Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PC-0015659_BC. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PC-0015659_BC). UPC: 038081280899.In his James Bond Medley arrangement, Victor LA3pez shows that the 007 agent is alive and well. The medley features five classic hits, the James Bond Theme, For Your Eyes Only, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, and No Body Does It Better. Although this arrangement is written for intermediate full orchestra, it has been scored in such a way that it will also sound as effective with strings only. Careful considerations have been given to tonality and rhythmical issues as related to the strings. Bowings have also been included to facilitate playability. For more additional flexibility, solo parts have been cued throughout. With solid scoring, adequate ranges and classic selections, this James Bond Medley is a sure winner! (9:23).

Instrumental Duet Bass Clarinet,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844466 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 4 pages. Phil Beaman #3384667. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844466). This beautiful tune was written by Felix Mendlessohn in 1845. He titled it Moderato in Bm when it was first published as Op 67 No 5 in a volume of his Songs Without Words. It was often referred to as Heide Lied , a type of pastoral German folk song. Another title derived from that is Song of the Heather. Many current editions give it the title The Shepherd's Complaint.  This instrumental duet arrangement takes a Romantic piece and sets it in 2 part writing. Even without the chords it is still very rich in sound and Romantic in feel. The metre is always in 3 even when the phrasing looks to be in 2; except for a section near the end where I have strayed from the original Mendlessohn and clearly marked Part II with tenutos to be in 2 against Part I in 3. I have also changed phrasing and articulation for more contrast between the two parts. This arrangement is faithful to the spirit of Mendlessohn yet freshens this beautiful old melody. The notes and rhythms are quite easy to play but I have marked it Early Intermediate because so much could be done with phrasing, articulation, and expression that would make this sound like a much more advanced piece. A great Romantic repertoire piece for students. (2 page score, 1 page Parts)

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1292494 By Brian Golden. By Brian Golden. Arranged by Brian Golden. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Brian Golden #883011. Published by Brian Golden (A0.1292494). Prelude 22 in B Minor Phrygian from 24 Preludes for the Piano in Major and Minor Modes by composer Brian Golden   The creative concept in writing these preludes is to provide a link to past preludes written for the keyboard, and in particular to the works of J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, whose works stand as essential repertoire for any student of the piano.  Using Bach’s and Chopin’s examples, my goal was to compose in all twenty-four keys, yet offer my own variation on the progression of key signatures – Bach’s being a pattern of major to parallel minor progressing chromatically through all keys, and Chopin’s a pattern of major to relative minor keys progressing clockwise through the circle of fifths.  In order to expand my harmonic and melodic possibilities, I have included the modal keys rather than only the major and harmonic minor keys, and have chosen to work counterclockwise through the circle of fifths, which is a more natural harmonic progression.  Therefore, all major preludes resolve from one to another V-I, as well as do all the minor preludes.    While there are seven modal scales, I decided to leave out the locrian modes for the following reasons.  First, due to the diminished fifth, the locrian mode cannot be thought of as either major nor minor.  Second, the locrian mode did not have a relative key to pair with, since there were no other keys with the identical characteristic notes.    In creating the key architecture, I determined that there was only one solution to pairing major and relative minor scales based on a shared parent key and characteristic note - ionian/aolian, mixolydian/phrygian and lydian/dorian.  This specific order of modal scales is the only order that would enable composing in all twelve key signatures.  Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.

Text by Charly Moody when he was 12 years old.  The Mountain That Is Mine   If you ever climb the mountain where the sun glints off the rocks, If you ever climb the mountain which is circled by the hawks, If you ever climb the mountain where it's warm all day, Then you have climbed the mountain on top of which I lay.   If you ever see the place where the cactus always grows, If you ever see the place of which nobody knows, If you ever see the place where the giant rivers run, Then you have seen the place where I am basking in the sun.   If you ever hear the stream gurgling by If you ever hear of the place where no animals will die, If you ever hear the talk of a most difficult climb, Then you have heardof the mountain that is mine.   Charlie Moody Fall, 2006

