A Warm-up exercise reinforces the right-hand D position and the left-hand Middle C position—there's also, a “Push-Up” exercise to strengthen the 4th finger of each hand.This patriotic march uses half notes, quarter notes, 8th notes, and quarter rests and it includes dynamic contrast as the melody emerges, shared between both hands. The arrangement includes ascending and descending steps and skips with contrasting legato and staccato techniques in an altogether exciting marcato style. Original lyrics can be used to help with memorization. This march would be a great addition to the end-of-year piano recital or even a piano competition.Merry Go Round is also Primer or Early Level 1.
