Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1431361 By Grant Horsley. By Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by Grant Horsley. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 6 pages. Grant Horsley #1011831. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.1431361). This beautiful prelude is no 4 from a set of ten in opus 23. Composed in 1903 I have kept the original key but made significant alterations to make the piece possible to play for pianists who are not quite ready for the full version. A lot of big chords and big stretches have been avoided (there is nothing greater than an octave) but three note chords remain for the power of this prelude. As the original has a lot of polyrhythms (3 against 2) I have adapted these areas so it is far more user friendly, although some still remain. There is quite a bit of crossed hand work especially on page one, which I have left as it is appropriate. I have set it to advanced intermediate level, but the youtube link has the whole score for  for you to assess suitability.5 pages around 5.10 in length.

Trumpet Duet Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1508733 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Eddie Lewis. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Praise & Worship,Traditional. Score. 165 pages. Tiger Music #1084000. Published by Tiger Music (A0.1508733). Worship our Heavenly Father with these Unadorned Hymn Duets, 133 traditional church hymns in their simplest form arranged for two trumpets. The key word here is “unadorned”. In contrast to Eddie Lewis’ popular Trumpet Hymn Duets book, the duets in this book have no introductions, no modulations, no embellishments, and no clever compositional treatments. The Unadorned Hymn Duets utilize only the melody and a working harmony part, nothing else!By “working harmony part” we mean that the harmony parts work with most hymnal versions of the hymns. Unless the keys are different, you can use these duets with your congregational singing. This is one of the reasons people love these arrangements so much. The harmonies remain true to the original hymns.Another nice feature of these Unadorned Hymn Duets is that they are ready to be used by trumpet players of most skill levels. A quick scan of all the hymns in the book reveals only eight written G’s above the staff. All the rest of the hymns remain inside the staff in the first part. The second part can be tricky sometimes, but the combined sound is beautiful.

Saxophone Ensemble,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110901 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713196. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110901). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Saxophone Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Saxophone Sextet, consisting of 1 Soprano Saxophone, 3 Alto Saxophones, 1 Tenor Saxophone and 1 Baritone Saxophone, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Saxophone Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

The remainder of the piece splits into four part women's harmony with flowing, moving lines in each vocal part. Excellent selection for church, school or professional ensembles. May be sung in English or French. English TextBring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella!Bring a torch, to Bethlehem come!Christ is born. Tell the folk of the villageMary has laid him in a manger.Ah! Published by Martin J. Van Klompenberg (A0.1313537). The African Wild Dog, or Painted Dog, is one of the elite predators in sub-Saharan Africa. Theyare unfortunately also one of the most endangered mammals on Earth. This is in part to theirunique pack structure, where only ten percent of female wild dogs will mother pups. If a youngfemale wild dog wants to inhabit the role of a mother within a pack, they must disperse and finda new pack. More than half die while searching. This is the story of three who survived: The three travelers. In October 2021, three sisters of the Luamfwa African wild dog pack abandoned their pack. Atthree years old, if they did not seek a new pack, they would live as subordinates, without pups, for the remainder of their lives. The sisters were tracked by radio collar by researchers atMontana State University. These sisters traveled more than 1,300 miles, including multiple crossings of the Luangwa River, home to one of Africa’s largest crocodile populations; entering the Great Rift Valley, where theycrossed paths with several other packs, unsuccessfully; and even crossed the Great East Roadnear Lusaka, the primary route of travel between the capital cities of Zambia and Malawi. As ofthe story’s publishing, the three sisters were still roaming in search of a new pack.Migration is fascinating, but when the journey greatly surpasses the expectation, it’s difficult tofind incredible inspiration.Recording available here

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio English Horn,Flute,Oboe - Digital Download SKU: A0.1029157 Composed by Christopher Patton. Contemporary. 13 pages. Christopher Patton #4760387. Published by Christopher Patton (A0.1029157). Writing this duet for flute and oboe//English Horn began immediately after the massacre at the Pulse night club in Orlando, FL in June 2016. The fate which befell those innocent people was undeserving in spite of where they were and who they were. I expressed my anger and outrage in this music to honor the memory of those who died that night. The first movement is a bit off-kilter; there is something in the air. The second movement is evocative of having a nice evening and enjoying time with friends. As the the third movement begins, the music depicts something ominous coming which crescendos to the flute and oboe a second apart representing screams. My intent with the prior statement is not to relive the horrors of that evening. I wanted to respectfully represent what happened. I wanted the performers in addition to interpreting my music to have an active role in the composition in which the flute and oboe engage in an improvisation to represent the rampage and their outrage. The remainder of the final movement gradually slows as the flute and oboe notes are sustained and ascending to a quiet and peaceful end with the unspoken message nothing will keep us down. .

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (40 pages). So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Octet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.
