Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.938016 Composed by Liz Nedela. Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Score. 28 pages. Liz Nedela #6114751. Published by Liz Nedela (A0.938016). Mood Suite  is a set of five piano solos depicting moods that we all experience: Restless, Peaceful, Mood Swings (Monkey Thoughts), Anger, Fun (Dance-Crazy Waltz).  The set began as a commission for the Billings (MT) Music Teachers Association (1986) and has been used in several variations for specific events; some have changed titles, but all remain the same music. All have been enjoyed by students, teachers, and professional pianists!  The set is comprised of teaching pieces, each in its own scale and style. The title changes have been influenced by the purpose of the event (i.e. see PDX), as well as nicknames by students or performers; (i.e. Mood Swings became Monkey Thoughts; Fun became Dance and then Crazy Waltz).  Have fun with these pieces!  Interpret them to fit your own moods!  NOTE: The recording is a live performance of Restless, Peaceful, Crazy Waltz, used in the concert for PDX.  Mood Swings and Anger recordings can be obtained at no charge from the composer.  Also Note: some pieces are sold separately.

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Organ,Soprano Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.981222 Composed by Judith Cloud. Contemporary. Score and parts. 24 pages. Judith Cloud #6690537. Published by Judith Cloud (A0.981222). What Would Nina Simone Say? For Soprano Sax and Organ (9'50)Program NotesI became interested in Nina Simone in the spring of 2018. She was born Eunice Waymon in Tryon, North Carolina, my own hometown. I knew little about her while I was growing up. Later I heard she was an activist and the sentiment around town I observed was that there was far from a feeling of pride about who Nina Simone was. If that really was the case (and I have no proof of it) there was a dramatic change with the creation of The Nina Simone Project in 2006. I was still ignorant of this, having lived in Arizona for most of my adult life. But researching Simone led me to an immense feeling of pride for my hometown when I read about the support she had from the white community in the 1940’s. Without that encouragement and financial support, as well as artistic support from a local piano teacher, Muriel Mazzanovich, Mrs. Mazzy, as she was called and who Nina treasured and respected all of her life, Nina Simone would never have reached the world with her unique prodigious musical talent. She was a diva by all counts and her original compositions reflect a balance of words with music that is far superior to what her contemporaries were creating. A bronze sculpture of her by Zenos Frudakis now stands on Main Street in Tryon. How can you be an artist and not reflect the times? Simone asked in an interview. That to me is the definition of an artist. The feminist writer Germaine Greer declared Every generation has to discover Nina Simone. She is evidence that female genius is real. What would Nina Simone say today? I think she’d be mad as hell and screaming about revolution, probably still advocating for the use of violence. I’ve used some of Simone’s energetic and compelling motives in this composition. It is my own tribute to her genius and to how she gave to the world so much even though she was plagued with agonizing physical and mental ailments. That suffering seems to me an undercurrent in each video I have watched of her concerts. What I would give to have been in her presence for one of those concerts! She embodied music as an art form, revering her musical teachers, Bach, especially. That she never achieved her main goal of becoming the first female African-American classical pianist of world stature is perhaps not so sad when you think of how many more people she moved with her talent expressed in jazz and folk popular idioms. But she was prone to violence and many people, even those closest to her, were often fearful of her rage. She was misunderstood for so many years and it was only in the last two decades of her life that her moods were somewhat controlled through use of prescription drugs. The musical life that began for Eunice Waymon when she was seven years old playing the piano and organ for services at St. Luke’s C.M.E. Church (where her mother was the preacher) in Tryon, N.C. traversed many cities in many countries. She died at the age of 70 in 2003 in Carry-le-Rouet, France.

Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1227412 By Ed Sheeran. By Ed Sheeran, Fred Gibson, Max Martin, and Shellback. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Chords/Lyrics. 2 pages. B. McCormick #823390. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1227412). ||Get ready to play and sing along to Eyes Closed by Ed Sheeran with our Lead Sheet music!|| This minimalistic arrangement features the melody line, lyrics, and chord symbols, giving you all the essential elements you need to play the song with ease. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, this Lead Sheet is perfect for anyone looking to play Eyes Closed in a simple and straightforward way. So grab your sheet music and get ready to make some beautiful music! ||Notes On the Sheet Music|| -Melody- The melody alters slightly on repeating for subsequent verses etc. These are notated using smaller bracketed note heads and should only be played/sung on the appropriate repeats. The decision was made to not notate the final chorus as sung however when performed/sung the final chorus could be ad-libbed to emulate the original should the performer desire.-Guitar Strumming- There is a suggested strumming pattern/rhythm contained within the intro. This will fit with the song but feel free to come up with your own! This is to be an aid for learners and a resource for teachers. -Structure- The sheet music follows the structure of the song as heard in the recording. If the repeats are not obvious each section (Verse/PreChorus/Chorus) is marked by boxed texts for ease of navigation. I have also provided a tab for the riff which persists throughout the piece in the intro section. -Length- One of my main aims in arranging popular titles is to make the effort to try and minimise the amount of pages required. As a Musician I hate having pages and pages of music that could have been condensed using repeats and other structure markings. This arrangement fully utilises these and this is part of the reason why the decision was made note to notate the final chorus as sung in the recording. As this is a lead sheet it hold all the info to play this song in two pages.  -Alternatives- If you need more info in your music I have two other arrangements of this. Both are Voice, Piano, and Guitar Arrangements, the first with the melody above a simple piano accompaniment with the Guitar chords the second is a piano reduction of this arrangement with alterations so that it is playable on the piano. For these arrangements and others that I have done you can click on my publisher link above, B.McCormick. That will take you to all of my arrangements on site. ||About Ed Sheeran|| Ed Sheeran is an award-winning singer-songwriter known for his soulful and introspective lyrics. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033403 Composed by Adam Geibel, Evan Stephens, Grace Gordon, and Will L. Thompson. Arranged by Stacey Oakes. Christian,Gospel,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 12 pages. Stacey Oakes at Whiting Publishing #3878753. Published by Stacey Oakes at Whiting Publishing (A0.1033403). Good for Missionary or Youth Musical Numbers - Soprano/Tenor or Men/Women Choirs This medley was written upon request for a missionary's send-off! It's great for: - Church Services - Missionary Farewells and Homecomings - Firesides - Youth Choirs - Adult Choirs - Soprano and Tenor Duet Purpose/Message: The medley's purpose is to invigorate us and to encourage us to be brave in sharing truth. It emphasizes the concepts of pressing on, having courage, and not fearing. Difficulty: Medium (There are some independent singing sections, some notes at the top of the soprano and tenor range, and a couple spots with less typical harmonies. It is, however, not a difficult piece overall. Those who are accustomed to singing in choirs will have no trouble but will be challenged enough to enjoy the piece.) Range: The notes are within range for a somewhat experienced or serious singer. If using in a choir, you can have the higher notes sung one octave lower by those out of range, or add a harmonic note as needed. There are only a couple of instances where this might be needed. Solutions to Problems: If you have youth afraid to go on missions, this song will help them take courage and be brave. If you have adults who are faltering from fear (as all do on occasion), it is hoped this song will bolster their courage and resolve.   Duration of Work: This medley is approximately 4:12 minutes long. Performing Rights Organization: The composer is a member of BMI. Contact Information: You can contact the composer through MyMusicStash.blogspot.com. Some of her works are also posted on Instagram @LDSSheetMusic Called to Serve: Grace Gordon, Adam Geibel; Let Us All Press On: Evan Stephens; Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel: Will L. Thompson.

1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1485605 Composed by Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf. Arranged by Allan Badley. Classical. Score. 67 pages. Artaria Editions #1062670. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1485605). The parts are marked carefully although Dittersdorf is not over-detailed in his instructions to the performers. One major lacuna exists in the score: the primo part is missing from bar 42 to 129 in the Finale, in narrative terms, from the rage which culminates in Ajax stabbing himself with Achilles' sword to the miraculous appearance of the purple flowers. The editor has completed this section, basing it in part on earlier material and also on the clues provided in the secondo part. Otherwise, the edition presents few problems: the style and notation of articulation and dynamic markings have been standardised throughout and, where missing from the source, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets where appropriate. Like most eighteenth-century sources, the manuscript is at times inconsistent in its notation of appoggiature; these too have been standardised to minimise confusion. Obvious wrong notes have been corrected without comment; editorial emendations with no authority from the source are placed within brackets. Allan Badley.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1458174 By Andrew McDonald. By Andrew McDonald. Arranged by Andrew McDonald. Blues,Christian,Country. Score. 8 pages. Andrew Mc Donald (Macka Records) #1037148. Published by Andrew Mc Donald (Macka Records) (A0.1458174). Close the door is a song about praying on your knees when you have a prayer need. As we can have hectic schedules and are very busy with the kids and a job we often neglect praying or put it off cause we don't have time and cannot get to it cause we have no space. But a good suggestion would be to go to your room and close the door nice and tight behind you morning night or day so that you can pray. When you do this your father in heaven will see this and reward you with an answered prayer. Trumpet features throughout this piece. This is a piano and vocal score.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987080 Composed by Eric Paul Nolte. Contemporary. Score. 12 pages. Eric Paul Nolte #566749. Published by Eric Paul Nolte (A0.987080). This piece is one of an album of my contemporary classical compositions. Yes, I too wince at offering you something saddled with this oxymoron--contemporary classical--but this phrase is now an irresistible, commercially recognized category defying any principled protest from the ranks of wounded musicological curmudgeons like me.  The style here employs a tonal palette that celebrates the more or less common practice of composers from J. S. Bach to Ravel, Prokofiev, and the 20th century American songbook.  You will see that I reject Arnold Schoenberg's assertion that by 1910 tonality had exhausted itself, and needed to be reinvented according to an aesthetics that dismiss our scales and harmonies as purely arbitrary human conventions with no basis in nature. On the contrary, I believe that we are endowed by our nature to respond emotionally to our traditional materials of music in the same way as nature equips us to respond to the taste of food and drink. We differ in our taste for savory, sweet, and sour, but it is wrong to say that our very capacity to taste is a merely cultural convention. There is biology, and then physics too! By the same standard, it can't be true that one person's taste for arsenic is as valid as another's taste for beer or kumquats. The major triad is a force of nature, like the sun, wind, and rain! I also like big fat juicy 13 chords, and contrapuntal weaving of melody! I believe the purpose of music is to sway us emotionally, and if it can uplift us too, so much the better! While I am not ashamed to write a bare triad, unadorned by chromatic alterations (much less by clusters of chord collisions) I have nevertheless employed much complicated harmony. Moreover, some passages are written in a spiky harmony that might be analyzed as bitonal, as at the meno mosso section, beginning at measure 112, where the mood I wanted to set inspired me to write the theme in C minor while the left hand climbs up from the bottom of the keyboard in a widely spaced, D-flat 13 arpeggio.  I have composed these pieces with the skills of intermediate to early-advanced pianists in mind. This piece demands the ability to play some counterpoint between two voices in one hand. There is a section that requires one to play moderately fast octaves, but nothing as difficult as the G minor Prelude of Chopin (to say nothing of his harrowing octave Etude from Opus 25!) While there are many polyrhythmic passages, none is more complicated than two-against-three notes. All said, there is nothing here to make your hands (or, I dare say, your ears) bleed. The performing time is around nine minutes and a breath or three. I have a number of videos posted on YouTube.com, I have a website under construction, ericpaulnolte.com, and, since 2011, an occasional blog of my ravings on life, love, and the cosmos, at ericpaulnolte.blogspot.com. You may write me at nolte0125@gmail.com.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1028348 Composed by Cris Garcia. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 29 pages. Cris Garcia #3482125. Published by Cris Garcia (A0.1028348). This is the most beautiful Piece I have ever made. When I was working on a Garageband, I wanted to make an orchestration music piece. I do wanted to make it simple and Making it a lot of beautiful sounds. I like to add sound effects of this piece and making it sound like a realistic Area. For example at a rainforest, you are in the woods in the rainforest, Yes it is cloudy and rainy with thunder sounds, and no one is there to rescue you. you are alone and lost. So I was thinking of making this melody to make it sound beautiful. After I have finished making this song, It was for my assignment, The professor of my digital Audio Class enjoyed it and wanted me to keep it because of how beautiful it was. So I wanted to compose it and write the music down and I'll let the full orchestra to play this beautiful song. I know that it is kind of an unhappy piece. It is entirely in G Minor. However, the Music that I made in the DAW and the Scoring are not gonna have the same melody. It will be the same piece, but it will have a little bit of changes.   .

