Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.984286 Composed by Karen McAulay, music and lyrics. Contemporary. Score. 8 pages. Dr Karen E McAulay #4623801. Published by Dr Karen E McAulay (A0.984286). You could say Shakespeare has come to the Scottish Borders, here. I've always liked the idea of spinsters spinning in the sun, as described by one of Shakespeare's characters in Twelfth Night, so I combined this with the old Borders folklore that every spinning wheel has its own resident fairy. These habetrots aren't the ethereal Tinkerbell kind of fairy! They'll do your work - but at a price. It's written for a mezzo soprano or baritone with piano accompaniment, with a vocal range from A below middle C, to F on the top line of the treble clef.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1333890 Composed by Robert Schumann (1810-1856). Arranged by Stephen Levintow. 19th Century,Chamber,Romantic Period. 6 pages. Cypress Publishing #920169. Published by Cypress Publishing (A0.1333890). This soulful, contemplative piece, originally for piano three hands (the treble player having only a right hand melody) was quickly adapted for violin and piano, and played in that form at Schumann's funeral by Joseph Joachim and Johannes Brahms. This quartet version actually allows the harmonies to sustain better at slow tempo than in the piano original.CYPRESS PUBLISHING is pleased to be the imprint for arrangements for string ensemble by Stephen Levintow. He is a free lance professional violist and violinist specializing in chamber music, who began making string quartet and trio arrangements for wedding, party and corporate events, to expand the repertory or to improve on existing versions. Selections include unusual pieces by both familiar and lesser-known composers, plus standard classical and popular favorites. The goal is to produce high-quality, musically satisfying arrangements faithful to the composer’s original material, yet sight-readable in most cases by working professionals or intermediate to advanced students. The full range of normal string technique is employed, while avoiding unnecessary technical complexity. Melodic material is distributed throughout the four voices where appropriate, to maintain listener and performer interest. All parts and scores are set in Sibelius© software format, with careful attention to legibility and page turns.

Full Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1178931 By W. Luke Kelly. By W. Luke Kelly. 20th Century,Contest,Festival,Traditional. Score and parts. 28 pages. W. Luke Kelly #778901. Published by W. Luke Kelly (A0.1178931). On the Moors is a free form, free tempo piece, meant to evoke a walk through green hills and a cool breeze. Begin the piece with confidence, but calmly. The piano player should be the highlight of the piece, but give room for some spotlights to the woodwinds and strings at times. Observe the fermatta at m. 14 with a great amount of anticipation, perhaps even a few beats of silence. Allow the audience to lean in as they reach for the next note, then bring in the new key at m. 15 with purposeful steps into the next motif. Observe molto rit and poco rit sections to take as much time as the Director wishes, and consider the entire piece espressivo with overtones of warmth, as in sunlit rolling hills during an early Spring afternoon.Composer's Note:This piece is dedicated to the beauty of the State of Ohio, whose open fields, beautiful rolling hills, and warm sun have become my home, and to it's people, who are as warm and welcoming as any American community could ever be.
