1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1485605 Composed by Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf. Arranged by Allan Badley. Classical. Score. 67 pages. Artaria Editions #1062670. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1485605). The parts are marked carefully although Dittersdorf is not over-detailed in his instructions to the performers. One major lacuna exists in the score: the primo part is missing from bar 42 to 129 in the Finale, in narrative terms, from the rage which culminates in Ajax stabbing himself with Achilles' sword to the miraculous appearance of the purple flowers. The editor has completed this section, basing it in part on earlier material and also on the clues provided in the secondo part. Otherwise, the edition presents few problems: the style and notation of articulation and dynamic markings have been standardised throughout and, where missing from the source, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets where appropriate. Like most eighteenth-century sources, the manuscript is at times inconsistent in its notation of appoggiature; these too have been standardised to minimise confusion. Obvious wrong notes have been corrected without comment; editorial emendations with no authority from the source are placed within brackets. Allan Badley.

Piano,Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792292 Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by Trevarthen, Robert. Baroque,Classical,Romantic Period. Score and part. 91 pages. Gordon Cherry #4803915. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792292). Haydn composed over 100 compositions, each in three movements, for his wealthy employer Nicolas Esterhazy, who played the six-string instrument called a Baryton, which in shape looked much like our modern day cello, but, of course, with six rather the cello four strings. His original scores were composed of three lines: the solo part, an inner filler part for viola and a bass part. I have realized the piano part. These transcriptions were created to give the solo trombonist an experience with classical music. The music is in an elegant style and a joy to perform as arranged by Mr. Trevarthen. The six works included in the collection are as follows: No. 2 in G (Theme and Variations)No. 26 in F No. 49 in F No. 55 in F No. 77 in F No. 95 in B-flat The works are between 6 and 9 minutes in length each and suitable for moderately advanced performers.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553098 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Scott Camp. 20th Century,Concert,Graduation,Standards,Wedding. Score. 13 pages. Scott Camp #3909193. Published by Scott Camp (A0.553098). Possibly the most beautiful piece of music ever. This edition presents Debussy's masterpiece with as close to 100% clarity as possible:  no arrangement, no simplification, no abridgement, only solutions to the challenges of how to play this amazing masterpiece.  In my experience, I would guess that Clair de lune has been the final, unfulfilled and unattained goal of piano students more than any other piece in music history. If you recognize the truth in this statement, you owe it to yourself to investigate this edition, in which for the first time, all of the technical challenges are clearly identified with their solutions.  Playing a piece of music is not the same as mastering it.  Surviving a performance is not the same as playing with confidence.  There is no joy in being vulnerable to embarrassing mistakes.  It is no way to live.  You deserve a set of instructions (this edition) that enables you to master your performance, play with confidence and beauty, not an edition which blocks your access.Clair de Lune is so familiar that it is hard to appreciate just how revolutionary it (and Debussy) are.  The word revolutionary is overused, so we fail to realize that Clair de Lune is difficult to play largely because it was difficult to notate.  If the faculty of the Paris Conservatory didn't understand or appreciate Debussy, why would we expect the staff of a publishing company (as competent as they were) to understand the demands of his music.  Debussy broke the boundaries of conventional piano notation.  That means contradictions and ambiguity, which must be addressed.A note about fingering:  where and why it is or is not presented.  I've done my best to prepare an edition of this music that will enable the Intermediate Classical pianist to prepare and perform this masterpiece.  My goal is to include information that the pianist needs, but does not already know.  For Claire de Lune, some passages are dependent upon specific hand/fingering solutions, while other passages are either (1) equally playable with different fingering, or (2) only playable by what essentially becomes known as a self-evident solution.  For example, m9-24, and m61-62, fall into this category.  Octaves can only practically be played with fingers 1 and 5.  I provide a lot of finger numbers, but that is not the same as  creating an edition that can be played without significant staff reading.  The premise is that an intermediate musician should have access to advanced material--that is a musician is motivated to play pieces one level more advanced.  Attempting to bridge more than one level is not my goal.

Instructional. Score and parts. 129 pages. Dots and Beams #5313613. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931837). This book provides its user with a series of notes on a treble staff with no rhythm values and no meter. Chapters are organized by the placement of the notes relative to the staff; on the staff, above the staff, below the staff, on and above the staff, and on and below the staff. For each pitch range there is one chapter with no accidentals and one chapter with accidentals. All exercises have a space at the beginning of each staff to write in a key signature, allowing each exercise to be read in all keys and used in many ways. The aim with this book is to allow the user to focus specifically on exercises centred around pitch without the distraction of rhythmic values or time signatures. This can begin with the practice of sight-reading but can expand to include many other learning goals. The diatonic sets contain notes with no accidentals or key signature. These collections can be read as written, using only natural notes, or in any of the 15 key signatures from 7 flats to 7 sharps. Chromatic collections include sharp and flat notes as well as natural ones. The later exercises in these chapters increase the difficulty by including B#, Cb, E#, and Fb. Ledger line chapters start with the first ledger line and gradually expand away from the staff. Exercises above the staff reach up to the space above the fifth ledger line while exercises below reach down to the space below the third. The random nature of the notes in these exercises is intentional; it forces the user to pay attention to each note and makes the exercises very difficult to memorize, ensuring that they will still present a challenge even after multiple readings. It’s important when sight-reading to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a single exercise for a long time. This will ensure that you’re strengthening your ability to read the notes rather than just memorizing the exercises. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Gain comfort reading the notes and finding them on your instrument in no particular rhythm or tempo. A greater challenge can be achieved by playing them at a steady tempo or by playing them in a simple rhythmic pattern. Beginner students can begin by writing in the note names. Play each exercise in all 15 key signatures. Advanced theory students and improvising musicians can also use these exercises to practice identifying scale degrees in various keys or playing chords built on every scale degree in the chosen key. Develop comfort with chords by playing a chord built on each note in the exercise. For example: for each note in the exercise, play the major chord with that root. Increase the difficulty with different chord qualities or different chord tones, for example: for every note, play the minor 7th chord in which the given note is the 3rd. Practice transposing into different keys. This is an especially useful challenge for people who play transposing instruments such as brass and woodwind instruments. Chapters with wide ranges can present a great exercise for musicians who play instruments where large leaps are a challenge. People who play strings, mallet percussion, piano, woodwinds, and brass would be among those who would benefit from practising these awkward leaps and falls. As with any of the Dots and Beams books, the uses for this particular collection are limited only by the imagination of the musician using it. I highly encourage anybody using this book to find as many uses for it as possible. My hope is that as you grow as a musician you will find ever more creative and challenging ways to use these materials so that you can return to these books for years.

