Kennedy (November of 1963). As author William Manchester later wrote, “The 6th note of the 24 he played seemed like “a catch in your voice or a swiftly stifled sob� that the whole world heard, and that remains part of our national heritage.The background arrangement (optionally with chorus) heightens the emotion of the story until both give way to a regulation trumpet solo version that includes the grace note error and fades at the end. Dont get ahead of yourself, the transcirption itself has all the details and motifs Jim Ott wrote for spirit in 1979. Here's the real kicker, its not in Bb, and its not meant for G bugles, wild right? the best part is it was moderised to be even harder and more expressive than the orignial and it was done completly intentionally and its only designed in a Drum Corps format. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723039). This is a patriotic Russian (Czarist) piece written in 1915. It describes the Imperial Russian naval vessel Slava (Glory) on patrol. While supposedly written for military wind orchestra, no known copy for band exists. The only copy is a version arranged for piano four-hands by Konstantin Chernov in the Russian State Library. Slava is a programmatic work that starts with a patriotic hymn, a bugle call to duty, on patrol, a bugle call to quarters, dangerous seas, a bugle call to secure from quarters, and a triumphant return to Mother Russia. This arrangement was made at the request of Mitch Sturman, director of the Wilson Junior High School Warrior Band in El Centro, CA. It was premiered on May 16, 2014, at Wilson Jr. H.S. by the Imperial High School Tiger Band, Brooke Kofford directing. The work is moderately difficult, mainly because of the use of double flats.

It contains bugle calls and inverted bugle calls and is rather melodic. It is fun to play and everyone in the band gets a chance as the melody and counter melodies are shared by all the instruments.