Cello,Flute,Harpsichord,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1487810 Composed by Leopold Hofmann. Arranged by Allan Badley. Classical. 48 pages. Artaria Editions #1064748. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1487810). Artaria Editions AE198For flute, violin, cello, harpsichord, and basso (usually a second cello)The present work was advertised by Breitkopf (Supplement IV) in 1769 along with two of the composer's keyboard concerti. Most of Hofmann's keyboard music appears to date from his years as Hofklaviermeister (1769-1774) and we can assume that a good deal of it was intended as teaching material. In the circumstances it is tempting to suggest that this attractive and unusually-scored work was composed for Hofmann's imperial pupils and that Joseph II perhaps played the cello part in a domestic concert at court. This edition is based on a set of MS parts now preserved in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin under the shelfmark Mus.ms. 10733/3. The wrapper reads: 'A/ Concertino / a / Cembalo / Flauto Traverso / Violino / Violoncello / e / Basso / del Sigr. Leop: Hoffmann / Grave' . The intended 'basso' instrument is uncertain but in all likelihood it was played by a second cello. In the absence of both the autograph score and an authentic set of parts, this edition presents as faithfully as possible the intentions of the composer as transmitted in the Berlin copy. The simple continuo realisation, printed here in smaller type, has been added by a later hand and is certainly not the work of the composer. As is often the case in Hofmann's chamber music there are few dynamic markings in the parts although considerable care is taken with articulation. The style and notation of these have been standardised throughout, and, where missing from the source, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets. Like most eighteenth-century sources, the present manuscript is inconsistent at times in its notation of appoggiature ; these too have been standardised to minimise confusion. Obvious wrong notes have been corrected without comment; editorial emendations with no authority from the source are placed within brackets. Allan Badley.

Bill ORANGE Lyons #813977. Published by Bill ORANGE Lyons (A0.1217428). This piece includes the Orangeman's CAD (Composer, Artist, Director) notes/suggestions. This may answer some of the questions you may have regarding the piece. Keep in mind these notes are merely suggestions. I found having talked to a music teacher or two, some appreciate the guidance these notes/suggestions provide. S-SB (III) sounds more difficult than it actually is. I wanted the piece to be interesting but not so far outside as to wake up Miles Davis. I think you will find the dissonance and syncopation interesting without upsetting. It is my favorite of the five arragements I have created. It does go to 3/4 for a couple of measures but that just wakes people up. If you have an excellent high school choir, you'll have no problem with this one. (If it's too difficult, may I suggest my arrangement, Star-Spangled Banner (I) available through UNCJazzPress.com).