Instrumental Duet Clarinet,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797820 By Bread. By David Gates. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Pop. Score and parts. 13 pages. Derek Hasted #6348733. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797820). IF (David Gates/Bread) Bb CLARINET and GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This simple but charming melody has a guitar accompaniment that uses a clever mixture of stopped and open strings to create a campanella effect. Many of the arrangements that are out there don’t have same notes as the original, and therefore some of the cleverness and simplicity of the original gets lost. This arrangement uses the same shapes as the original, and there’s guitar and tablature as well guitar notation only so that you can easily see that almost all the measures in the music have the same right hand fingering, despite the mix of open and stopped strings making the score look much more complex than it actually is!The original key makes for undue complexity in the clarinet part, so I have arranged the piece to be played by the guitar with a Capo on fret one, so that all the clever shapes can be retained, and the piece moved from 5 sharps in the Clarinet to no sharps. In both the score and the tablature the fingering and positions are marked relative to the Capo, so fret 5 means 5 frets up from the Capo (actually fret 6 on the guitar).I’ve produced two clarinet parts - one sits almost entirely in the chalumeau register, and one sits almost entirely in the clarion register. The span of the piece means there always has to be places where the clarinettist is crossing the break but these are few and far between, making the piece accessible to players from early intermediate upwards.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Choir - Digital Download SKU: A0.1071141 Composed by Greg Bartholomew. Christian,Contemporary,Jewish,Sacred. Full Performance. Duration 300. Burke & Bagley #2880405. Published by Burke & Bagley (A0.1071141). This is the second of Greg Bartholomew's three choral settings of text From the Odes of Solomon, as recorded by the Ars Brunensis Chorus.  The Odes of Solomon are believed to have been written around the year 100 A.D., and include strong parallels to the Dead Sea Scrolls. Scholars have debated whether the Odes should be considered Jewish, Christian or Gnostic, and whether they were first written in Greek, Hebrew or Syriac. Early Christian writings refer to and quote from them. A Syriac manuscript containing the text of most of the Odes was discovered in 1909 by the English scholar J. Rendel Harris, and other partial texts in various languages have also been found. There are 42 Odes. Some fragments are still missing from Odes I and III, and no part of Ode II has yet been found. For these choral settings, I selected text from four of the Odes of Solomon which I found particularly compelling. From the Odes of Solomon was premiered in concert on June 2, 2002, by the Ars Brunensis Chorus under the direction of conductor Roman Valek and choirmaster Dan Kalousek at the Husov Sbor, in Brno, Czech Republic. For more information:  www.gregbartholomew.com/odesindex.html

