Violinist Heide Hille Riggs presents an innovative Celtic Fiddling Ebook to guide the fiddler from notations of a tune melody to achieving the distinctive Celtic sound. Designed as the perfect practice companion for the style novice, this Ebook contains audio examples that demonstrate the instruction on how to execute ornaments and bowing patterns, and a working Table of Contents which allows the reader to go directly to any page and navigate from style instruction to a tune. Ornaments such as the turn, roll, slide and cut, bowing patterns and rhythmic use of the bow are explained and marked by hand for authenticity, and applied to thirteen favorite Celtic session tunes. Included are some of Heide’s handwritten transcriptions, six full tune recordings, and personal experiences from her journey pursuing the distinctive sound of Celtic music. This purchase includes a recording by Heide Hille Riggs of the popular Irish session tune,Lark in the Morning.  The book originated as an Ebook with imbedded audio examples of the ornaments and bowing for each tune, referenced by track number. American Triptych presents aspects of spiritual experience as expressed by three North American poets: Americans E. E. Cummings and W. S. Merwin, and Canadian Bliss Carman. Commissioned by the Reading Choral Society, Reading, Pennsylvania, David DeVenney, conductor. The work received its premiere performance on November 13, 1999.
The third movement, Mariner’s Carol, uses the metaphor of a sea journey to express a spiritual journey toward wholeness. A return to the minimalist rhythmic textures of the first movement creates a mood both calm and expectant. The chosen ensemble of instruments (harp, soprano saxophone, double bass, piano and percussion) gives the work a decidedly American character.
This work can also be performed with piano four-hands alone, or with piano four-hands and any combination of the ensemble instruments, with the two pianists omitting any doublings as indicated by the cues. Duration: 8:00.

Every relationship is unique, each unfolding and developing in their own special way. To truly reflect friendship, a piece has to take into account its different stages. This piece allows the performer to choose their own ending to their relationship and allows the audience to embark on a journey into the performer's inner world.

This piece is in the form of a mini-suite. Each movement represents a state of a friendship, from getting to know someone, becoming closer and closer, to arguments, apologies, and both satisfactory and unsatisfactory conclusions.

Despite the detailed performance markings, this piece should be openly interpreted and suitably adapted to the performer's preferences because as much as this piece comes from the composer's mind, it is up to the performer to make it part of him/her as well. Using flexibility in tempo to emphasize emotional contrast and having fun is encouraged.

Shadowlands:  A Journey is a programmatic work in three movements for Flute Choir written in memory of the composer’s uncle who died from cancer. 

Movement One (Out of the Darkness), written in a minor key, contains a plaintive melody conveying sadness which later transforms to hope. 

Movement Two (Into the Shadows) begins with a beautiful bass and alto flute duet written in quartal harmony.  The melody is introspective, yet, in conjunction with syncopated chords by 4ths, keeps moving the listener forward toward a climax of resignation. 

Movement Three (Moving Toward the Light), written in a major key, conveys a feeling of hope and peace, ends with a touching chorale which extensively utilizes chords with added seconds.

Scored for piccolo, 3 flutes, alto flute, and bass flute, and opt. contrabass flute (doubling bass flute part)
