Saxophone quartet Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764661 Composed by Ruggero Leoncavallo (1857-1919). Arranged by James Pybus. Opera,Romantic Period. 10 pages. James Pybus #37123. Published by James Pybus (A0.764661). Vesti la giubba (Put on the costume) is a famous tenor aria from Ruggero Leoncavallo's 1892 opera I Pagliacci. Vesti la giubba is sung at the conclusion of the first act, when Canio discovers his wife's infidelity, but must nevertheless prepare for his performance as Pagliaccio the clown because The show must go on. The aria is often regarded as one of the most moving in the operatic repertoire of the time. The pain of Canio is portrayed in the aria and exemplifies the entire notion of the tragic clown: smiling on the outside but crying on the inside. This is still displayed today, as the clown motif often features the painted-on tear running down the cheek of the performer. The 1904 recording by Enrico Caruso was the first million-selling record in history. This aria is often used in popular culture and has been featured in many renditions, mentions, and spoofs. In this arrangement for SATB Saxophone Quartet written in 2013, the original key has been transposed to a more saxophone-friendly key. The tenor saxophone is featured. Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818187 Composed by Philip Le Bas. Easter,Sacred. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #6333823. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.818187). An anthem composed by Philip le Bas especially suitable for church choirs during Lent (or Advent) and Holy Week. It might also be particularly suitable for Remembrance services. The Jacobean poet Phineas Fletcher’s passionate prayer of repentance is here set to music for SATB choir and organ. In a series of pulsating descending scales the author’s words express heartfelt remorse for his sins, reflecting the story of Jesus and the weeping woman in Luke 7:36ff. This is real, deep sorrow and regret, looking to the Prince of Peace for forgiveness: at one poignant moment the music reaches a point of stillness as the slow tears continue to fall. The weeping then turns to anger, crying for vengeance, because sin doth never cease. The music rises to an intense climax, but suddenly vanishes; the anger is, after all, self-directed. Finally the text returns to a prayer of supplication to drown all my faults and fears, and the harmonies end with a hope-filled hint of future healing. Drop, drop, slow tears, and bathe those beauteous feet, which brought from heaven the news and Prince of Peace. Cease not, wet eyes, his mercies to entreat; to cry for vengeance, sin doth never cease. In your deep floods, drown all my faults and fears; nor let his eye see sin, but through my tears.  Phineas Fletcher (1623)The composer acknowledges with gratitude the ideas and help received from the Composition Workshop of Morley College during the Spring term of 2021, and particularly from its tutor Dr Paul Sarcich.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1019351 Composed by Kevin Longley. Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. Kevin Longley #3378573. Published by Kevin Longley (A0.1019351). Cafe Terrace I for Piano, composed in August of 2006 was the first in a set of 3 pieces inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Café Terrace at Night. The music's underlying idea attempts to depict the laughing, the crying, the arguments and the quiet conversations van Gogh may have observed while conceiving his masterpiece. It begins in a flutter of excitement demonstrating the commotion of the Cafe at its busiest hour. As the piece progresses the musics character slowly changes. Moving towards a more agitated state it finally descends to the lower register of the piano, depicting a verbal conflict. This conflict eventually resolves and returns to the opening music which then leads to the exuberant ending.

Choral Choir,Choral (SSAA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1267123 By Meat Loaf. By Jim Steinman. Arranged by Michael Thomas Coull. 20th Century,Contemporary,Pop,Rock,Standards. 18 pages. MTC Publishing #859757. Published by MTC Publishing (A0.1267123). You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth - Choral Arrangement for SSAA and Piano by Michael Thomas Coull. You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (also known as You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)) is the first solo single by the American singer Meat Loaf, released in 1977.  It is a track from his album Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman. According to his autobiography, Meat Loaf asked Jim Steinman to write a song that was not 15 or 20 minutes long, and, in Meat Loaf’s words, a ‘pop song’.  His autobiography also dates the writing of the song to 1975, the song reportedly being a key factor in Meat Loaf and Steinman deciding to do an album together.  The song was the first single released from the album, with an edit of For Crying Out Loud as the B-side.  The record peaked at No. 73 in the Record World singles chart, and didn't appear at all in Billboard Hot 100.  Billboard reviewed the single, finding the guitar introduction to be energetic, the beat to be ‘catchy’ and the vocal performance to be somewhat similar to Bruce Springsteen.  Billboard also commented on how occasional pauses in the instruments allow the ‘infectious’ vocals to be highlighted.   Following the success of the next two singles, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, the song was re-released in October 1978 with Paradise as the B-side.  This issue peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, over a year after the first release of the song. This exciting and energetic choral arrangement is voiced for SSAA women's choir with piano accompaniment, and will lend a touch of contemporary pop/rock to your next concert. Also available for SATB.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1043823). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. Text: Walk with me. When my trek through life seems barren, walk with me. When my soul is parched and arid, walk with me. When my drought has brought on thirst, when my God is not placed first, when I sense the very worst, Oh, walk with me. Weep with me. When all happiness escapes me, weep with me. When my peaceful heart forsakes me, weep with me. When I’m broken past repair, when no one is there to care, when a friend is very rare, Oh, weep with me. Mourn with me. When my heart is full of sorrow, mourn with me. When it’s hard to face tomorrow, mourn with me. When I’m crying all alone, when I feel less love is shown, when I doubt if I am known, Oh, mourn with me. Comfort me. Now I feel God coming closer. He comforts me When I feel I love Him most, He comforts me. When I trust his holy word, when I follow truths I’ve heard, when I feel so God-assured, He comforts me.