String Quartet String Quartet,Viola - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004728 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Adrian Gagiu. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 205 pages. Adrian Gagiu #6365523. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1004728). This composition is a premiere, speculative, yet as faithful as possible embodiment of all of Beethoven’s sketches for his String Quintet in C major, Hess 41 (WoO 62), as they have been left by the composer. The usefulness and integrity of more or less hypothetical completions of sketches by great composers remains from case to case controversial. Due to the paucity of the sketches for the aim of attempting a true reconstruction, the present composition in no way falls within such category. It is obviously quite different from what Beethoven himself would have produced if he had lived more, also due to the fact that he usually transformed his preliminary sketches substantially during the compositional process. However, there are some of his frequent, subtle thematic relationships between the sketches for the Quintet movements, and probably some features in the sketches would have been kept in the completed composition. The four-movement design hypothesized by Martin Staehelin and others, as well as other retrospective or relaxed features in the sketches may be a result of a still early stage of the compositional process, or perhaps an indicator of a fourth, neoclassical creative period, together with Op. 135 and the new Finale for Op. 130.To generate a continuity draft of the Quintet, all of Beethoven’s sketches for it were used, with the addition of several ones from the same context within the respective sketchbook and which could be related to the identified Quintet sketches: some sketches are clearly labeled as being for the Quintet, while others are thematically related or written down close to them. With the possible exception of bars 75-94 and 136-155 in movement II (which are variations on the theme) and bars 140-145 in movement IV (which fill in the blank bars in the sketch with a progression based on it), virtually every bar of this composition includes the notes from the sketches in at least one of the instruments. Some of those notes were subject to transpositions and adaptations to fit the formal design, and to editorial choices for the unclear pitches and duration in the sketches. This publication includes the score, parts and continuity draft, the latter being marked with the sources in the sketches for each passage.Total duration: 33 minutes. The mp3 audio clip is the 3rd movement. Performing Rights Organization: SOCAN.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928258 Composed by Vince Clarke. Arranged by Simon James. 20th Century,Pop. Score and parts. 5 pages. DML #5742517. Published by DML (A0.928258). Only You is a song written by English musician Vince Clarke. He wrote it while with Depeche Mode, but recorded it in 1982 after forming the duo Yazoo with Alison Moyet. It was released as Yazoo's first single on 15 March 1982 in the United Kingdom, and became an instant success on the UK singles chart, peaking at number 2. It was released again in 1983 in an a cappella version by the Flying Pickets and became the UK Christmas No 1 that year. Vince Clarke originally wrote the music for the song on a guitar, and transposed the riff into synthesizer notes. This is clear from the chord structure so I have arranged it using a constantly descending bass for the first two verses. For the final verse, to give a sense of drama which is clear from the lyrics, I have switched to a three fingered chord rhythm but kept elements of the descending bass. The little tune on the outro could be sung but if you have a second guitarist could also be played.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1243451 By Gabriel Lagos. By Gabriel Lagos. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Score. 5 pages. Lagos Music #838413. Published by Lagos Music (A0.1243451). This is my first full attempt at writing sonata-allegro form. Currently I have no title for it. I wrote Minor Celebration in my sheet music, since it has an upbeat tempo and is in a minor key, and I have a reason to celebrate: two years without a single drop of alcohol! I think my influences come through a lot in my composing. In this piece in particular, the ones that are most apparent to me are: Mozart, Beethoven, Inti-Illimani (group), and Koji Kondo. Especially my opening theme, which is based on Beethoven's F Minor Sonata opening, just in reverse (it also hints at Mozart's D Minor Concerto). It took me about a week to compose this movement from start to finish. I will upload movements 2, 3, and 4 when they are finished. The plan is for: II. Andante (Minuet and Trio), III. Adagio (Funeral March), and IV. Allegro (Rondo), but I have not started writing these yet. I hope you like it :) Thank you, Gabe.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488102 Composed by Gail M. Luley. A Cappella,Advent,Christian,Classical,Traditional. 8 pages. Gail M Luley #1064981. Published by Gail M Luley (A0.1488102). Music and Performance NotesThe Advent sets a poem by Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) to music. The poet asks us to recognize that God comes to us and is present in everything around us, in the things we see, experience and feel. God ever comes and touches us with joy. We recognize God in our songs, in our moods, in sorrow, in joy, in our daily lives. This music is scored for SATB choir and viola. If a violist is not available, a violin can substitute. A piano reduction of the choral parts can be used just for rehearsal, or also in the performance if necessary. If no string player is available, the pipe organ can be used for the string part.Note on the textRabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer, and painter during the age of Bengal Renaissance. He reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Author of the profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful poetry of Gitanjali, he became in 1913 the first non-European and the first lyricist to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.Song Offering/Gitanjali 45Have you not heard his silent steps? He comes, comes, ever comes.Every moment and every age, every day and everynight he comes, comes, ever comes. Many a song have I sung in many a mood of mind, but all their notes have always proclaimed,He comes, comes, ever comes. In the fragrant days of sunny April through the forestpath he comes, comes, ever comes. In the rainy gloom of July nights on the thunderingchariot of clouds he comes, comes, ever comes. In sorrow after sorrow, it is his steps that press upon my heart, and it is the golden touch of his feet that makes my joy to shine.Rabindranath Tagore.

Treble recorder and piano - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q54256 Eine umfassende Schule für Gruppen-, Einzel- und Selbstunterricht. This edition: teacher's book. Downloadable, Teacher's edition. Op. Vol. 1. Schott Music - Digital #Q54256. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q54256). English. The best way to learn any instrument is to have lessons from a good, experienced teacher. Although, happily, the number of such teachers is constantly growing, the recorder is still frequently taught by enthusiastic but inexperienced teachers and many players start by teaching themselves. This series of books sets out to help learners of all ages in all three situations. Experienced teachers, who may choose to disregard much of the text as personal demonstration is always clearer than the written word, will find exercises and fine tunes a-plenty to support their own mathod at each stage. The less experienced willbenefit from many valuable teaching hints culled from long experience and may rely on the books to lead to a sound playing technique and a mastery of simple notation. Those learning by themseves - and I started in this way - are urged to work carefully and systematically through the books, taking plenty of time to assimilate each point before moving on. For them, without the personal model provided by a live teacher, it is vitally important to listen as often as possible to fine players, in person or on record, so that they have in their mind's ear a clear notion of the kind of sound they would like to produce. But however they start, I can only wish that all who use these books will derive as much pleasure and musical satisfaction and gain as many lasting and valued friendships as I have through this most subtle, delightful and sociable of instruments. (Brian Bonsor) “...this work is likely to become a standart work very quickly and is to be recommended to all schools where recorder studies are undertaken“ (Oliver James, Contact Magazine) These two tutors, with accompanying teacher's books, are for newcomers to the instrument who are beginning on the treble and so assume no previous knowledge either of the instrument or of musical notation.
