From Cello Duet to Mixed Level Cello Choir, options abound in this arrangement of Paint It Black, which makes the style of Netflix’s Wednesday Addams accessible to the level of a student Cello Choir.  Being arranged here in g minor allows the Cello 3 part to use entirely open strings for beginners to participate. The Cello 2 part requires the use of extensions and offers fingerings for shifting through upper third position.  Quick changes from pizz. to arco, to col legno, and quick string crossings offer exciting challenges for a late Suzuki Vol. 2 level cellist.  The more advanced upper third position fingerings would be appropriate for supplemental practice for a Suzuki Vol 3 level cellist.  The Cello 1 part requires shifting up to fourth position and the half string harmonic, making it appropriate for a Suzuki Vol. 3 level or above cellist.  For use as a duet, the Cello 3 part can be omitted, with the Cello 2 part cellist playing the cues in parentheses.  Paint It Black was written by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, and was arranged here under arrangeme.com, by Dina H. Suite for Strings in D is an original work that draws its inspiration from previous classical composers of the genre—individuals that set evolving standards in the medium over centuries—including Antonín Dvořák, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Edvard Grieg, and Peter Warlock.  The Suite for Strings in D was written to capture some of the stylistic elements found among the works of these composers using musical motives from Keaton’s sketchbooks that have been consolidated into a dance suite with a general four-voice texture to produce a lyrical suite for strings.Stylistic emulations are visible throughout the Suite for Strings in the “Waltz� (Tchaikovsky), the two-part “Ouverture� (Purcell and Corelli), the “Rigaudon� (Peter Warlock), and “La Réjouissance� (Handel).  The suite’s fourth movement, “Alla Marcia,� conveys Keaton’s personal style apart from the other movements’ emulations.

Benton recorded the song in November 1969 with arranger/producer Arif Mardin at Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida. Benton had signed to a new record label, Cotillion Records (a subsidiary of Atlantic Records), by label A&R chief and producer Jerry Wexler. The RIAA certified the single gold for sales of one million copies. In the liner notes of the album In Time: The Best Of REM 1988-2003, REM’s guitarist Peter Buck writes that the reason the lyrics are so atypically straightforward is because it was aimed at teenagers, and I've never watch ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’, but the idea that high school is a portal to hell seems pretty realistic to me. It’s a wonderfully simple song to play but less easy to sing convincingly. As with Eternal Flame a simple second guitar part can be added by strumming the chords on the off beats (beat 2 & 4). Although the guitar part is scored in 6/8 which makes it easier to read, the song is really a slow 4 to a bar, one bar per chord. The screenplay by William Broyles Jr. and Al Reinert dramatizes the aborted 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission and is an adaptation of the 1994 book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13, by astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger. The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13 for America's fifth crewed mission to the Moon, which was intended to be the third to land.
