Originally titled Andante on Nordic Folk Tunes, it features Scottish and Irish melodies, eventually adopting the title Celtic due to its distinctive sound. Jacques Rensburg, a cellist, may have been the work's dedicatee. The title comes from a pattern of speech found only in Chicago where people still say over by here and over by there. It swings well and invites a couple tambourines playing on 2 and 4. This is a fun chart but is very correct musically even if you expect the Blues Brothers to show up when it’s played. It can be opened for solos if needed.
