The original themes are modified and combined with my own themes, transitions , and Cadenzas.I combine the two of the most important tunes in the opera: Libiamo and Addio del'passato. Tha most significant thing for me is that they show two very important and contrasting moments in Violeta's life: wnen she falls in love and is happy, and when she senses the near approach of death. I recorded a CD with different opera fantasies, and this inspired me to compose my fantasy on La Traviata.  Enjoy!

He Sin Nian or He Xin Nian literally means New year's Greeting, composed by Ho Xiang Lee in Shang Hai in 1948 (ROC), originally the song was to celebrate the New Year soon after Christmas, so it quoted the Jingle Bells melody at the end of the music. But as time goes by, it gradually becomes the lunar new year's standard song. I decided to write lyrics for each movement, creating a version for voice (male and/or female) and classical guitar, then expanding it to this version for SATB Choir with classical guitar and percussion. The percussion parts are easy and meant to be performed by members of the choir. The picture of my grandkids looks like a poster for cultural diversity. Their varied genetic backgrounds presented an opportunity to compose an eclectic suite with each piece presenting a style representative of their unique genetic heritage. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. This download is all parts for the final movement, Soren's Jig. Performance time is 4 minutes and 21 seconds. Demand level is mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections.
