up album. It was featured in the 1967 film The Graduate and was included on the film's soundtrack album. It was additionally released on the Mrs. Robinson 'EP' in 1968, along with three other songs from the film: Mrs. Robinson, April Come She Will and Scarborough Fair/Canticle. The song was a top-ten hit in multiple countries worldwide, among them Australia, Austria, West Germany, Japan and the Netherlands. Generally considered a classic folk rock song, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically important in 2012, along with the rest of the Sounds of Silence album. Originally titled The Sounds of Silence on the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., the song was shortened for later compilations, beginning with the 1972 compilation album Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits.[3]

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828225 Composed by Southern Harmony. Arranged by Paul Thurmond. Christian,Gospel,Jazz,Sacred. Score. 3 pages. Paul Thurmond #4968921. Published by Paul Thurmond (A0.828225). Tune: RESIGNATIONUse: Prelude, Offertory, PostludeA couple of years ago I read an interview with director Ridley Scott about his first commercially successful film, Alien. It’s a terrific science fiction/horror movie set on a large spaceship, with a predatory creature who is hunting down the human crew one by one. In the interview, Scott talked about the fact that there were scenes he wanted to film and effects he wanted to use, but his small budget prevented him from doing so. Instead, he was forced to make do with limited time and materials. Alien became a hit, and Scott went on to direct blockbusters like Gladiator and Hannibal. What stuck with me was what Scott said about creativity. It is his opinion that the budgetary constraints under which he operated when making Alien forced him to explore ideas and methods he wouldn’t have otherwise considered. Even though he would later make movies with ten times the budget, he’s extremely proud of what he and his team did with far more limited resources. When I started writing My Shepherd Will Supply My Need, I decided to give myself a big constraint: I would only be allowed to use the white keys of the piano. This is very different for me; I usually throw in some juicy harmonies. It was an interesting process, and I have to say that I agree with Ridley Scott: limits spark creativity. I’m going to look for other ways to apply this principle.I did go over budget slightly, and used one black key. Every flock has its black sheep, right?
