Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. Analysia's Margarita was inspired by a street merchant chant that I heard in the Andes. I used this melody to give this piece a Peruvean flavor. Performance time is 3 minutes and 34 seconds, with a demand level of mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections. An outstanding option for any wind quintet's popular music collection this arrangement of When The Party's Over features densely packed harmonies, abd subtle nuances of dynamics and texture. Scored for wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon) the arrangmenet opens with a chorale like introduction of the songs main chord progression. The melody is introduced one voice at a time over long sustained notes only joining together in a tutti at the first chorus. The texture and intensity expands in the second verse before revisitng the gently stated tutti of the chorus once again. The bridge is led by the horn and punctuated by the upper voices of the woodwinds before passing off to a brief solo flute passage setting up the final chorus. The song closes just as it begun with a soft chorale of the songs opening chord progression. Score and parts included (17 pages).

Waldteufel composed his beautiful Skater's Waltz in 1882, having been inspired by the Cercle des Patineurs or 'Rink of Skaters' at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The wonderfully orchestrated work is especially graceful, invoking scenes of winter and skaters falling to the ice. Angus Armstrong's very fine 8 minute arrangement is suitable for advanced performers and is scored for: Piccolo Trumpet in B-flat, C Trumpet & 2 Trumpets in B-flat, 2 Horns, 3 Trombones, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani and Percussion
