Originally in E♭m, I have thoughtfully written the parts so that it can easily be played up one semitone in Em. There’s a lovely section featuring some jeté bowing in the second violin later on which could easily be simplified for less experienced players. This catchy, uptempo, Hi-NRG dance-pop anthem featured in the highly successful first Pitch Perfect film, with Ester Dean (who wrote it) nailing that iconic intro. S&M peaked at number one in ten countries in addition to the United States while peaking within the top five in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Ireland. As one of Rihanna’s most memorable songs, it’s sure to be recognised by many. Important: Included: Score and set of parts in E♭m and Em.
