The piece was inspired by a six-month old baby in the composer's extended family and received it's first performance at her naming ceremony in September, 2015. The lush harmonies are loosely based on the letters of the child's name, creating an ostinato pattern. The elegant melody and impressionistic musical gestures are reminiscent of a young child's early, ballet-like dreams.
