Instrumental Duet E-Flat Clarinet,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.594094 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by David McKeown. Blues,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 3 pages. David McKeown #6549669. Published by David McKeown (A0.594094). Silent Night is a much-loved Christmas carol. This version is arranged as a duet in a Gospel style for one Clarinet and one Alto Clarinet.  Click on the YouTube link above to listen to a full length performance of this arrangement played on Clarinet. The melody of Silent Night was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber in 1918, a setting for the lyrics of a young priest, Joseph Mohr. After flooding had damaged the church organ in Oberdorf, Austria, Mohr asked local schoolmaster, Gruber, to write a Christmas melody to be accompanied by guitar. Silent Night was the result. The carol remained unpublished until 1833, but has since gained huge international popularity. Bing Crosby’s version sold more than 10 million copies and UNESCO has declared the carol an intangible cultural heritageWith a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Silent Night is perfect for seasonal celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. The gospel style is a fun, fresh and soulful take on this familiar tune.Silent Night is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. The 9/8 meter may be feel unusual to some, and there is plenty of articulation detail to help deliver an authentic style. The melody is played twice, with a short intro and a bluesy outdo. This arrangement is suitable for players at an intermediate level.

Small Ensemble Drum Set,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802653 By Bee Gees. By Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Dance,Disco. Score and parts. 13 pages. Peet du Toit #6204523. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802653). Holiday is a song released by the Bee Gees in the United States in September 1967. It appeared on the album Bee Gees' 1st. The song is composed primarily in a minor key with a strong orchestral presence. Brothers Barry and Robin Gibb, who also wrote the song, share lead vocals. The song was recorded during the same session as To Love Somebody around April 1967. The song remained a concert favourite for over 30 years, and Maurice Gibb often provided the audience with comedic antics by attempting many failed attempts to join Barry and Robin while singing this song. All three Gibb brothers sung the Dee dees in the chorus sections of the song.I really like this brass version of the song. Enjoy!

Clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, viola, piano - Digital Download SKU: IZ.PDP100 Composed by David Diamond. Score and Parts. 97 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #PDP100. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.PDP100). 9 x 12 in inches. The Chamber Symphony dates from his New York period before he studied with the legendary Nadia Boulanger (1887-1979) at the American Conservatory outside of Paris. Like other works from his early 20s, this piece exhibits an extraordinary grasp of structure and overall design within a tonal harmonic language. The unusual scoring (clarinet, bassoon, viola, trumpet, and piano), like so many other chamber pieces written between the two World Wars, shows the influence of Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971), who would later become a close friend of the young American. The Chamber Symphony was premiered on 7 May 1937 at the Federal Theater in New York City. Jacques Gordon conducted the WP A Ensemble. Evidently the group was under-rehearsed and Diamond was not happy the performance. Thinking that the fault lay with the composition itself, he consigned the score and parts to a trunk in the attic of the family home in Rochester where it remained for over fifty years. I ran across a reference to the Chamber Symphony in the early 1990s and telephoned David Diamond to ask if I could get a copy of it. Thus began a sporadic exchange of telephone calls and postcards over the next five years. Among other things, we discovered that his parents and my paternal grandmother had come from the same region of Ukraine. Eventually he tottered up to the attic and sent me a copy of the score, with his penciled corrections, and his original parts, which I photocopied and returned to him. I performed the piece with colleagues at Kansas State University and sent Diamond a copy of the recording. He was ecstatic with our performance and told me I wonder why I've suppressed it for all these years? I got to meet David Diamond in June 2000 and we discussed the possibility of trying to get the Chamber Symphony published. He averred that his regular publishers wouldn't be interested owing to the limited market for such a work. A year after David Diamond's death I began my venture into music publishing and contacted Sam Elliott, a close friend of the composer's who serves as the executor for his estate. Mr. Elliott was happy to hear that I wanted to publish the Piece through Prairie Dawg Press and gave his kind permission to do so. I hope that my colleagues will enjoy this work as much as I have and that it will receive frequent performances.

