Simply trusting everyday is an arrangement for Violin and Cello of a popular old hymn tune. It works great for offertories, special music for a worship service, or for the Concert where inspirational music is desired. Arranger - also as a Violinist - is very experienced(with I Musici - world famous Chamber group of Italy), and his works are very loved world widely. And, especially, Shown Bowing sign(Violin and Cello parts) and Fingering(Violin part) will be very helpful to player. As far as the main theme is concerned, it is arranged in the form of violin and cello playing alternately. This makes the performer more interested. Attached music file is recorded with two Violins, it’s just for a reference. AND “SCORE ONLY“.

The Wild Rover is a drinking song that may date back as far as the 16th century. It is nowadays one of the most popular Irish ballads, although its origin is uncertain. I had a special request to play this tune for a 2022 St. Patrick's celebration, which inspired me to write this arrangement.
I've scored and recorded this tune for tenor recorder and violin, with each instrument getting a chance to play the melody line. I've added double stops in the violin part for a fuller, more energetic sound.
This duo can also be played on flute and violin, on soprano recorder (an octave higher than tenor recorder) and violin, or on penny whistle and violin.

“Korean Simple Suite� for flute and piano, No. 3 <Happy Wedding> Opus 273

 It consists of 5 movements in total, and all movements mainly used the traditional 5 notes of “Do.Re.Mi.So.Ra� as far as the melody is concerned. I described the wedding ceremony of the bride and groom held in the traditional Korean front yard and the surrounding scene. The original music for violin and piano was written and dedicated for the composer's own teacher, the prof. Walter Verdehr.

 1st mov. : The Front Yard: In G minor in 8/12 time, it is a short movement with a bright atmosphere. The Korean’s front yard is a friendly place for villagers' gatherings and events.
2nd mov. : Yeonzi – Gonzi: In G major in 4/4 time, natural harmonics are used to express the mysterious oriental atmosphere. The meaning of “Yeonji Gonji� is the red dot on the cheeks and forehead of the bride in a Korean traditional wedding ceremony.
3rd mov. : Joyful Dance: 3/4 time B flat major, composed in ABA form, expressed the joy of dancing in Korea.
4th mov. : Longing: In G minor in 6/4 time, tried to express the feeling of oriental waiting.
5th mov. : The Bride and Groom : It is composed of 4/4 time and 6/4 time, and as the title of the title of Groom and Bride, it shows the contrasting character of lively and calm. It was composed in a rondo form that goes back and forth between D minor and F major.

What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? is a popular song written in 1947 by Frank Loesser as an independent song. It was first recorded by Margaret Whiting in 1947 and first charted for The Orioles, peaking at No. 9 on Billboard's Best-Selling Retail Rhythm & Blues chart in December 1949. Although it is typically performed in December, that was not the composer's intent. In A Most Remarkable Fella: Frank Loesser and the Guys and Dolls in His Life, his daughter Susan Loesser explains that the singer, madly in love, is making a (possibly rash) commitment far into the future. (Maybe it's much too early in the game. Ah, but I thought I'd ask you just the same – What are you doing New Year's, New Year's Eve?) It always annoyed my father when the song was sung during the holidays. This SATB Saxophone Quartet arrangement begins with a quote from Dvorak's New World Symphony before proceeding into the rarely included verse of the song and ends with a quote from the popular song Auld Lang Syne written by Robert Burns, which is often heard on New Year's Eve. Congratulations on completing the first few pages of your Method Book! I wrote this fanfare using only the typical concepts covered within these pages. The idea was that the music would be passed out after mastery of these concepts as a reward - we would end class with a little work each day on the “concert music� even if we weren’t preparing a concert. I have always found that it’s never too early to start working on the ensemble skills of balance, blend, intonation, and understanding one’s role within the ensemble. Plus, the act of making music together is why our kids joined band: playing pieces of music is fun!

This fanfare should be played at Quarter Note = 116. It should be strong and notes should be played for their full value. There are only ever three lines (plus percussion) at any given time to help start the process of teaching Melody, Harmony, and Accompaniment.

Paradise Lost by The English poet John Milton is an epic occupying twelve books, totalling more than ten thousand five hundred lines. It retells the tale of the Fall of Mankind – the moment when Eve was enticed by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and then tempted Adam to do the same, and as a result both were banished from the Garden of Eden. Milton imagines far more detail than the Holy Bible. 

This song presents the story from Adam’s point of view, so I selected relevant passages in Paradise Lost, where Milton imagines Adam’s thoughts and experiences; and I edited them for scansion, to suit a more modern ear, and to make a logical sequence of events. 

Adam bemoans the deception of Eve by the Serpent and his own shame.   Then he hears Archangel Michael  pronounce the couple’s sentence of banishment from Eden. Next he laments his having to leave Eden. Michael warns him that there will be consequences for all his descendants, and he is given a vision of those horrid consequences—murder, disease and misery. They leave Eden, and Adam hymns of his renewed worshipful attitude,  of a final acceptance of their new more ordinary life.

DURATION:  11 minutes.




INSTRUMENTATION:  Tenor(c to top c), with either a reed quartet (Oboes, Clarinet and Bassoon) or string quartet.  Dress optional.