Lever Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1380924 Composed by Rachael Acheson. Classical,Film/TV,Halloween,Medieval,Spiritual. Score. 3 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #965699. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1380924). This is my first original composition for small solo harp. I like to think it gives spooky filmscore / Wednesday Addams vibes, with a neoclassical air, while still remaining very accessible to a less-experienced musician with a small, simple, or budget instrument. It is in the key of A minor (i.e. no sharps or flats) with no lever changes. It should also already fit the range of most common small harp models, including Harpsicle harps (even if your model has no levers!), Roosebeck Pakistani harps (it goes no lower than the F below middle C), Harp-E harps (it goes no higher than your high E), Dusty Strings Ravenna, Musicmakers Sonnet Lap Harp, and others. It can also, obviously, be played on any and all larger harp models.Played at full-speed, some of the turn-arounds in the right-hand, as well as the octave jump in the middle, can prove tricky (as you can see from my own playing in the video!). But played under tempo and more expressively, it could be accessible even to beginner/early-intermediate harpists, so long as you are learning to replace fingers and change directions. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score. Also note: If the preview shows a 4/4 timing, this is a software rendering error. I have already uploaded a new pdf with the correct preview, in 3/4 waltz time. But know, in the meantime, that the actual, full score itself is, and has always been, rendered correctly in 3/4 timing.

Https://www.michaelbarreraflute.com/flute/etudes-tableauxProgram NotesRachmaninoff's Etudes Tableaux are two sets of piano etudes.  These are “picture pieces,” intended to be studies in musical composition focused on a variety of themes.  Each etude explores a distinct scene left to the listener’s interpretation.   Op. 33 No. 4, Moderato – This march begins and ends with an open fifth echo-like motif.  As the movement progresses, it gains more textural and harmonic complexity.   Op. 39 No. 8, Allegro Moderato – This lyrical piece has long legato melodies, requiring precision and agility from the performer.   Op. 39 No. 4, Allegro Assai – Filled with harmonic color and interweaved motives, this gavotte is pointed and energetic.   Op 39 No. 7, Lento Lugubre – Slow and laborious, the funeral march is dense with emotion, ending with a glorious bell-like theme.   Op. 33 No. 6, Allegro con Fuoco - “The Fair” is exuberant in its rhythm and harmony.  The fanfare motifs have a jubilant energy.   InstrumentationFlute Quintet -2 Flutes2 Alto Flutes1 Bass Flute.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.787259 Composed by Greg Bartholomew. Concert,Contemporary,Folk,Standards. Octavo. 10 pages. Burke & Bagley #49725. Published by Burke & Bagley (A0.787259). An Open World, When I Land and And the Wind are three settings of poems from Fletcher LaVallee Bartholomew's collection entitled And the Wind: Gnostic Poems 1945 - 1979.  When I Land is duration ca. 5 minutes. Minneapolis native Fletcher Bartholomew spent most of his life in aviation, beginning with a childhood flight in a Curtis Robin in 1929. His work in aviation started with a job as an inspector in an aircraft factory. He went on to become a test pilot in World War II, serving at the South India Air Depot at Bangalore, India. He often spoke later of his experience on the ship to India and the people he met travelling around the subcontinent. He subsequently worked in aviation in Munich, Germany, and in Lima, Peru, before he concluded his career working in airport planning and management. Follow along in the score as you listen to a performance in this video:  https://youtu.be/8ZmbFg3jI6s  TEXT: I fly da Vinci's dream on wings of speed,With effortless delight I cleave the air, Free in the boundless realm of sky, I feed My soul with wonder, questions seeming fair.  Why brought forth to wander on this earth? Why given this brief breath of life, To wonder at our enigmatic birth, To reach for stars, want reason for the strife. Yet, being here, why try to find a plan? Why waste time in thought before we go? Is not life enough for any man? How many have, as theirs, my answer, No. When I set foot again upon the land, And darkness gains upon the setting of the sun, I long to feel the welcome of your hand In mine, to rest, let Time its silly cycles run, Life's nights are all too few. No other hand, no other's look, no other one, Can bring that peace to mind or heart or soul, No peace. Although I know there's always fun In life, to reach that sublime goal, I must return to you.
