Published by BJE Music (A0.750854). This is a beautiful traditional Australian Folksong which tells the story of banishment of the singer from their native Erin. The tune probably has Irish origins. This quartet version has been arranged for 3 Bb Clarinets and a Bb Bass Clarinet, which could also be played on a Bb Clarinet as well. I’ve used this tune in my Australian Folksong Medley No. 3 for Concert Band. This traditional tune was also featured in the film The Man From Snowy River. Players of intermediate standard and above should enjoy the lively outer movements and the serene Andante.Carlo Tessarini was a violinist born near Rimini. He led a peripatetic life holding important posts in Venice, Urbino, but never staying anywhere for more than six years. He wrote instrumental music, mainly for strings and does not seem to have written any vocal music. Much of his music was published both with and without his permission during his long lifetime. He died in Amsterdam aged 76.

So I have called this arrangement On the Wallaby.
