What if Nadia Boulanger had written a work for trumpet?  What would it sound like?  Nadia's Fanfare for unaccompanied trumpet is based on the repeated motive in Nadia Boulanger's piece Three Improvisations.  There are two versions of this work, one in the original key and one transposed a minor third lower.  Both are included here.

This is a great chart! Arranger David Berger is one of the masters at transcription and/or adaptation of swing era jazz charts. Big John's Special was composed by Horace Henderson with a light airy feel but plenty of snap and energy throughout. Solos are written-out for 2nd trumpet, 3rd trumpet and 1st alto. It is a hot chart correlated to the Jazz at Lincoln Center's Jazz For Young People curriculum. (3:19).

This delightful musical interprets the Genesis story of the Creation and can be used alone or in the context of worship. A separate version is also available transposed up an octave for flute or violin. Use hymnal or other source for accompaniment. Descants for both hymns fit Lutheran Worship (LW) settings, and Lutheran Service Book (LSB) provided the Bb is changed to B natural in measure 36:4. “O Little Town of Bethlehem� also fits the Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW) setting.
