It's an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement of the famous theme from Nintendo's 1985 game Super Mario Bros..

Composed by Koji Kondo, the game's theme song (which also became known as the Overworld Theme or Ground Theme) has been used throughout the Super Mario franchise. 

In 2023, it became the first song from a video game to be preserved in the Library of Congress!

With its fast tempo and heavy use of syncopation, the piece comes with some challenges. 

Nevertheless, it's fun to play − and it makes for a fantastic piano cover!
