Cello,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1506704 Composed by Adolphe-Charles Adam. Arranged by Harry Walker. 19th Century,Chamber,Christmas,Contest,Festival,Holiday. Score and part. 12 pages. SCORE EDITIONS #1082067. Published by SCORE EDITIONS (A0.1506704). Composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847, O Holy Night is one of the most beloved Christmas songs in classical music. The original lyrics, written in French by Placide Cappeau, were commissioned for a Christmas service in a small French town. In 1855, John Sullivan Dwight, an American abolitionist, translated the song into English. Dwight viewed the song’s message as a metaphor for the fight against slavery, which contributed to its popularity in the United States. In this version, the composition was arranged for Cello and Piano by Harry Walker.

Cello,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.871120 Composed by Paul S. Jones. Arranged by Paul S. Jones. Folk,Sacred. Score and part. 8 pages. Paul S. Jones #5374325. Published by Paul S. Jones (A0.871120). This is an engaging setting of the lovely Appalachian tune {Beech Spring} (sometimes errantly called  Beach Spring) for cello and piano. Not for the novice cellist, the chords and double stops will challenge even better players, but the result is a work that sounds truly American. Since this tune is used with several hymn texts, it can be fittingly played in church, but would work equally well in a recital or concert of almost any type. About 4 minutes duration.Demo Recording is by Matthew Genders, cello; Paul Jones, piano.
