Full Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.480315 Composed by James Horner. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Film/TV,Patriotic. Score and parts. 32 pages. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.480315). Apollo 13 is a 1995 American space docudrama film directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Ed Harris and Gary Sinise. The screenplay by William Broyles Jr. and Al Reinert dramatizes the aborted 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission and is an adaptation of the 1994 book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13, by astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger. The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13 for America's fifth crewed mission to the Moon, which was intended to be the third to land. En route, an on-board explosion deprives their spacecraft of much of its oxygen supply and electrical power, which forces NASA's flight controllers to abort the Moon landing and turns the mission into one of seeking scientific and mechanical solutions to get the three men home safely. Howard went to great lengths to create a technically accurate movie, employing NASA's assistance in astronaut and flight-controller training for his cast and obtaining permission to film scenes aboard a reduced gravity aircraft for realistic depiction of the weightlessness experienced by the astronauts in space. Released to cinemas in the United States on June 30, 1995, Apollo 13 received critical acclaim and was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture (winning for Best Film Editing and Best Sound). The film also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, as well as two British Academy Film Awards. In total, the film grossed over $355 million worldwide during its theatrical releases.

Marching Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927170 Composed by Arthur Willard Pryor. Arranged by George Willson. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 45 pages. George Willson #4408726. Published by George Willson (A0.927170). One of many marches penned by John Philip Sousa's principal trombonist and virtuoso, Arthur Pryor, this arrangement revises the original 1906 version heavily for the modern concert band. This simple piece follows the most basic march form with four repeated sixteen bar strains: two before and two after the key change trio. The Db Piccolo is transposed and expanded to the modern piccolo and two flutes. five clarinet parts (including the Eb) are reduced to the standard three. Eb altos are transposed for F Horn and given a bit of melody in the third strain. Many other changes scattered throughout the piece update it for the modern band while staying true to the original and breathe some new life into an old and forgotten march.George Willson has been an performer, composer, and conductor for thirty years in various mediums and ensembles.Mp3 provided is a midi extracted from the composition program.

Euphonium Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1009011 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Rob Baltus. Romantic Period. Individual part. 13 pages. Rob Baltus #6209215. Published by Rob Baltus (A0.1009011). Vergnügungszug (Pleasure Train) op. 281 is a polka composed by Johann Strauss II in 1864. It was written for the Association of Industrial Societies' Ball held in the Redoutensaal on 19 January 1864 and was inspired by the opening of the Austrian Southern Railway – the Südbahn – which operated many 'pleasure trains' offering trips from Vienna to the countryside. Johann Strauss II's vividly descriptive polka, however, is remarkable for its use of horns to suggest the chuffing of the train. In the trio section the melody constantly hints of the train's progression. The polka, like the train's journey, has to end, however, and Strauss powers home the conclusion with high chords before a resounding flourish.
