Thanks, John.  He'll Have to Go is an American country and pop hit recorded on October 15, 1959, by Jim Reeves. The song, released in the fall of 1959, went on to become a massive hit in both genres early in 1960. The song is about a man who's talking by telephone to the woman he loves, when he realizes that another man is with her. The recording features a small group of musicians: Floyd Cramer on piano, Marvin Hughes on the vibraphone, Bob Moore on bass, Buddy Harman on drums, Hank Garland on guitar, and the Anita Kerr Singers providing the background vocals. Country music historian Bill Malone noted that He'll Have to Go in most respects represented a conventional country song, but its arrangement and the vocal chorus put this recording in the country pop vein. In addition, Malone lauded Reeves' vocal styling - lowered to its natural resonant level to project the caressing style that became famous - as being why many people refer to him as the singer with the velvet touch..

Arranged by Kevin Hall. Barbershop,Hip-Hop,Pop,R & B,Rock,Standards. 8 pages. Eine kleine Saxmusik #795015. Published by Eine kleine Saxmusik (A0.1195850). One of the most recognizable Doo-Wop songs from the mid-50s, your audience will be singing along as you end your set or gig with this old classic.  As soon as people hear the signature bass line played on the bari that starts the song, they'll start tapping their toes and coming over to hear the group perform.  This arrangement includes an alternate soprano part for the lead, and an alternate bass sax part for the bari to be able to fit almost any sax quartet configuration.  Enjoy!(Copyrighted pieces apparently have some diff. policies from original/public domain:I apologize for the minimum price--it's set by ArrangeMe.  Contact me at kevinqhall at netscape dot net, and I'll be happy to give you credit toward another piece. Also, the sample cuts off at 30 secs.  I loaded the whole song.  If you'd like to hear more of the sample, email me (at the address above), and I'll be happy to send you the sound sample. In addition, I'm unable to edit the title or performer.  My preferences (the original title/performer!!) would be:Title:  Goodnite, Sweetheart, Goodnite (Goodnight, It's Time To Go) - arr. for Sax Quartet A(S)ATB(Bs)Original Performer:  The Spaniels).
