This little Christmas tune takes some cues from the famous Christmas bells.
The C-G-A-E theme weaves its way throughout the texture in various guises
from legato and striking quarter-note passages between the solo flute and the
piano to softer instances over longer note durations. Several eighth and
sixteenth note runs will give the flautist a run for their money. All of the
frills in this piece are to make this a happy and festive piece for all who play
it.
Dedication
This work is dedicated to a dear friend from my high school days, Sarah Aplet. It
is an honor to write this piece for her.
Cody Weinmann is a prolific composer of many different types and genres of music.
These can range from works for solo piano and solo instrument with piano
accompaniment to full band, orchestra and choral works. He also is an avid writer
of original music and arrangements for young people, including his own piano
students.