Broadway,Contemporary,Early Music,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Marcelo Borba #1087701. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1512732). Leadsheet style The theme song for the animated television series The Smurfs is an iconic and catchy tune that is instantly recognizable to many. The theme song was composed by Belgian musician Pierre Kartner, who is also known by his stage name Vader Abraham. Kartner composed the song in 1977 specifically for the Dutch-language animated television series called De Smurfen, which was based on the comic strip created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo. The song's original Dutch title is La la la (Het Smurfenlied), which translates to La la la (The Smurf Song) in English. The lyrics are simple and repetitive, with the chorus consisting mainly of La la la la la la followed by Smurf, smurf, smurf on, reflecting the playful and whimsical nature of the Smurfs. The success of De Smurfen led to the production of an English-language version of the series, simply titled The Smurfs, which premiered in the United States in 1981. For the English version, the theme song was adapted and sung by a group called The Hanna-Barbera Singers, with William Hanna and Joseph Barbera being the producers of the American series.Since its creation, the Smurfs theme song has become synonymous with the beloved blue characters and has remained a staple of the franchise across various adaptations, including films and subsequent television series. Its infectious melody and simple lyrics have helped it endure as a beloved piece of pop culture around.

Flute Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.840486 Composed by Wilhelm Olof Peterson-Berger. Arranged by Ted R. Marcus. Chamber,Classical,Romantic Period. 14 pages. Ted R. Marcus #3548663. Published by Ted R. Marcus (A0.840486). A delightful arrangement of Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's Lawn Tennis, from Book 1 of Frösöblomster (Flowers from Frösö Island). Frösöblomster is a collection of piano miniatures in the Romantic nationalist style of Grieg, inspired by the composer's summer vacations on rustic Frösö Island in central Sweden. The pieces have remained popular in Sweden for over a century. Peterson-Berger's depiction of a summertime tennis game seems ideally suited for flutes.

Trumpet (in Bb) and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q15274 From the Idyll At Twilight. Composed by Zdenek Fibich. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: Sheet music. Edition Schott - Single Edition. Downloadable. Op. 39. Schott Music - Digital #Q15274. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q15274). The reputation of the Bohemian composer Zdenek Fibich (1850-1900) has always been somewhat overshadowed by that of Bedrich Smetana and Antonín Dvorák. This is a pity, for Fibich, though he died young, made an equally important contribution to the emerging Czech national styl with his wide range of compositions. After starting piano lessons with his mother as his first teacher, the boy went on to music school in Prague and then to the Leipzig Conservatoire, where he learned his craft as a composer. He spent a few months teaching piano in Paris and then continued his studies with Vinzenz Lachner in Mannheim. Prague was eventually to become the centre for Fibich's musical activities: as his dream of a post at the Conservatoire remained unfulfilled, his main employment was giving private music lessons and as a composer Zdenek Fibich wrote works for many musical genres: vocal and chamber music, piano pieces and orchestral works, operas, stage music and melodramas, literary recitals with orchestral accompaniment to which he gave a new lease of life. There are biographical traces to be found in the 376 piano pieces of the collection 'Moods, Impressions and Reminiscences' Op. 41, written in 1892-98: this tells of his love for his pupil Anezka Schulzová in the form of a 'piano diary'. Its four volumes were frequently a source of material for other works, such as the symphonic poem 'In the Evening' Op. 39 (also known as 'A Summer's Evening' and 'At Twilight'), written in 1893. For his second subject in this 'Idyll' Fibich used the minature no. 139, entitled 'Lento', from his collection of piano pieces. The violinst Jan Kubelík played the melody from 1908 onwards with the title 'Poème', and the work is still known today under this title: its easy charm has made it a favourite tune in the classical repertoire. This arrangement is based on the orchestral version from which other material was adapted for the Prelude.

It was written by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon-McCartney songwriting partnership. The band recorded the song with keyboardist Billy Preston; the single release with Get Back was credited to the Beatles with Billy Preston. Originally released as a B-side, producer Phil Spector excluded the song from Let It Be. However, it was eventually included on an alternative mix of the album, Let It Be... Naked. The live performance of Don't Let Me Down on the roof of Apple Corps on January 30, 1969 remained memorable.

Piano - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6759 Composed by Charles Marie Widor. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. 1 und 29. Schott Music - Digital #Q6759. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6759). Key: E minor.Whereas the organ works by Widor have secured a solid position in the repertoire, his no less elaborate and artistic piano works are known to only a small circle of pianists, probably because the piano works by Debussy and Ravel outdid him in this field. 'Variations de Concert sur un thème original' carried by profound melancholy were published in 1867 for the first time and have remained his non-verifiable opus 1 to this day. They show that the young composer takes the tonal language of J. S. Bach as a starting point, yet gives his cycle of variations, which is reminiscent of the 'Goldberg Variations', its own romantic expression. In 1876 he revised the variations and published them under the slightly modified title of 'Variations sur un Thème original pour piano' Op. 29. Our carefully edited new edition contains both versions (Op. 1 and Op. 29) about which one may say without exaggeration that they should be in the possession of every concert pianist.
